7. Will - It was a mess, but I was thoroughly entertained!

8. Kat - A little better than last week, but still quite a few pitchy moments.

 

9. Hello Sunday - I feel like they sucked the life out of that song. Also, lots of screeching, which I could do without.

 

10. Shane - LMAO. VFTW so we can have more laughs next week.

 

Many of them sound better live than their studios. Probably the best live show of the season, so far, except for Shane.

I'm sorry. I am not a Shane fan, at all... but I just feel bad for him because I've never seen anyone get bussed that hard. No one deserves that. Go check out the dislikes bar for his latest video; it's just brutal. Kat and Hello Sunday don't have any of my pity; they were just not good tonight. Hello Sunday's pitch was way beyond acceptable, and Kat sounded like mediocre karaoke. Marybeth and Jake bored me to tears. Everyone else was decent.

3. Ricky Duran - I just like him. Blake's got a really consistent team.

4. Kat - Typical Kat. She's not going to do anything amazing, but she's smart with song choices and she's consistent

5. Katie - she has some breath control issues that showed a lot

6. Joana - Don't sing Xtina. She did a good job, but you will always come up short.

7. Hello Sunday - too big for them

9. Shane Q - he has a nice tone, but not so great control..and not a great song pick.

Tonight, overall, was a pretty good night methinks. Plenty of good to great performances, and fewer duds than usual.

 

1. Rose & Katie (I'm on board with a duet/battle royale next week! Make it Rain happen, TPTB!).

3. Joana (Her vocal was close to flawless. That I'm sure of. Less sure if there's justice in this world. Actually there isn't, so she's a goner. I'm prepared).

4. Will (The stars finally aligned for him tonight, the cool singer with the oh so cool song choice, and a sensible lane found for him to call his own. Alternative rock in, jazzy zany pop out! TPTB were wise to give him the pimp spot. They actually know what they are doing! :shifty: ).

5. Marybeth (It was very good. Anyway, I love Julia Michael's songwriting, so extra points assigned. Some songs can be too current, so there's that though).

6. Kat (I liked it. I wanted to like it because it's Kat. I didn't think I'd like the song as much for her, but I did, which is something. A very pretty vocal. I want her to be safe, so I hope my Top 6 is accurate. Yeah, right. No way Jake and Ricky are gonna be anywhere near the actual bottom, so 3-7 are still very much at risk, Will less so because of the pimp spot, unless voters get complacent).

7. Hello Sunday (They're never flawless, always some degree of messy, but tonight they took on a dragon and rode that dragon to more soars than dips. If they weren't safe before, I think they are now, maybe).

8. Ricky (He was fine. He's always fine. He needs fireworks to win though, especially considering how Rose and Katie are slaying.)

9. Jake (Like Ricky, he's plenty fine too. Unlike Ricky, just fine is probably plenty enough for Jake. Katie might nab the bonus this week, but wouldn't be surprised if it were Jake again).
