LMAOO your opening comment here of you with the fail face and even huger list. :lmao: DO YOU HAVE ANOTHER TOP 190 SONGS COMING?:spaz: But yay clues, although ugh I am gonna suck sooo much at these. So I apologizes for my sucikiness. :lmao:

Clues for the first set:

- A song that appeared in Wally's 115-108 set. // Yayy clues about my list certainly helps me out! Uhhh let’s see… Dan + Shay - “All To Myself,” Camila Cabello - “Shameless,” Halsey - “Graveyard,” Mariah Carey - “A No No,” Little Mix - “Bounce Back,” Miley Cyrus - “Slide Away”…. I don’t know how many songs you are listing so can’t say which would be higher but i think D+S would be higher and Camila probably too. Hmm Mariah’s song seems likely and Little Mix and Miley could be likely too. Not sure if the Halsey song will be here but she could be a later addition.

- A song that appeared in Wally's 107-101 set. // Marshmello - “One Thing Right” (feat. Kane Brown) or Alessia Cara - “Out Of Love.” Ooh well this is easier to guess. I can see it being one of those.

- This song title could describe what some people do to decorate for Christmas. // decorate something with lights or something festive with lights? Join together? celebrate? I DON’T KNOW. :dead:

- The singer on this song was part of one of the biggest hits of 2018. // Camila Cabello possibly. Maybe “Find U Again” with Mark Ronson. Could also be “Living Proof,” “Shameless” or :”Liar.” Ooh could Maren Morris too. I know she had “The Bones” out. Not sure of her other singles but those could work too. Ooh i see there’s “Girl.”

- The song talks about a certain group of people. // Hmmm I’m not sure what group of people this could be about. Ughh, I’M SO BAD at this. :dead:

- You may have one of these when you're studying late for a test. // Water, Juice, Coffee? Lizzo’s juice? Or some kind of energy drink. Ooh I was also thinking Whiskey and Tequila, which led me to thinking Dan + Shay’s Tequila.

- The title of this song sounds like an agreement. // Something with Yes, Yeah or Mhmm.

- A second song from an artist that goes with one of the above clues. // Ooh gosh…. gonna go with Camila Cabello here and “Find U Again” with Mark Ronson. Could also be “Living Proof,” “Shameless” or :”Liar.” Alessia Cara’s “Rooting for You,” Kane Brown song like Good as You, Saturdays or Homesick? Maren Morris The Bones or Girl.

lol using your list as clues helps me out too because I can't think of what to say. :haha: HMM. Ahh I'm gonna post the first set soon, except wait I have to write more clues still before I can. :| :dead:

It's time to finally start my big list of songs from 2019!

170. Echosmith - Lonely Generation

0ZzIvk-Wgmc

This song resonated with me right from the title because I figured it would be something this ~millennial~ could relate to. And sure enough, it touches on the subject of technology and how all our electronics have changed the way we live. I love the line that says "A pixelated version of ourselves" That's clever. The song has a cool feel to it overall and yeah I'm sure lots of people can relate. I really like the way she sings "Looking in the wrong place for something right, ooh, ooh, ooh" a few times, but the chorus is still my favorite. It has this kind of anthem feel about it, which is kind of ironic given the subject matter. I also really like this part: "Can't feel the pain, can't feel a thing, wasting time and stuck inside a broken dream" Ooh and then she repeats that last line a few times like before with a different lyric. "Is this real or just a dream? Are we living in the in-between?" :bye2: I don't know what to say. This song is all interesting with its lyrical content and the overall sound of it. I really like it, although it's a newer song for me that is still growing on me.

169. The Chainsmokers & Bebe Rexha - Call You Mine

3XCVM3G3pns

I really like this collaboration between The Chainsmokers and Bebe Rexha. Bebe's songs can be kind of hit or miss for me, I guess, as some I really love, and others are just okay, but this one is closer to the love category. I mostly love her vocals on the pre-chorus part, I think it is. But this song is about what? It seems like she's questioning the seriousness of the relationship with lyrics like, "Am I someone you cannot live without? 'Cause I know I don't wanna live without you" My favorite part is that whole section that follows, which, like I said, I think is the pre-chorus: "You said, "Hey, whatcha doing for the rest of your life?" And I said, "I don't even know what I'm doing tonight"" :giggle: That is certainly relatable. But I love how it builds up. "Went from one conversation to your lips on mine. And you said, "I never regretted the day that I called you mine"" I just love that for some reason. The beat is kind of fun too, although it has a darker feel to it... as it should, giving that she's plotting the death of these two guys in the video. :| That's not okay with me. She said she didn't want to live without him, so what's up with that? I'm going to need some answers. Oh and I think I forgot to say that the way she quickly sings the "And you said, "I never regretted the day that I called you mine"" line in her kind of falsetto sounds so good too. I like that. I have questions about this song meaning and video now though.

168. Alessia Cara - Out of Love

oljXXw0wgmg

This is not one of my absolute favorite songs from Alessia, but I do really like it and wanted to include it here. She sounds so beautiful on the song, although it's very sad. I read this was inspired by a situation one of her friends went through, and she asked Alessia to write a song about it. :bye2: Aww. It is sad as she's reflecting on this relationship and knowing she can't change things... but wondering when he stopped loving her. :bye2: I especially love when Alessia sings "Nothing can fill up the space" before the chorus. It is all very pretty.

167. Little Mix - Bounce Back

fnGHESypBuU

I don't really remember what I first thought of this song on first listen, but I do like all their vocals together on that opening part of the song (after the little instrumental :giggle: ) I don't really get the lyrics and am not quite sure what this song is supposed to be about. Oh, I see it samples "Back to Life (However Do You Want Me)" by Soul II Soul, although I have no familiarity at all with that song. The beat is pretty fun though. I think my favorite part is when Jade sings "Hey, now, say, Say who gonna send my way, Come right, alright, baby, Say who gonna send my way, way" And then that whole chorus part where they sing "However do you want me? However do you need me?" which I guess is where the sample comes from. Although still don't know what they're talking about, but I would guess it's.... something, considering some of these lyrics from the second verse I did not even know they said. :fear: But oh, their vocals on the part that goes "Baby, touch me, tease me, keep it easy" sound so good. I love Little Mix, although this isn't one of my top favorite songs of theirs.

166. Chord Overstreet - All Nighter

idl5iLGPieA

Ah yes, we meet again Chord, and no, I will still not call you by your last name. :teeheewave: Chordy. :giggle: Anyway, this song seems to be about him not being able to get over his previous relationship. The verses are quite subdued compared to the chorus, which is my favorite part. "I been lyin' awake just to keep a light on, You're the only thing I can’t get my mind off. Tryin tryin tryin but I can’t kill the fire. It's gonna be another all nighter" Ugh, all nighters are the worst. He can't sleep because she won't leave his brain. Go away girl. I don't see you paying rent. "Still got that bottle of champagne we never opened to celebrate" That's sad though. I really like how the song slightly builds up, as the last choruses sound even more powerful than before, but maybe that's just me. Also, the video is interesting, but I need to see Chord.

165. Harry Styles - Lights Up

9NZvM1918_E

I wasn't really crazy about this song at first and it took some time to grow on me, but I do like it a lot more now than I did. I would say it's still growing on me. It's a little difficult for me to follow lyrically, but I guess the song is about knowing who you are and not letting what other people say define you. It has an interesting sound and I especially like the chorus. "Shine, step into the light, Shine, so bright sometimes, Shine, I'm not ever going back" That last part my very favorite. I'M NOT EVERRR GOING BAACCCKK. I did not even remember. It's still the chorus, isn't it? Maybe not. Other parts are repeated again, while that part isn't. So I have no idea what this arrangement it. It's all so mysterious.

164. Alessia Cara - October

yrcZdxN7z-U

This was one of my favorite songs from Alessia's EP, but I didn't even realize until recently it was a single. I do really like this song though, as she reflects on the great time she's having and I guess how she doesn't want summer to end. OMG LOOK AT THE DUCKIES CROSSING THE STREET AT 0:17. I am sold. But the chorus is my favorite part of this when she goes: "I'm gonna miss it when it's over, I hope we never see October" It makes me want to sway or something. :bobo:

163. Ava Max - So Am I

SxGLPVvNjvY

I really loved Ava Max's first single, "Sweet But Psycho", which I got into late 2018, but seemed to be around all of 2019 as well. But I really like this song too. It's about accepting yourself as you are with your differences and what makes you unique. I love the poppiness, yet it still has this kind of darker sound to it that I felt with her previous single as well. The chorus is my favorite. "Oh, but it's okay to be different 'cause baby, so am I (So am I, so am I, so am I-I-I-I-I)" :bobo: I love that not only does she preach that it's okay to be different, but shows that she can relate as well. Ooh and I love the way she sings "different" at 2:51 too.

