I had intended to go to this concert since I don't live very far but 11pm is really late and there is limited seating that is first come first serve. I noticed they have allowed 90 minutes for the opening act which is very unusual. Normally the opening act is no more than about 40 minutes and then Scotty could have come on at about 10pm. I spoke with the people at the fair about a week ago and when they told me he appears at 11pm I was shocked. The woman said he follows the rodeo events. This is not a huge fair and Scotty is the biggest name they have ever had. They can accommodate up to about 5,000. I think it is a mistake to give the opening act 90 minutes, at that time of night people may not hang around until 11.

There is some speculation on another forum that Lauren Alaina may have been dropped or parted ways with UMG as she is no longer on their artist's page. I have seen no press release or statement to confirm.

Absolutely NOT....Scotty doesn't need Lauren for his career. He is already having #1 singles and #1 albums, gold and platinum. He has been headlining his own tour for years and selling out venues even larger than you mention. Enough with idol nostalgia …. time to move on from that. There is no upside to this idea for Scotty at all....Not to mention, she has had more duets or featured artists songs than I can count, if those haven't helped her I don't think another will....she needs to find her own path to success without leaning on another artists to give her a boost....
