  8. Marybeth performing with her teammates. :flowers: Not really a good song for them but Marybeth sounded good anyway. :D PHa98cajsVs
  9. Here's the Team Blake performance from Tuesday. :flowers: The song fits Blake and Ricky more but Kat did what she can with that song. Also when they performed, Kat wasn't called safe yet; that may have affected her confidence some. But Kat is such a trooper. vNG0or413p8
  10. Ricky seemed to have fun during this Team Blake performance. He sounded great too. vNG0or413p8
  11. It's a great song and I think it suits Marybeth's voice. It will also help her go back to her country lane. It seems her performances got more support when she was singing a country song (Angel from Montgomery, Burning House, Go Rest High on that Moutain).
  12. Happy Thanksgiving to Danielle and #teamDanielle. :flowers: :sorcerer: https://twitter.com/DBradbery/status/1200207696567373825

  15. This is soft and emotional and pretty :flowers: oUvOqP7HlA8
  16. I love Ricky's cover of "Georgia on My Mind." He was very young when he posted this video but it was good. I wish he'd sing this on the show. :sorcerer: vJEVvY3GZbY
  17. Maybe it's time for Marybeth to sing country again, and show her great storytelling. I'd love to hear her version of "Humble and Kind" by Tim McGraw. :sorcerer:
  18. I would love for Kat to play the piano again. I love this cover. I wish she can sing it on the show MaIXMSdpHTE
  19. I apologize for not responding sooner, I was busy making chocolate cheesecake and pecan pie for tomorrow's gathering. I didn't expect my little wiki trivia about the song "I'll Fly Away" would receive such a lengthy response so I appreciate that you took the time to write all that. :flowers: My comment is by no means intended to offend or point any assumption about your knowledge of the song or the genre. I mentioned the gospel origin of the song for the readers, because I always thought it was bluegrass (thus part of the country family) and I noticed that The Voice described it as a "gospel tune". Anyway, I think Kat's studio sounded great and the live performance also sounded good for me. They compared her voice to Alison Krauss a couple of times during the pre-lives, I expected that they'll assign her one of Alison's songs. And if she gained votes from the country fans and/or gospel fans because of that song, good for her. :sorcerer:
  20. Congratulations to Jake for easily advancing to Top 10. He also got the streaming bonus for the 2nd week in a row.
  21. Nah, Hoot just knows the game and he has his voters ready to stream. He also is very active on social media urging his fans to stream.
  22. "I'll Fly Away" is not a country song, it's a gospel song. The Alison Krauss version has been played on folk radio when it was released as part of the soundtrack for "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I%27ll_Fly_Away
  23. It does not have to be. There will always be negative and trollish people but for the most part, IDF is relatively 'nicer' than other Voice related discussion platforms.
  24. yay thanks for creating Cass' thread, istersay :flowers: Here's the link to Cassadee's new album Stages https://smarturl.it/StageswithCommentary