:o

It’s hard to do that with so many places in the same time zone. :dead: Yayyy to this.

omggg Don’t cryy. :bye2:

YAYY List! :w00t:

170. Echosmith - Lonely Generation: NHT and didn’t even know that this existed. :haha: Oooh interesting subject matter of the song but yea that is something very true and noticeable. That line you mentioned is clever and yeah the song is relatable. The song overall is okay for me. It’s not grabbing me too much but i think it could be one of those songs that could grow on me with some more listens. Some parts you did mention are interesting. Also funny how Echosmith shows up as I feel like we were talking about them recently.

169. The Chainsmokers & Bebe Rexha - Call You Mine: Oooh interesting how this is closer to the love side even though this is #169, so wow you love a lot of songs here. :giggle: Anyway this is a cool song and I do like this. I like this collabo and how Bebe sounds on tis. I do really like all of these parts you are mentioning and quoting here. lol love your comments on how that part is relatable. Ahh yeah the song does have a kinda fun sound to it - but also a really dark feel to it. And OMGG Bebe plotting these gus death. WTH is going on Bebe? Ah yes I like how she uses her falsetto in this too. Oooh yess you ask those questions because I sure want answers too. Besides all of this craziness I do like this.

168. Alessia Cara - Out of Love: Oooh yayyy I guessed this right! :w00t: Kinda surprised you ave this lower than me as i thought you’d have it higher but i have no issue with where you ranked it. This is a very sad song but Alessia does sound beautiful on this for sure. Aww wow at how the song came about. I didn’t know about that but aww that is touching. :bye2: I like this and agree it’s all so pretty for sure!

167. Little Mix - Bounce Back: I can’t remember my first introduction to this song or if i mentioned it but oops, I don’t remember either. Ooooh yess, I love “Back to Life” although it’s one of those songs I don’t really know the artist/title of it that much but whenever i hear it I jam to it. I do like how Little Mix samples it and gives it a modern day sound to it. :bobo: I like the Jade part that you quoted here. Yess the chorus is where the sample comes from, you got that right. I feel like that part could be interpreted in anyway you want it…. :giggle: to be. Ooh I don’t know what they really say on the second verse, as I didn’t listen to this song that much but hmmmm I guess we get an ira of what they are talking about. :giggle: Anyway this is a fun jam and ugh I wish I heard this more as I could see myself growing to love this. >.

166. Chord Overstreet - All Nighter: You still out here calling him Chord Overstreet, huh? :giggle: NHT but don’t know if I heard of this either? Hmmm yeah as you said the verses are quite subdued and quiet…. and was not doing much for me there. The chorus is much better and stands out to me and yeah I like it more. I like the part you mentioned of the chorus which his the whole thing. Overall I’m mixd on this. Like the corus but the others aren’t doing too much for me. But it could be a grower type song. Agreed that the video is interesting. And OMGGG I’m so stupid, it’s Chord Overstreet that I was missing out on…. and yeah he will for sure be on your other list.

165. Harry Styles - Lights Up: I definitely know this and have heard it a few times here and there. Hmm it hasn’t really done much for me and still isn’t. Harry is super talented of course but is kind of hit or miss for me as a solo artist. The subject matter of the song is deep and really good stuff and I like how you described that. OMGG LOL I love your comments on the chorus and how short the song and it only happening once. :dead: You seem so shook and shocked here. I don’t know but that part sounds like the chorus to me. I don’t know… this song is kinda weird to me and tough to get into but I appreciate the message of it.

164. Alessia Cara - October: Oooh nice that this is one of your fave songs on Alessia’s EP. NHT and heck I had no idea or saw that this was a single either. :lmao: I like the message of the song and how she sounds on it. It’s alright on first listen. I do think this could have potential to grow on me with more listens. This seems very laid back and chill.

163. Ava Max - So Am I: Ooh i heard this some times but wis hit was one of those songs i heard more. This has a fun pop/dancey sound to it which is fun and suits her and it has a strong and great message to it. Ooh i do feel like this is kind of a mismatch as she is singing about a serious subject matter but the song is so fun, poppy and catchy. But it has such a feel good fee to it, which his good. I like her vocals, the beat of it and the song.

Clues for 162-155:

- A song from an artist who appeared in the set just posted. // Hmm Harry Styles Watermelon Sugar or Adore You? Alessia Cara’s Rooting for You? Little Mix’s Think About Us? Ava Max’s Sweet But Psycho (though thinking that will be higher)? Overstreet’s My Ex? The Chainsmokers Who Do You Love or This Feeling?

- This song title says something we should all strive to do. // Aim for success? Be the best? Set goals and reach them?

- The two words of this song title start with the same letter. // Cool clue but lmao I bet I still can’t get it. Ugh wow only thing I can think of is Panic! at the Disco’s High Hopes which would either be much higher or not on here.

- A song from an artist who goes by one name. // Lol there’s so many….. Ciara’s Thinkin’ ‘Bout You, Beyonce’s Spirit? something from Lizzo - Good as Hell/Truth Hurts/Juice?, Normani Motivation? Max Love Me Less? Halsey Graveyard? Khalid Talk or Better?

- A song from someone who was in my first Christmas set. // Taylor Swift fits but i would think her songs would be much higher. Mariah Carey’s A No No? Idina Menzel’s Into the Unknown? JoJo’s Joanne or Sabotage? Keith Urban’s We Were?

- There is a city name in this song title. // Oooh I should know this but ugh nothing is coming to me right now.

- A song from a more recent Idol alum. // Gabby Barrett, I know she and some stuff out. There’s I Hope or The Good Ones, but IH was her bigger hit that should be higher. Could be a Caleb Lee hutchinson or Maddie Poppe like little Things, Made You Miss, Not Losing You?

- The singer of this song used to star on Disney Channel. // Hmmm Miley Cyrus’ Mother Daughter or Slide Away or Nothing Breaks like a Heart (with Mark Ronson), Selena Gomez’s Look at her Now? Don’t think Demi Lovato had anything new out. Lol wow why are those the only ones I can think of?

170. Echosmith - Lonely Generation: I liked a few songs from Echosmith's first era but I haven't been able to get into any of their new music. :(

169. The Chainsmokers & Bebe Rexha - Call You Mine: Yeah Bebe's songs are a hit or miss for me too (same with the Chainsmokers), most of the time a miss. This one is more of a miss unfortunately.

168. Alessia Cara - Out of Love: Unfortunately this song was a bit too slow and boring for me to get into.

167. Little Mix - Bounce Back: This is ok but they can do better. I wish they'd go back to their pop/R&B roots.

166. Chord Overstreet - All Nighter: LOL at your last comment. :haha: This is ok but this sort of teen pop/rock stuff is not something I can really get into.

165. Harry Styles - Lights Up: Not my favorite of his releases either but I like it well enough.

164. Alessia Cara - October: This is ok for me, it's not standing out to me or grabbing my attention on first listen but these mid tempo kind of songs are hard for me to get into, lol.

163. Ava Max - So Am I: I too loved Sweet But Psycho and I like Freaking Me Out, so hope that shows up later, but I wasn't feeling this one at much despite the message.

- I figured as much. That's okay, but at least you kind of like it. And I know :giggle:

- Oh, well I'm not going to include songs I don't like. :haha: I thought you'd like this more than your comments lead on, but we'll see. Sure is relatable to not know what I'm doing at all. Yeah, no idea about the video storyline.

- I have many more songs, so our rankings can be equivalent to each other. :teehee: I agree and yay for my story.

- lol neither of us remembering. Ah I see. I don't even know how to interpret, but okay. :shiver: Ah yeah, I think this is a slow grower for me compared to other songs of theirs.

- "You still out here calling him Chord Overstreet, huh?" :ermm: It's his name. Don't start with me. Ah okay, not surprised with your comments. It's okay. OMGGG you coming to this realization here and now. :dead: Wally, I am crying. :dead: But :giggle:

- I figured you'd feel this way and I get it. lol I was shocked. I understand.

