Psych

Well I was always knowing which show I was going to save but which show I was going to cut was a struggle. I ultimately decided on cutting Psych, as it’s a show that I never heard of (of course) and looking at its cast name, there aren’t any names that stands out to me that I know or remember.

Psych is an American detective comedy-drama TV show that was created by Steve Franks and was broadcasted on USA Network. The show had a very successful run airing from July 7, 2006 through March 26, 2014 lasting 8 seasons and 120 episodes. The show stars James Roday, Dulé Hill, Timothy Omundson, Maggie Lawson, Kristen Nelson and Corbin Bernsen - none of which I know. OK so I THINK I have heard of this. But yeah never watched it.

James Roday portrays Shawn Spencer, as a young crime consultant for the Santa Barbara Police Department, he has some impressive observational skills that helps him be able and work with people on solving cases with psychic abilities. So I am sure this leads to Shawn Spencer to many adventures and crazy conflicts that he gets into and must solve.

There is even a Psych 2: Lassie Come Home movie come out in 2020 following the 2017 Psych: The Movie film. So fans can check that out later this year. For now, let’s see a trailer.

The IT crowd

TBA

The IT Crowd is a British sitcom originally broadcast by Channel 4, written by Graham Linehan, produced by Ash Atalla and starring Chris O'Dowd, Richard Ayoade, Katherine Parkinson, and Matt Berry. I’ve seen memes and gifs of it before so I’m not that unfamiliar with the show. This isn’t 100 words but I will come back to this later. And I’m sure this show is ok but I don’t know it so out it goes.

Joe Millionaire

TBA :haha:

It’s early and I’m barely waking up but I had to rush to save on My My Block which is a critically acclaimed Netflix show that features Latins and African—Americans so you know I had to save it. I love the show as well so that made it easy too. So back to the show being cut; Joe Millionaire premiers on Fox. I know that much. I’m not using Wikipedia for this so forgive me. The show premiered in 2003/2004 and the finale brought in 40 million viewers I want to say. The premise was simple; You get a regular joe pretend he is a millionaire and find out which girls are there for love or money. I don’t remember the finale or what happened tbh. He should have done porn after the show. He should have made bank.

AGENT CARTER

photo be added when Steven reminds me

Agent Carter is an ABC series centred around Peggy Carter from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I don’t know why her character necessitated a full series, but c’est le vie. It has eighteen episodes spread across its two seasons, and both seasons aired in the interim of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. taking a break. In the first season, Agent Carter assists Howard Stark after he’s accused of treason. The second season finds her in Los Angeles preventing an atomic age. It was well received critically and contributed to the MCU being so successful, but I’ve never seen it and didn’t really have a desire to, so out it goes now.

SAVE: American Dad

Case Closed

TBA

I don’t even know if I’m writing about the right show but here we go I’m on a Lyft and only have my phone as my guide. :giggle: I could have sworn Case Closed was going to be some drama, mystery or thriller show. It’s an anime? Please someone correct me if I am writing about the wrong show. So Case Closed, also known as Detective Conan is a Japanese detective manga series written and illustrated by Gosho Aoyama. It has been serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shōnen Sunday since January 19, 1994, and has been collected into 97 tankōbon volumes as of December 18, 2019. Due to legal problems with the name Detective Conan, the English language releases from Funimation and Viz were renamed to Case Closed. The story follows the high school detective Shinichi Kudo (renamed as Jimmy Kudo in the English translation) who was transformed into a child while investigating a mysterious organization and solves a multitude of cases while impersonating his childhood best friend's father and other characters. I feel like i am doing a write-up about a show that is completely not this one. :dead: I’m so lost.

Godless

IPB Image

So this is not a show that I am familiar with and no one saved so I guess no one can get mad about this cut. Godless is an American Western drama web television miniseries created by Scott Frank for Netflix. The seven-episode series began production in Santa Fe, New Mexico in September 2016, and was released on Netflix globally on November 22, 2017. The series received positive reviews, and was named one of the year's 10 best by The Washington Post and Vanity Fair. So this show got a lot of good reviews clearly so good for it I guess. But since it only lasted 7 episodes I think it's a fair cut at this point. The cast is pretty decent I do like Jeff Daniels but oh well out it goes from this rankdown.

Godless I have mixed feelings about. I think it was a good show, but it was kind of advertised as a feminist western and the show ended up being about the relationship between the two male leads. It was an interesting show, but I think a female-led western would've been a lot more interesting (aka every episode with the wonderful Merritt Wever).

Depending on when Sola posts noms, this cycle could finish before IDF’s scheduled reboot tomorrow. But Sola’s going through a difficult time right now, so I don’t want to rush him (he still has plenty of time, too).

Cycle 2 won’t start until Wednesday due to the reboot. In the meantime, I’ll let you all know the plan for the second cycle now since posts made during the reboot won’t be saved. You all will be divided into groups of three. There will be five nomination rounds and the other rankers you team up with will nominate together. You must agree on all 24 nominations that the other twelve rankers will cut and save from. And it’s up to you to pick your own groups. So, do you team up with someone with the same opinions to make nominations easier, or do you team up with rankers with differing opinions to prevent them from nominating some of your favorite shows? It’s all up to you.

Pick your teammates and come up with a team name by Wednesday.

If you have any questions, then let me know. :sorcerer:
