so if Kamalei wins his KO, then that confirms Chance's top 3 is Serenity/Nadege/winner of RLetto vs Alyssa (predicting RLetto). If he's stolen by John? well that narrows things down for his team a bit.

can't say I expected Dan & Shay to have my favorite playoff team, yet here we are.

Wasn't too happy to see Frank, Val and Dani leave in under 1 hour but this season is honestly really good TV lol. I mean the freaking premiere closer lost in battles and the premiere opener lost in KOs. Dani's performance dates had us all thinking she made lives, and her opening the premiere made that more convincing. Val was shown singing in a snippet for the KOs and she was eliminated, when most of us (myself included) thought she was in. Sucks that some of my favorites are already gone. But this season is honestly an entertaining trainwreck lmao.

I feel like Dani being the first aired audition also adds to her chances of going far. Obviously it doesn't mean she made lives (Neil Salsich was aired first and he was out in playoffs) but I don't recall any case of the first aired audition being cut before playoffs in a LONG time (though it probably has a lot to do with coach interactions that ensue)

caught some of the KO preview at the end of the show since i got curious, there was a good amount shown and i know i missed a few things, but here's what i saw: -a short clip of Ashley, Tae and Val singing -Olivia is singing Tiny Dancer -Val's opponent was on screen but I didn't make out who it was 100%; except it was either Gene or Nathan (considering the contestants shown in the preview I'm thinking Nathan) -RLETTO is against either Dani or Alyssa, couldn't tell since it happened so fast (I think it's Alyssa?)

A Gene/Val pairing not ending in a steal would be one of the biggest pre-live tragedies I've ever seen, regardless of who wins (which would pretty much be Gene guaranteed lol). They're far and away the best technical vocalists this season and both are right up John's alley. Especially since John doesn't factor in strategy and just picks his favorites.