- Yeah, I only found out on Wiki. Aww okay. Again not surprised.

- Oooh I see and yeah I don't remember hearing this on the radio. Really? I feel like she's celebrating uniqueness, so I don't really feel that. But yay. :bobo:

:shifty: :santa:

- Understandable. I probably prefer some of their earlier music as well.

- Same for me regarding The Chainsmokers too, I think. :haha: Aww okay.

- I understand.

- Same.

- Oh, lol. :lmao: I like seeing him. :giggle: I understand.

- We agree!

- Ah yeah, I get that. omg and I think I now remember you talking a lot about not liking mid-tempo last year. :haha:

- Aww okay, but yay for liking her other songs! ^_^

162. Little Mix - Think About Us (featuring Ty Dolla Sign)

Ygiz-CPVrcM

I feel like this was a fan favorite choice to be released as a single from the LM5 album, although it wasn't ever a top favorite of mine. And of course, in true Little Mix fashion, they had to add a rapper on there for the single release, when he isn't on the album version. I know your ways and I know your brain, Little Mix. :giggle: /Len Goodman. Anyway, this has grown on me and I do like it... it's just no "Strip", "Joan of Arc", "Wasabi", etc. But yeah, in the song, the girls are questioning the state of their relationships and wondering if the guys really care as much as they do for them. They specifically ask "do you think about us?" because they do. I really like the contrast in speed of the chorus to the verses, as it's much slower and... it's appropriate because it should be slow to actually make the guys think about them. (!) I'm not really sure on specific favorite parts too much, except I really like the way Perrie sings "When we're deeper in the crowd, can you feel my body now?" Although I guess lyrically, I like the first part even more where she says "Now we're dancing in the club and it's fire when we touch"

161. JoJo - Sabotage (featuring Chika)

W4bZlgIHoaQ

Yesss JoJo is back and in this song she questions if she is the reason for the broken relationship with her self-sabotage. :bye2: A lot of people can probably relate. This is a song that grows on me with each listen, but I always love just listening to JoJo's voice. This has a pretty laid back sound, but it's cool. This lyric in the pre-chorus stands out to me: "Had me ducking all the venom flying out your mouth" Although ugh. Sounds like it was that guy's fault with that kind of behavior. I have no familiarity with Chika, but her rap fits in nicely. I still prefer JoJo.

160. Caleb Lee Hutchinson - Left of Me

FXpzU1LwJMc

I believe I heard of this song from Caleb's Instagram, and I guess it was a single since he released it... although I never really heard much about it after that. :( Caleb deserves better. This song is really good. I love the whole sound of it, but especially on the chorus. His voice is so full and ugh, it just sounds great. "This old road gets cold and hard and I'm missing you" :bye2: And the ending of it... "And in another life, I'd be what you thought I could be. But now that you're gone, I'm just left with whatever's left of me" That "in another life" part always stands out to me for some reason. Hmm the only lyrics I can find online say he says "Cause I can run near and far" in the second verse, but I always heard it as "Cause I can run a marathon" I like that better since I'm a runner, so it makes me :giggle: and connect with it. Although I've only done half marathons so far, but STILL. I really love this lyric in the... third verse? I don't know where we are anymore. This song is long. :dead: But this is the lyric: "Moving on is a constant fight" I love that. I also love this part: "I wonder if you think of me, or at least what I used to be" and how he belts on that "But I know I set the fire" part. So good. His voice and the music are all so good there at the end (and the whole time). I love it. People should hear this song. I forget how much I love it when I'm not listening.

159. Alec Benjamin - Jesus In LA

eNbUNSNdYu4

I was pretty intrigued when I first heard of this song and even more so once I actually heard it. I knew Alec Benjamin somewhat, but am getting more familiar with his music now. I guess he's using a metaphor by describing the search for Jesus in LA, and meeting with the devil, but I like to take it more literally. Basically it's about not finding what you're looking for though. It has kind of a groovy, yet acoustic, vibe that I really enjoy. :bobo: Although it's also kind a somber sound at the same time, if that makes sense. My favorite is the second half of the chorus: "When they sold you the dream you were just 16, packed a bag and ran away. And it's a crying shame you came all this way 'cause you won't find Jesus in LA." :broken: I also love the way he changes the lyrics at the end to say "I came all this way" and "I won't find Jesus in LA", instead of how he said "you" before at those parts. I always love things like that.

158. Black Eyed Peas - Be Nice (featuring Snoop Dogg)

gHN-EhL8x3g

This is a song that was born from Songland and one of my favorite ones from there. I actually liked quite a few of the songs, but found it hard to rank them among the rest of the list since they didn't seem to do much after the show. They'd chart well on iTunes for awhile, but then it didn't seem like they were true singles, which disappointed me. Although, this one from Black Eyed Peas got a music video and a featured artist on it, so it at least seemed more legit. I do actually prefer the

. I always thought this song sounded like something Bruno Mars would sing on. And ugh, that awesome bridge didn't even make the final cut. :broken: But will.i.am had his face on the entire time. :dead: So funny. And it's a fun and uplifting song either way. It's pretty self-explanatory what the song is about from the title, but it's about being nice. (!) "But I do not want negative energy" Same. The chorus is my favorite though. I love how the energy kicks up there. "Hey! Be different. Be nice. Just smile, I promise it'll change your life" :bobo: I love the clapping in the middle of the chorus too. And the post-chorus or whatever that goes "The love you give is the love you get, so be nice and change your life" is fun too. lol Snoop Dogg is randomly on here, but it's cool and his part has a nice flow. My favorite lyric from him is "And fight for each other, not one another" Yes.

157. Mark Ronson - Nothing Breaks Like a Heart (Featuring Miley Cyrus)

A9hcJgtnm6Q

I would rather say Miley is the lead artist on this song, but I guess ~it is what it is. It's also strange because I feel like this is a song I heard a lot when it was out, and then all of a sudden it disappeared out of nowhere. That happens sometimes. I did really like it and the kind of darkish feel of the melody. That may not be the right way to describe it, but it has some kind of scary feel to it to me that I can't explain. The beginning of the song with Miley's vocals reminds me of another song, but then so does the verse... or maybe it's just this song that I heard enough and it reminds me of itself. :dead: I don't even know, but it's annoying me. I guess the song is pretty self-explanatory too in saying that nothing is as painful as heartbreak. I can't get much else from the lyrics in this, so I guess that's it. I think my favorite part is the end of the chorus where she says "Things fall apart, but nothing breaks like a heart" I also really like this part from the second verse: "Remember what you said to me? We were drunk in love in Tennessee" I don't know why. I feel like this is another song I enjoy more than I remember when I'm actually listening to it.

156. Ciara - Greatest Love

5BjpWJyd_hk

This is a really sweet love song that can be summed up perfectly by the title. Ciara is singing to her greatest love and the greatest love she's ever seen or known. That's so amazing and the man who inspires the song is equally amazing and worthy. :bye2: Anyway, the lyrics are so descriptive too, which only sells the point even more. I really love the vocals on the chorus, but some of the verse lyrics stand out to me the most. "From the first day that I met you, it was special, there was something different 'bout you", "Never met nobody real like this", and especially this line, "I should've known when you took my son as your own." :bye2: And then in the second verse, she says "Wish that everyone could feel this way. Ask God to take out everything toxic in my life and baby, he did" Those parts stand out to me every time I listen to the song. But the chorus has a really nice slow groove. :bobo: Wally would say it's smooth.

155. Keith Urban - We Were

a5qqslX-hBc

Keith always has some songs each year that I hear a ton on the radio, and this is one of them from the past year. I do really like this, although it's not among my most favorites from him or anything. The song basically reflects on a past relationship that didn't last. I love the way the chorus soars and that is my favorite part. Those WE WEREE parts are so good.

You should know exactly what it means. :blushingwave:

 He is fast. That's how he gets everywhere in one night. :santa:

You are the one that should get it the most though. >.

lol you don't know that, but it at least narrows options down. Yeahh ugh, I wish I had pre-written clues.

:shifty: :santa:

Hmmm. Although explanations always helps. :teehee:

Okay but it still seems impossible. :haha: Intriguing.

Oooh I see. I just wasn’t thinking of that. *blushes*

Mhmm I do because I suck at every other clue out there. :haha: It does! Ahhh yea same here.

