Naruto Shippuden

I am sorry to the Anime fans out there but I don't care about Anime in the slightest bit so it just makes sense for me to cut this show. Let me try to find out what this show is about. So Naruto Uzumaki, is a loud, annoying, child who constantly searches for approval and recognition, as well as to become Hokage, who is acknowledged as the leader and strongest of all ninja in the village. So it sounds like he is a kid ninja that's cool I guess. Google said that it lasted 10 years which is a nice run, the first episode air date was on February 15, 2007 and the final air date was March 23, 2017. IT must have been pretty popular to last for a decade so props to it on that achievement. But like I said I don't know anything about Anime and I don't really care to know anything about Anime so out it goes from this rankdown.

The IT crowd

TBA

The IT Crowd is a British sitcom originally broadcast by Channel 4, written by Graham Linehan, produced by Ash Atalla and starring Chris O'Dowd, Richard Ayoade, Katherine Parkinson, and Matt Berry. I’ve seen memes and gifs of it before so I’m not that unfamiliar with the show. This isn’t 100 words but I will come back to this later. And I’m sure this show is ok but I don’t know it so out it goes.

Joe Millionaire

TBA :haha:

It’s early and I’m barely waking up but I had to rush to save on My My Block which is a critically acclaimed Netflix show that features Latins and African—Americans so you know I had to save it. I love the show as well so that made it easy too. So back to the show being cut; Joe Millionaire premiers on Fox. I know that much. I’m not using Wikipedia for this so forgive me. The show premiered in 2003/2004 and the finale brought in 40 million viewers I want to say. The premise was simple; You get a regular joe pretend he is a millionaire and find out which girls are there for love or money. I don’t remember the finale or what happened tbh. He should have done porn after the show. He should have made bank.

Honestly no idea what this show is. It aired on ABC i guess and it is a soap opera. The soap opera is about a suburb called Rosemont. It's your typical soap opera so there's some drama, love story, divorce, death... Its best known due to Susan Lucci. Her role in the show got her the title of the daytime leading lady. She was also nominated 21 times at the Daytime Emmy Awards for her portrayal, but she only won once. Oh wow it aired for 41 years but I think most soap operas air that long or even longer. It ended on 2011 and got saved by The Online Network. Slay i guess. Honestly I have no opinion about this show and I am just trying to reach the 100 word count. If anyone likes this show I am sorry but I feel like everyone is doing a Wally by cutting shows they have never heard nor seen. Also it's not my type of show so bye.

AGENT CARTER

photo be added when Steven reminds me

Agent Carter is an ABC series centred around Peggy Carter from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I don’t know why her character necessitated a full series, but c’est le vie. It has eighteen episodes spread across its two seasons, and both seasons aired in the interim of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. taking a break. In the first season, Agent Carter assists Howard Stark after he’s accused of treason. The second season finds her in Los Angeles preventing an atomic age. It was well received critically and contributed to the MCU being so successful, but I’ve never seen it and didn’t really have a desire to, so out it goes now.

SAVE: American Dad

Case Closed

TBA

I don’t even know if I’m writing about the right show but here we go I’m on a Lyft and only have my phone as my guide. :giggle: I could have sworn Case Closed was going to be some drama, mystery or thriller show. It’s an anime? Please someone correct me if I am writing about the wrong show. So Case Closed, also known as Detective Conan is a Japanese detective manga series written and illustrated by Gosho Aoyama. It has been serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shōnen Sunday since January 19, 1994, and has been collected into 97 tankōbon volumes as of December 18, 2019. Due to legal problems with the name Detective Conan, the English language releases from Funimation and Viz were renamed to Case Closed. The story follows the high school detective Shinichi Kudo (renamed as Jimmy Kudo in the English translation) who was transformed into a child while investigating a mysterious organization and solves a multitude of cases while impersonating his childhood best friend's father and other characters. I feel like i am doing a write-up about a show that is completely not this one. :dead: I’m so lost.

Lilo & Stitch: The Series

There was a couple shows on the list that I didn't mind seeing go but they got saved so I am cutting this show as I have no attachment to it. Sorry to any of it's fans. I am familiar with the movie but not the tv series. Lilo & Stitch: The Series is an animated television sequel spin-off series of the feature film Lilo & Stitch, and the follow-up to Stitch! The Movie. It is the first television series in the Lilo & Stitch franchise. Continuing where Stitch! The Movie left off, Lilo and Stitch are given the task of collecting the rest of Jumba's missing experiments, changing them from bad to good and finding the one place where they truly belong. Meanwhile, the former Captain Gantu and his reluctant partner Experiment 625 try to capture the experiments for the imprisoned Dr. Hämsterviel.

So that's the basic premise of the tv show and movie really. Like I said never watched the tv show and I am just meh about the movie itself so I am fine making this cut at this point.

Saving Under the Dome.