- Mhmmm. Yeah this is very true. Oooh you know. :haha:

- Lmaooo I know. :haha: Oooh i see. Aww I do like this song too though. Ooh omggg awww. I feel like many of us can reate to that. :haha: It’s scurry. :shiver:

- Hmmm I am not sure how you would figure that out like that but hmmm. :o lol You yawing your story when it isn’t technically your story makes me giggle, haha.

- Gah I hate when that happens. I don’t either but yeah whichever way you want to interpret it can work haha. Oooh I see.

- Yeah that’s his real name but it’s not hihs music artist name. I will call him Overstreet when discussing his songs. :* OMGGG LOL your “Don’t start with me.” :giggle: Ah yeah sorry about that. LMAOOOO I couldn’t wait for your reaction and had a feeling you’d be cracking up. Goshh, had I keep track of him more by seeing him tegularly on TV and stuff, I would have thought this a long time ago. :haha:

- Ahhh okay and lol you know me so well. Shocked Denise!

- I understand. You are not surprised by anything it seems. :giggle:

- Aww I see. I think I heard this a few times on the radio? I’m not too sure. Ooh I didn’t think of it like that but ahh yeah that works. :haha:

I’m scared. :shiver: And lmao ooh snap, I didn't realize a new set was posted. Funny as I wsa replying and didn't see anything and now something is there. :haha:

162. Little Mix - Think About Us (featuring Ty Dolla Sign): Ooh I know of this song but not too well. Wow these comments of this being a fan favorite…. didn’t know that. Lol your comments on them adding a rapper on the single version but not the album version. :haha: This is something I do wish I had heard more. I’m liking it listening to it now but am sure this could grow on me with more listens. I like how you describe the message behind the song and the structure of the song with the slower parts and fast parts. Lol whatcha trying to say about needing to be slower for the guys to think about them? :giggle: No particular parts standout to me but i do like the song as a whole.

161. JoJo - Sabotage (featuring Chika): Oooh NHT and I think I just found out about this song existing on Saturday when I went with guessing. Aww the song has a really sad message and storyline. Ahh yeah this is quite laid back. This does have a cool style to it but I think it’s something I need to adjust to, as I wasn’t sure what to expect. But I like her voice on this and the rapper on this is cool too. Never heard of Chika either.

160. Caleb Lee Hutchinson - Left of Me: Oooh if you never heard much of this song being a single and such, then I definitely did not either. And yeah NHT. You know he’s not really my cup of tea but this is a nice song and it suits him and he sounds good on it. He has like a nice deep rich voice on this. The parts you listed are nice and he sings them nicely. LOL I lov your comments on the second verse. Those crack me up but I get you on that. OMGG LOL your comments on this song being long. Ah yeah wow 4:44…. songs are not this long anymore. I do like that last lyric you mentioned from the third verse with his belting.

159. Alec Benjamin - Jesus In LA: Ooooh? I have never heard of Alec Benjamin in my life before. :lmao: So obviously NHT. Wow he sounds so young. He has like a very young and tender voice. pooh this is a very interesting sound with how you describe it. And yeah the sound is a bit somber but has a nice acoustic vibe to it. I like the part of the chorus you mentioned. This is enjoyable.

158. Black Eyed Peas - Be Nice (featuring Snoop Dogg): Ooh yeah I remember this from SongLand too. And yeah what you’re saying about the songs and after show is so true. It did chart and do well on iTuns but it seemed that was the only promo those songs got - and they didn’t seem performed or promoted as true singles after that. So that is annoying. Ah yeah I think i remember thinking this song seemed like something Bruno Mars would sing when hearing it on the show. But yeah this is a fun song from BEP and I like how they were able to make it into their own sound. It may seem a little ~cheesy but it does have a good message to it and is a really fun and uplifting song. I do like all of the parts you mentioned here. Omggg lol your comments on Snoop Dogg. I remember you with him in the old days, which I can’t really explain. :lmao: omgg Snop dancing in this? I can’t take him seriously with his dancing. :dead: But I like Snoop’s part and the song as a whole.

157. Mark Ronson - Nothing Breaks Like a Heart (featuring Miley Cyrus): Lol well I am glad one of the many Miley songs I guessed were right. :lmao: OOOH LOL I totally get you on the 2nd sentence an I feel like I say this happens to me wit certain songs out there. :haha: This isn’t really one of those for me, ut kinda is at the same time? Ooh i am curious which other song this reminds you of. :o But yea I agree this song does have a dark and kinda scary feel to it. Never thought of the latter part though. Your description of the song makes sense. And I do like all of these parts you sited and I like the song as a whole. Oooh yes I realy like that part from the 2nd verse you mentioned too.

156. Ciara - Greatest Love: omgg seeing this song makes me think of “The Greatest Love of All.” Aww I love your description of this song and OMGG your comments of the man who inspires this song and your comments. Omggg awww you’re sooo cute and sweet. :bye2: But yeah I do love thus couple here. :teehee: This is a really sweet song and ah I love the old school 90s R&B feel this song has. At least I get that vibe here and of course here for that sound. I do like all of tees parts you are listing here. Oooh yess the line about taking her son as your own was a part was the part that really stood out to me. Aww that is ver sweet indeed. :bye2: Really nice song here and omggg my mention. Yess it is smooth! I enjoy this.

155. Keith Urban - We Were: Whoa I’m shook I got a some of these right. :o NHT and I didn’t even know Keith had new music out this year? Or i didn’t take notice of it. Ooh yeah I agree that the “We were” parts he sings in the chorus are good. This song has a nice sound to it and Keith sounds good on it. It’s nice on first listen but could be one of those songs that needs more listens for it to grow on me But i like the parts you mention and how he sounds on this. I get you on the song having a sad sound to it too.

Clues for 154-147:

- This song title includes something that is worn. // Shirt, blouse, jeans, jacket, shoes, sneakers, hat….. something along those lines.

- A song from an Idol winner. // Hmm Carrie Underwood’s Southbound or Drinking Alone, any of those Maddie Poppe songs I guessed last time (Little Things/Made You Miss/Not Losing You), Kelly Clarkson - “Broken & Beautiful”, Laine Hardy’s Flame?

- Two songs that already appeared on Wally's list. // Omggg I should know this, so let’s see…. Dan + Shay - “All To Myself”, Halsey - “Graveyard”, Marshmello - “One Thing Right” (feat. Kane Brown), Ally Brooke - “Lips Don’t Lie” (feat. A Boogie wit da Hoodie), Alessia Cara - “Rooting For You”, Charlie Puth - “Mother” or Miley Cyrus - “Mother's Daughter” seem like the best guesses. I feel like “One Thing Right,” “Rooting for You” or “Mother’s Daughter” would be the best guesses

- A collaboration between two country artists. // Oh goshh I’m so bad at this. :lmao: Don’t know many country collaborations but will guess…. Brantley Gilbert & Lindsay Ell’s What Happens in a Smal Town? Dierks Bentley & Brothers Osborne’s Burning Man?

- The two words in this song's name are very different from each other.  // Kelly Clarkson - “Broken & Beautiful” could fit here, maybe. Miley Cyrus’ “Mother’s Daughter”. Gah I wish I could think of more as I do like this clue.

- A song title featuring both "I" and "You." / Shawn Mendes - “If I Can't Have You”? Chris Lane’s “I Don’t Know About You”? Feel like others fit here too.

- A collaboration between three artists: one I love and two I don't know at all. // Oooo lol this is a cute clue here. :giggle: I wish I knew what to guess here. I can’t think of what fits as stuff I am finding has one artist you love/one you don’t know/one you do know and just ugh not tis combo. Ooh hmmm…. possibly Lil' Peep, iLoveMakonnen and Fall Out Boy’s “I've Been Waiting”?

Idina Menzel & Ariana Grande - A Hand for Mrs Claus: This is a neat idea for a Christmas song. Kudos to them for giving props to Mrs. Claus. :giggle: The upbeat feel of this song is fun, and they both deliver vocally here.

Danny Gokey & David Archuleta - Noche De Paz: Oh gosh, I'm going to have to listen to Danny Gokey? :fear: Danny's vocals still do nothing for me as I'm listening to this now and I'm just waiting for David to finally sing....Yeah, David should've just sung this without Danny. David sounds great here. I think he could've belted with more power at the end, but his choices were respectful and overall a nice rendition of this song from David.

Kacey Musgraves - Ribbons and Bows: Cute and catchy song. It's got a sweet message to it, and that chorus is especially an earworm.

Pentatonix - Do You Hear What I Hear? (Featuring Whitney Houston): Interesting they're using Whitney's vocals here. I wonder how they got permission to do that? :o Whitney sounds amazing, of course. I like they allow her voice to shine and they're pretty much just singing backup here.

Jonas Brothers - Like It's Christmas: Fun clapping arrangement here. They deliver the song well too. It doesn't stand out much on a first listen, but I still didn't mind it.

Liam Payne - All I Want (For Christmas): Yeah, this song was a downer. I do think he sounds great here, and I agree with you about the vocal choices he makes in the end of the second verse. I like happier Christmas songs, though.

Sarah Jeffery & Jadah Marie - Audrey's Christmas Rewind: I know of Descendents, but I haven't seen any of the movies. Based on her look, I'm guessing she's Aurora and Phillip's daughter? Well, if she was the villain of the movie, then she deserves coal for Christmas. :whistling: Anyway, the song is catchy, but it doesn't sound like a Christmas song though. But I see they just used the same melody of the song from the movie it's based on. "Jolly to the Core" was catchy, but it's very campy too. :haha: I think I like "Chillin' Like a Snowman" best out of all three. The groove of that one was cool.

Little Mix - One I've Been Missing: I think this is my favorite of all the Christmas songs you listed here so far. I haven't heard this one before, but I like it after a first listen. They sound great, and I like the arrangement. I especially enjoyed Perrie's vocals on this song. This was very good.

Danny Gokey - Until You: I can appreciate the message behind this song, but Danny's vocals are just so blah to me, even as I'm listening to this now. Sorry. But that's cool you like him!

And neat that Clay and Ruben sang together!

170. Echosmith - Lonely Generation: I never heard of this song before. It's got a cool groove to it as I'm hearing it now. It's something that'll have to grow on me, but it's an interesting message.

169. The Chainsmokers & Bebe Rexha - Call You Mine: NHT. Hmm...I like some parts of this song better than the rest. Bebe's delivery is cool, but some production choices (especially in the chorus) are a bit much. This is something that'll have to grow on me too.

168. Alessia Cara - Out of Love: I heard this for the first time on Wallace's list. I agree she sounds beautiful. Sad song indeed, though.

167. Little Mix - Bounce Back: I heard this on Wallace's list, too. Like I said there, I wouldn't know about Little Mix's new music if it weren't for these yearly countdown lists (even though I do like Little Mix). Anyway, I think they deliver the song well, but it's not one of my favorites from Little Mix.

166. Chord Overstreet - All Nighter: NHT. I don't know what I was expecting, but this was better than I thought it'd be. That chorus is actually pretty good. That's my favorite part of the song. I think this song could've had mainstream success if a bigger name recorded it.

165. Harry Styles - Lights Up: I'm not really a fan of this song. This particular style just isn't my cup of tea, so to speak. The indie pop vibe isn't my favorite, but that's cool this song was able to grow on you.

164. Alessia Cara - October: NHT, but this was nice. I don't know if it's a song I'll remember, but it was an enjoyable little tune as I listened to it now.

163. Ava Max - So Am I: NHT....Hmmm....This sounds very similar to "Sweet But Psycho." Is she trying to replicate that song's success? Anyway, the song is catchy and she delivers it well.

162. Little Mix - Think About Us (featuring Ty Dolla Sign): I'm not really familiar with this one. Hmm...This one was just okay after a first listen. I think I'd like the version without the rapper better. Once again, Perrie's voice is my favorite of the group.

161. JoJo - Sabotage (featuring Chika): I'm glad JoJo is back to releasing music, but I feel bad for not checking out her new songs. So, this is the first time I'm hearing this. I do like the chorus better than the verses. I guess she wants to go for a more mature sound now, but she still sounds great.

160. Caleb Lee Hutchinson - Left of Me: I totally forgot about this guy until I saw this song just now. Hmm...The arrangement is kind of generic. Nothing really too original here. I don't think the song needs to be this long either. This one didn't really impress me much, sorry to say.

159. Alec Benjamin - Jesus In LA: NHT. His vocals are average; it's clear he's limited on what he can do vocally, but I guess he's doing the best he can with this singer-songwriter kind of delivery? This one was just okay to me.

158. Black Eyed Peas - Be Nice (featuring Snoop Dogg): I saw this episode of Songland (or at least parts of it), so I'm somewhat familiar with this song. The delivery is fine, but it's not really making too much of an impression on me. But it's got a good message!

157. Mark Ronson - Nothing Breaks Like a Heart (featuring Miley Cyrus): Did she sing this on SNL? If she did, then I heard this already, but I forgot about it until now. As I'm hearing it here now, it's just okay. It's not something I would seek out to hear again.

156. Ciara - Greatest Love: I haven't heard this one before, but this is good! She sounds great here, and the vibe is cool.

155. Keith Urban - We Were: I don't listen to country radio anymore, so I miss out on a lot of new country songs these days. So, I'm not too familiar with this song, but I do like this song and Keith Urban. I like his delivery here, as well as what the lyrics are saying. If I heard this more, then it could've been one of my favorites of the year, too.

Thank you, Steven! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! <3

Oh no, I'm sad to hear that. :( I always enjoy your lists. <3

Same to you!

Aww...Well, maybe I can put something together last minute? I just haven't kept up with a lot of new music this year.

Hmmm. Although explanations always helps. :teehee:

Okay but it still seems impossible. :haha: Intriguing.

:haha:

I’m scared. :shiver: And lmao ooh snap, I didn't realize a new set was posted. Funny as I wsa replying and didn't see anything and now something is there. :haha:

I'm not going to explain here, but you knowwww.

Believe in the power of Santa!!! :santa: :bye2:

I know. His name is Chord. omgggg. I don't know what to say right now. :lmao: We'll talk about it later. :giggle:

:" border="0" alt="blushing.gif" />

162. Little Mix - Think About Us (featuring Ty Dolla Sign): Ooh I know of this song but not too well. Wow these comments of this being a fan favorite…. didn’t know that. Lol your comments on them adding a rapper on the single version but not the album version. :ha ha: This is something I do wish I had heard more. I’m liking it listening to it now but am sure this could grow on me with more listens. I like how you describe the message behind the song and the structure of the song with the slower parts and fast parts. Lol whatcha trying to say about needing to be slower for the guys to think about them? :gigg le: No particular parts standout to me but i do like the song as a whole.

:lm ao: So obviously NHT.

:lm ao: omgg Snop dancing in this? I can’t take him seriously with his dancing. : dead: But I like Snoop’s part and the song as a whole. :ye s:

157. Mark Ronson - Nothing Breaks Like a Heart (featuring Miley Cyrus): Lol well I am glad one of the many Miley songs I guessed were right. :lm ao: OOOH LOL I totally get you on the 2nd sentence an I feel like I say this happens to me wit certain songs out there. :ha ha: This isn’t really one of those for me, ut kinda is at the same time? Ooh i am curious which other song this reminds you of. : o But yea I agree this song does have a dark and kinda scary feel to it.

: bye2: But yeah I do love thus couple here. :tee hee: This is a really sweet song and ah I love the old school 90s R&B feel this song has. At least I get that vibe here and of course here for that sound. I do like all of tees parts you are listing here. Oooh yess the line about taking her son as your own was a part was the part that really stood out to me. Aww that is ver sweet indeed. :b ye2: Really nice song here and omggg my mention. Yess it is smooth! I enjoy this.

155. Keith Urban - We Were: Whoa I’m shook I got a some of these right. : o NHT and I didn’t even know Keith had new music out this year?

- Ah, I see. It seemed like it, or at least that people here really loved it last year. Yeah, they do that. That's fine. I'm saying them singing it slower adds emphasis so the message is clear.

- Oh. :lmao: Aww. lol you need to adjust to it? But okay. I thought you might like.

- Yeah. :( I'm glad you at least like this. Oh, thank you.

- lol. Oh, well he is... 25. So there you go. Yay, you like! :bobo:

- Yesss. Ugh that annoyed me so much. I thought they were going to be treated as actual singles. :ermm: Not here for this. They need to be performed, on radio, and all the things. Yes Bruno! I'd love to hear it. It is great, fun, and important. I want to know what this means. Yay though!

- Oh yayyyy. Ah it does, but oh, I thought it did with this one. No idea. Glad you like this too, as I expected.

- Oh, I thought it'd make you think of Ciara and this song. :teehee: Awww... omg. :" border="0" alt="blushing.gif" /> It is sweet and I love the feel of it too. Ah yes, I love that part. Yay!

- Technically it wasn't right since you guessed it for the clue about someone from the first Christmas set, which was JoJo. The clue for this song was about the two words starting with the same letter. Oh, well I heard this one a lot. Okay, that's fine, but at least you like it.

Some really good guesses here. :o

Idina Menzel & Ariana Grande - A Hand for Mrs Claus: This is a neat idea for a Christmas song. Kudos to them for giving props to Mrs. Claus. :gig gle: The upbeat feel of this song is fun, and they both deliver vocally here.

Danny Gokey & David Archuleta - Noche De Paz: Oh gosh, I'm going to have to listen to Danny Gokey? :fea r: Danny's vocals still do nothing for me as I'm listening to this now and I'm just waiting for David to finally sing....Yeah, David should've just sung this without Danny.

: o Whitney sounds amazing, of course.

:l ol:

Sarah Jeffery & Jadah Marie - Audrey's Christmas Rewind: I know of Descendents, but I haven't seen any of the movies. Based on her look, I'm guessing she's Aurora and Phillip's daughter? Well, if she was the villain of the movie, then she deserves coal for Christmas. :whist ling: Anyway, the song is catchy, but it doesn't sound like a Christmas song though. But I see they just used the same melody of the song from the movie it's based on. "Jolly to the Core" was catchy, but it's very campy too. :ha ha: I think I like "Chillin' Like a Snowman" best out of all three.

:y es:

Danny Gokey - Until You: I can appreciate the message behind this song, but Danny's vocals are just so blah to me, even as I'm listening to this now. Sorry. : ph34r: But that's cool you like him!

: ph34r: Hmm...The arrangement is kind of generic.

Same to you!

Aww...Well, maybe I can put something together last minute? I just haven't kept up with a lot of new music this year.

- I agree!

- Oh, well you don't have to. :bye2: That's too bad, but at least you enjoy David's voice.

- Yay!

- It is. I'm not sure, but it's not the only song to do that this year. :o I completely agree.

- Glad you like it, at least.

- "Yeah, this song was a downer." :lmao: I do really enjoy it, although I guess it doesn't exactly get you in the spirit.

- You should know of them considering all the work I put in in the rankdown. :giggle: omg yes she is their daughter! I love how you guessed that. :haha: She does deserve coal. :giggle: Aww, but it has Christmasy lyrics. Yay you listening to the others! Your favorite is fine with me since it's the melody of possibly my favorite song of the series.:bobo:

- Ooh that's cool! I'm glad you liked it so much.

- Aww I'm sad and surprised you feel that way. I think he has a great voice. But at least you like the meaning of the song.

:w00t:

- Glad you like it on first listen!

- That's understandable.

- Aww yes.

- Ah, I wish Little Mix could break into the U.S., so you'd hear about them more. I do my best to keep up with them.

- Ooh, love that you like this more than you expected! Aww. :bye2:

- I get that and it's not really my favorite either.

- Makes sense. Glad you like it!

- I didn't think of that, but they do have a similiar vibe. I like her style. :bobo:

- Aww okay. I prefer it without the rapper as well.

- Same.

- Oh. :( I thought you'd like this one more.

- Oooh. That's too bad.

- Oh yay, cool you watched that episode. It does have a great message.

- I don't watch SNL, so I wouldn't know, but possibly. Aww okay.

- Yay, glad you like this.

- You don't? :( Oh. But yay you liking this at least!

Aww it's up to you. I can't imagine, seeing as I always have so many songs. :haha:

Hmmm okayy.

OK. :o

Not his recording artist name though. Say whatever is on your mind! :teehee: You promise? :bye2:

- Ahh ok I see. I didn’t keep track or see but I believe you. Mhmmm. OK. :teehee: I was just teasing. :P

- Yeah it was slower than what I was expecting. I do like it but think it could grow even more on me.

- Awww yeah and you’re welcome. Oh yeah I know but it seems the last two years songs have been shorter than they usualy are.

- Oooh thanks. Wow he’s older than I expected. It was cool.

- Yeah I thought so too. Awww your comments here. I get it though. I wonder how he would sound on it. LOL I can’t even explain but didn’t he used to scare you and stuff? Even though he wasn’t scary at all? I felt like I would tease you about your thoughts on him. :haha:

- I totally understand how you feel like that with this song. Oooh snap, yayy.

- Well it does, but I also think of the other song because of the similar title. Omggg why you so blushy? :bleh: Mhmmm it is and it is a good part.

- Ooooh? :lmao: I thought JoJo was the one named artist clue and I got that one wrong. :lmao: But ah I see that one was about Ciara. LMAO I still remain being a hot mess… and ugh I should have put that guess for that clue but I think i forgot about it while working on new clues. LOL oos. :lmao: Ahh that’s cool. Yess I’m happy about that.

omgggg lol wow really? I am beyond shocked there. :haha:

I know. Nothing is on my mind. Of course, it just may be awhile.

- I know, and am saying this as well that songs seem so short lately.

- Blah to that. :( He would sound fantastic. omg. :lmao: I don't even know, but I wish I could remember better.

- I see. Because I am.

- Ooooh.... oh wow, so you had them all for different clues. I wonder if you could attribute the Ciara song to a different one then. :haha: Ah my. It's okay.

o:)

154. Alessia Cara - Rooting for You

VFIw3fyaw-E

I wonder how much Tyra Banks paid Alessia to turn this into a song. :giggle: I love it. I guess this person really displeased Alessia and well... the title of the song says it all. It has a cool kind of vibe that I can't explain. But I really love her vocal on this part: "I'm tirrreddd of sending hugs and kisses" But this lyric... "Now I see you're havin' so much fun with everyone you had so much fun makin' fun of" Ah wow. That is interesting. I guess he changed. I love this in the bridge: "I'm not even brokenhearted, I'm just a little disappointed"

153. Marshmello & Kane Brown - One Thing Right

29a6o5vRKVM

Kane doing a collaboration with Marshmello is so unexpected, but I'm really glad it happened, as this got Kane a crossover Top 40 hit and I actually heard him on pop radio. :giggle: It's an interesting song about a guy who gets into all kinds of trouble, does a lot of bad things, and the only thing he got right is the woman he's with. The verse where he sings "Known to be crazy, known to be wild, mama had to suffer a little devilish child" kind of fast is cool. Hmm now I'm not sure if the part that I love most is the pre-chorus or chorus. Songs can be weird. "I've been at the wrong place at the wrong time, chasin' all the wrong things most of my life, been every kinda lost that you can't find, but I got one thing right. Been the kind of guy girl's mamas don't like, runnin' with the wrong crowd on the wrong nights ,'cause I've been wrong about a million times, but I got one thing right, you" Well that was long.

152. Luke Bryan - Knockin' Boots

Ioz93bSi2uc

I haven't been as crazy about some of Luke's recent singles, but this is my favorite one from the last year, at least. I really like the sound of this, although wow, I was shook upon learning something about the phrase "knockin' boots." I had no idea it was an old western term for engaging in adult behavior. What. Anyway, he wastes no time starting off the song with his singing right away and telling us everything that needs to happen. It has a really cool groove that I can't quite explain, but really like. It picks up more in the chorus, which I also really like and is probably my favorite: "Yeah, birds need bees and ice needs whiskey. Boys like me need girls like you to kiss me" :bobo: It has such a sing-a-long feel to it, although I have make some adjustments to the second lyric. :giggle: "Sweet tea needs that sugar stirrin'" :bobo: Oh and then I really like this part too: "Shades need drawin', hearts need fallin', boots need knockin'... knockin' boots" I feel like I can't explain anything in this song well, but oh well. You can all hear it for yourself. The music is really fun and groovy too, and I also like his "ohhh" parts.

151. Jana Kramer - Beautiful Lies

S1ju2RgTEiw

I really like this song from Jana, although it's sad. She doesn't want to accept the bad in this relationship and where things went wrong. She just wants him to tell her beautiful lies. :bye2: I love that oxymoron. Lie and make her think it's all beautiful. :broken: The first lyric already stands out to me. "Surrounded by pieces of vows that were broken" That's kind of clever. But the chorus is the best. I especially love these parts "Take me back to the night I could feel" and "I'm not ready for the truth to see the light, Make it up, make it pretty, I don't mind, Tell me beautiful lies" :bye2: You can feel and see her emotion in the video. I imagine this song has personal meaning behind it, although I believe she is now in a good spot with her marriage and family, so yay.

150. Alan Walker, Sabrina Carpenter, & Farruko - On My Way

dhYOPzcsbGM

I love Sabrina, but am not familiar with the other two artists on this song. Although, I think I remember Alan Walker appearing on someone else's list before (Tom's?), as the name made me think he was a country singer, yet he's a DJ. :haha: Random memory. Anyway, Sabrina sings on this song and sounds so pretty. I love the way she sings that opening verse.

149. Maddie Poppe - Made You Miss

N010V5TLKkQ

I wasn't a huge Maddie fan on Idol, but I grew to like her a lot more during the tour and even more after listening to her album. I do like quite a few songs on there. This one is pretty clever to me with the title and then how she sings that lyric in the actual song. It's not like she made him miss.... but she made him miss HER. (!) I see what you did there. She is telling this guy who wants her back just how it is. "Playin' for the takin', but you gave in when you aimed for my hearrttttt" Yesss I love the way it builds up into the chorus. So good. And then "Made you miss me, now you wanna kiss me. Hope you're listening, can't delete your historyyyy, but I made you miss me" :bobo: I can't describe the feel of this song, but it's cool and kind of jammy in a way I can't explain. I especially love the way she sings the word "historyyy" and then that "but I made you miss me" line in a more pronounced way. She sings the bridge pretty fast and it's cool, but I really like the way she sings the last part that goes "Do you wanna beeeeeee" I also love how she sings "I made you miss me" over and over at the end. The feel of this is just so good.

148. Brantley Gilbert & Lindsay Ell - What Happens in a Small Town

u6BTbjFsW-w

I was somewhat familiar with both Brantley Gilbert and Lindsay Ell before this song, more so Brantley as I know a couple of his songs. This one has a similiar story to quite a few songs I've heard recently, but basically it's about how it's hard to move on from a relationship when the place you live has so many memories of it. The song takes very little time to bloom into the chorus, but I really like it a lot, especially the contrast of their voices. I especially love the second to last line that goes, "Everybody knows why I'm here, and you ain't around" The verses are seriously so short and build up so fast lol, but I love the end of Lindsay's verse that says "But this is where I belong, this is my home too." Both sides of the relationship on display in this song is a nice touch as well. They are both going through the same thing. I really love the part in the bridge that goes "Yeah, and every time I see that little white Jeep, Yeah, that hand-me-down Ford pullin' down your street" :omg: Sounds so good, as do Lindsay's ad-libs at the end of the song. This has such a great swell in it and I love listening to it.

147. Chris Lane - I Don't Know About You

8aUzwbp_NfI

*song starts around 0:33*

I'm here making up for the lack of country on my previous sets. :bobo: Of course this list will have a lot of it. I thought this song was cute the first time I heard it on the radio, and I have since heard it played countless times. I really enjoy it every single time. The song is basically about a guy wanting to get to know a girl he meets in a bar, so it isn't anything that deep, but... it does have a sweet melody and comes off that way too. I really love the feel of the chorus. It just has this really good warm feel about it that I love. "What's your name, what's your sign, what's your birthday? What's your wrist tattoo bible verse say? Tell me this, do you kiss on the first date? Don't hold anything back" I really love the whole chorus, and then that last line that goes "Tell me everything 'til there's nothing I don't know about you" I really love the way he sings on the bridge too, but especially the line that says "I know you got my heart beatin' in this bar"

162. Little Mix - Think About Us (featuring Ty Dolla Sign): I liked Little Mix's last album even if I prefer their more pop sound and this is one of the strongest songs from it!

161. JoJo - Sabotage (featuring Chika): I love that JoJo's back but this song is just ok for me.

160. Caleb Lee Hutchinson - Left of Me: I liked Caleb ok from what I saw of American Idol 16, but haven't kept up with anyone except kind of Maddie. But this pretty good, looks like he's finding his sound.

159. Alec Benjamin - Jesus In LA: His voice grates on my nerves.

158. Black Eyed Peas - Be Nice (featuring Snoop Dogg): I never really watched Songland. Not my style of music but pretty decent for what it is I guess.

157. Mark Ronson - Nothing Breaks Like a Heart (featuring Miley Cyrus):

156. Ciara - Greatest Love: I'm liking this on first listen! Like that Ciara is back releasing music. It's sweet like you said and also sensual. And yes Wally would. :haha:

155. Keith Urban - We Were: This is ok/decent from Keith, though not up to par with some of the songs from his latest album. I haven't kept up with his music this year so looking forward to more of his songs on this list.

154. Alessia Cara - Rooting for You: I heard this on Wallace's list. And yes, I remember that Tyra moment, too. :giggle: I agree about the cool vibe of the song. It's catchy, but laid back at the same time. I'm enjoying this on a second listen. :music:

153. Marshmello & Kane Brown - One Thing Right: Yes, I agree this was an unexpected collaboration. I don't know much about this Marshmello person, but I wouldn't expect a collaboration with a country artist. Anyway, I do kind of like this song, especially the part that you quoted that you said was long. It's a cool, chill song. Kudos to him on the Top 40 hit.

152. Luke Bryan - Knockin' Boots: "I haven't been as crazy about some of Luke's recent singles." Same. :bye2: I used to really like Luke's music, but his latest two albums haven't impressed me. This is another letdown for me, but I agree with you that the song has a singalong feel to it (especially in the chorus). I can see fans singing this song back to him at concerts. Hopefully I'll like Luke's 2020 music better.

151. Jana Kramer - Beautiful Lies: That's cool we both happened to post Jana songs today. Anyway, I'm not too familiar with this song. I think I did hear this one already, but I like it more after listening to it again while reading your write-up of it. It's a sad song, but she sounds pretty here. That's good she's in a better spot now in her life!

150. Alan Walker, Sabrina Carpenter, & Farruko - On My Way: NHT. This has an interesting sound to it, especially the instrumentation. Ooh, the guy is singing in Spanish here! Yeah, what he's saying is that he's sorry, he's tired of fighting, he knows his mistakes but he's only human, but he's ready to leave, too. Overall, this was pretty good.

149. Maddie Poppe - Made You Miss: I wasn't a Maddie fan on Idol either, but I haven't grown to like her since I haven't followed her after her time on the show ended. So this is one I haven't heard before, but I ended up liking this better than I expected to. I hear what you mean about it being kind of jammy in a cool way. This was pretty good.

148. Brantley Gilbert & Lindsay Ell - What Happens in a Small Town: I think I have heard this song before, but I'll have to listen to it again to remember how it goes. As I'm hearing it now, I think it's pretty good. I don't typically care for Brantley's music, but I like this song. The contributions from both Brantley and Lindsay work well here. I also like the swell of the music, which you mention in your write-up. Good song!

147. Chris Lane - I Don't Know About You: I like Chris Lane's song "Fix," but I haven't kept up with his other songs. So this is another one I'm hearing for the first time (unless I already heard it but forgot). This is pretty good. It's got a catchy groove to it, and he delivers the lyrics well (especially in the bridge). I think I like the Brantley and Lindsay song better and would rank it highest of these set of songs, but I found this one to be enjoyable too.

It's okay.

o:)

Awww nooo, there’s gotta be something there. :o OK. And lol I was just being overdramatic at the end there.

- Oooh ok and yeah I would agree with you on this.

- :( Ooooh lol I can’t disagree but I mean I want to hear him on it now that you brought it up. Ooh awww I see and understand. I wish I could remember better too.

- OK! :teehee:

- Lmao yeah I guess I did. Gosh this shows you how much of a hot mess I am with clues. :lmao: Oooh what do you mean by this? :o Aww ok!

:giggle:

154. Alessia Cara - Rooting for You: Ooh wow look at us both posting all of these Alessia songs so early on our lists. :haha: Lol your Tyra comment but yess you know the story behind that haha. You know my thoughts on this but yeah I like this and the vibe/feel of it. The message is kinda sad but I like the feel of it and that beat. And yess you mention war I like with the music and the chorus. Oh I didn’t really notice that lyric you pointed out about having fun/making fun of line but ahh wow. Ahh I like all of these parts you are listing and your thoughts pretty much echo all of mine.

153. Marshmello & Kane Brown - One Thing Right: Ooh yayy another song I had on my list too. :giggle: Yeah this was an unexpected collabo for sure ut yeah it was cool hearing one of your country boys on pop radio. :giggle: Oooh you described this song really well. Oooh lol songs can be weird. I love that comment from you. I ALREADY FORGOT what i said my favorite part was but I am sure it’s the chorus, as it usually is. I do really like that part a lot. I like all of these parts you listed and this was a song that needed some time to grow on me but I am glad it did.

152. Luke Bryan - Knockin' Boots: Awww at not being so crazy about Luke’s more recent singles. That’s a shame when that happens. :( OMGGG YOUR reaction to finding out what “knockin’ boots” meant. :dead: I LOVE IT. I cant say I know or remember the exact meaning of it but I knew it was something naughty and adult-like but forgot exactly what it was. But I think i remembered correctly, haha. :haha: Omgg wow this song is kinda naughty…. oooo Luke. Overall this is alright but not doing too much for me on this first listen. I can get you saying the song as a fun sing a-long feel to it. Ooh wait, I feel like I do recognize the last bit of the chorus on this. Ooh I see you mentioned it, yayy. That part is kinda fun.

151. Jana Kramer - Beautiful Lies: NHT but from the title, I would expect it to be a sad song and listening to it, it definitely is. :( Aww this song is really sad and emotional. :( Jana sounds beautiful vocally and the emotion she pours is so good. I really like the chorus and all of these parts you are mentioning. Aww but noooo at those lies. Not nice. :bye2: Ahh yeah I know she and her husband have had many ups and downs in their relationship so I would take it this song is about that and the downs. :( Very sad but yeah I hope they are good now, which I also believe they are.

150. Alan Walker, Sabrina Carpenter, & Farruko - On My Way: OOOOH so this is the song to that clue I could NOT think of anything for it. :lmao: Okay obviously this works as Sabrina is the one you love. And oh i learned of Alan Walker through Tom’s list and the Music Rankdown although still not that familiar with him. Ooh yes you mentioned Alan being on Tom’s list and lol so true on the country singer comment. Sabrina does sound pretty on this song and like her on this song. I like the part you mentioned as your favorite. The song has a cool funky feel to it especially the breakdown section of it. Farruko’s part is cool but oooo he’s singing in a different language. Is it Spanish? Wow I was not expecting that. Ooh wow that bridge is so trippy sounding lmao. Cool song and I enjoyed it.

149. Maddie Poppe - Made You Miss: OMGG Finally my Maddie guesses are right. Not sure if I heard this song before or not but getting to hear it now so yayy. :teehee: Oooh interesting story behind the song which I would not have gotten from the title of it. :o I do like the pre-chours and the chorus part of the song you mentioned. Oh wow this song has more of an upbeat fun feel to it which I wasn’t expecting. I like tis fun and slight sassy vibe from her. And yeah I like this much more than I was expecting. :haha: This is fun. Well done Maddie.

148. Brantley Gilbert & Lindsay Ell - What Happens in a Small Town: OMGG #bless that I actually got this right! I’m so proud! :w00t: I heard of both of these artists but couldn’t tell you a song by either of tem. I’m more familiar with Lindsay though, and prefer her. Aww nice explanation of the song. But whoa yeah this song scared me once it got to the chorus. It was sooo soft and quiet and then really boom’d on the chorus. :lmao: And yeah the build-up was really fast too. The parts you mentioned are nice here. :haha: And hmm as I expected, I don’t care for Brantley too much here but I like Linsday on this Her voice is so pretty. :o It is a nice song/duet with these two.

147. Chris Lane - I Don't Know About You: :dead: @ your first sentence. But yes i noticed that you are here. Oooh I think/hope I predicted this too? :o Well I am glad this guess was right and not my other one. Hmmm I can’t recall if I heard this song or not. I want to say I have but never really paid attention to it? I see that it was a big hit so that’s goo for himm. This song has a nice calm soft relaxing feel to it. Overall this song is alright for me but when it got to the chorus i was liking the sound of it. It’s all really nice and sweet, so I can total get you liking all of this. :teehee: OMGGGG YOUR comments on the video and the awkwardness of it…. omgg what is this even about? :dead: Lmao wow. Uhh she better not be toooo young or else, #yikes. That ending is sooo messy. :dead:

Clues for 146-139:

- A song from an artist who shares a first name with someone in the above set. // I would assume not someone tat was actually in this set. :giggle: Chris seems like the best thing to go off of as that is such a common name. There’s Chris Young’s “Hangin’ On,” “Drowning” or “Raised on Country”? Chris Janson’s “Good Vibes” or “Done”? Chris Stapleton’s “Millionaire”? I hope it’s Chris because I’m not sure what to guess with the other names.

- This song title contains only one word. // Gosh not even sure what to guess. Camila Cabello’s “Shameless” or “Liar”? Lee Brice “Rumor”? Maren Morris’ “Girl”?

- Another song from the first set of Wally's list. / Yayy another clue regarding my list! :w00t: My best guesses… Dan + Shay - “All To Myself”, Camila Cabello - “Shameless”, Halsey - “Graveyard”, Mariah Carey - “A No No”or Miley Cyrus - “Slide Away”. I would mainly guess the Camila, Mariah or Halsey songs?

- This song title has a gender in it. // BTS & Halsey’s Boy with Luv? Ariana Grande’s boyfriend or break up with your girlfriend, i’m bored, Dustin Lynch’s Good Girl? Maren Morris’ “Girl”?

- A collaboration between two artists whose names start with letters that are back to back in the alphabet. // Awww this is a really cute clue. Too bad I don’t know what to guess. :dead: Gah so far I can only think of Lizzo/Missy Elliott’s Tempo or Sam Feldt/RANI’s Post Malone but doubt those will be here. Ugh I am stumped.

- This song is requesting you not to do something. // uhhh something like ~please don’t go or leave? Mabel’s “Don’t Call Me Up”? Dua Lipa’s “Don’t Start Now”, Ariana/Miley/Lana “Don’t Call Me Angel”?

- A song that is wishing for something. // Something with wishing or wanting in its title? Gah not sure what to guess here.

- This song name has the word "love" in it. // Oooh i like this clue as there are lots of songs ith the word love in it but i’m afraid I’m gonna get this wrong. Let’s see….. Lewis Capaldi’s “Someone You Loved”? Eli Young Band “Love Ain’t,” Brett Elderdge “Love Someone,” Cole Swindell “ Love You Too Late”, The Chainsmokers/5 Serconds of Summer “Who Do You Love,” Carrie Underwood’s “Love Wins” MAX’s “Love me Less,” Selena Gomez’s “Lose you To Love Me”

I like this song a lot but Spotify told me it was a 2018 song so I didn't include it but Google says 2019 so maybe Spotify lied to to me. Anyways its a good song.

154. Alessia Cara - Rooting for You: Unfortunately I couldn't get into this song of hers either, stays on the same level the whole time.

153. Marshmello & Kane Brown - One Thing Right: Yeah I don't care for this collaboration at all. Like with Sam Hunt, I don;t care that he tries to combine country with other genres. Wish he'd just stick to country, but hopefully For My Daughter shows up later.

152. Luke Bryan - Knockin' Boots: Yeah I don't care for Luke's recent singles either, this included. Reminds me of the Shake it For Me era. :|

151. Jana Kramer - Beautiful Lies: Jana Kramer is an artist I've always known about but I haven't really loved a song of hers yet. As a result I haven't been following her and didn't know she released music this year. But this is pretty good!

150. Alan Walker, Sabrina Carpenter, & Farruko - On My Way: Yesss I did have several Alan songs on my list last year. :haha: Probably won't have the energy to do a list this year but we'll see. Anyway this isn't my favorite song of Alan's, but Sabrina sounds great.

149. Maddie Poppe - Made You Miss: I do like this song, although it's a bit poppier than what I think she wanted to make. I prefer her more acoustic/folkier side, but I wish this song had gotten more attention though because I want to see an AI alum succeed in this day and age.

148. Brantley Gilbert & Lindsay Ell - What Happens in a Small Town: I haven't been listening to as much country this year so I don't know this song, but I too know of both of them.

147. Chris Lane - I Don't Know About You: I appreciate a lot of country being on this list. :P I only know a song or two of his but this is good, I love the chorus as well.