Nikita

Goodbye to another CW show. This one was relatively enjoyable. It suffered from characters being a little too straightforward though. I do prefer some ambiguity in characters. It makes things more interesting. The plot is exceptionally convoluted. There is a spy agency. They are bad. They pretend they aren't. (hello Alias) Someone escapes them and then puts a spy in of their own. #surprisebitch

There's the top bad guy who is really manipulative. There's the slightly lower bad guy (played by the amazing Melinda Clarke...hello the OC). There's the pretty boy from A Walk to Remember.

It's some brainless fun if you are interested. You could just watch Alias instead.

DEATH NOTE

I have areally bad hungover right now so I'm just gonn write something right now and update it wit my other write up that needs to be fixed. Anyway, The story follows Light Yagami, a teen genius who stumbles across a mysterious otherworldly notebook: the "Death Note", which belonged to the Shinigami Ryuk, and grants the user the supernatural ability to kill anyone whose name is written in its pages. The series centers around Light's subsequent attempts to use the Death Note to carry out a world-wide massacre of individuals whom he deems morally unworthy of life to change the world into a utopian society without crime, using the alias of a god-like vigilante named "Kira" and the subsequent efforts of an elite task-force of law enforcement officers, consisting of members of the Japanese police force, led by L, an enigmatic international detective whose past is shrouded in mystery, to apprehend him and end his reign of terror.

Anyway, my best friend loved this anime so much that I had to watch the death note get passed around to a lot of character. I liked it but not really. It became a fad so yeah.

DEATH NOTE

So now that I’ve had my sleep, I’m gonna write the real write up for Death Note  Anyway, I know this anime because my best friend loves this manga. Basically, a bored shinigami (a god of death, bringer of death, something to do with death tbh) decided to come to the human world. He dropped his notebook which is the Death Note, a book that shinigamis used to kill people. Anyone whose name is written in there will die within forty seconds, and the time, place, and method of death can also be controlled. Ryuk’s Death Note was found by Light Yagami, a very smart but insensitive high school student. Since Light touched the notebook, Ruk became visible to him and him only. Ryuk then explained to Light how to use the Death Note. All the instructions were also written inside the book itself. Light decided to use the book’s power to cleanse the world of all the bad people like criminals and the likes and create a new, “perfect” world (according to how he sees a perfect world).

Soon, the police began to notice that there was someone behind all those murders, so they call the world’s greatest detective, L. L is also the most socially awkward person I’ve watched and it’s sometimes super cringe especially the live action films of Death Note. Anyway, L tries to bring Light’s plan to light… :lmao: Both Light and L believe themselves to be on the right side of justice and they match their wits as they attempt to prove which one of them is “good” and prove the other is “evil”.

I didn’t really watch the anime or read the manga til the end but I do know Light wasn’t the only one who held the Death Note. I remember there being a girl using it. Anyway, that’s all for this one. It’s definitely part of my anime-liking childhood but it’s not the anime that stuck with me until now. I did like the idea of writing someone’s name in the book and how they die. :lmao:

American Gods

IPB Image

I’m choosing to cut this show because it’s one I’ve never seen, and also because I hadn’t heard it mentioned as a favorite anyone wanted saved on the past few pages. So I’m hoping it won’t be a large loss. American Gods is a fantasy/drama show that currently airs on Starz network (that explains why I haven’t seen it, I’ve never had that channel), starting in April 2017. The story is based off of a book of the same name by Neil Gaiman, and follows Shadow Moon (Ricky Whittle), a man awaiting release for a 3 year prison sentence. Before his release, he is informed of the death of his wife, and sent home to attend the funeral. On his way, he encounters Mr. Wednesday (Ian McShane) who already knows a lot about him, and offers him a job as his bodyguard. After several requests, Shadow accepts, and he finds himself in a strange secret world where magic exists. In this world, there is conflict between the Old Gods (familiar names like Odin and Anubis) and the New Gods (even more familiar names like Technology and Media) as they battle for supremacy and relevance. Wikipedia tells me that the show changed show runners from Season 1 to Season 2, and now there is a completely different show runner slated to do Season 3. Based on reviews I found, the first season was very well-liked, but many complained of a dip in quality in the show’s second season. Hopefully a new direction brings it back where it was, quality-wise.

The premise of this show actually sounds pretty cool and like it has a lot of potential to be great. If I ever get Starz, I’ll definitely check out at least the 1st season!

The Defenders

IPB Image

Since Iron Fist already left I don't think anyone will mind of this show goes out as well. We all know Daredevil and Jessica Jones are superior so this one-off season does't really matter in the grand scheme of things. I never got around to watching The Defenders so I don't know if it is any good or not. I just know that it has the four main characters from Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Iron Fist. I have enjoyed all those shows so maybe I would like it if I ever got around to watching it. The Defenders is an American web television miniseries created by Douglas Petrie and Marco Ramirez for Netflix. It is based on the Marvel Comics characters Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, who form a superhero team. The show takes place in the MCU and it will be interesting to see what becomes of these characters now that Netflix canned them all. It premiered in 2017 and had 8 episodes. It was cancelled after one season.

Narcos: Mexico
IPB Image
Thank you Wally for honoring my safety requests. :* I hope this cut doesn't bother anyone, but I didn't see any requests for its safety, and there aren't too many options left. I see Narcos: Mexico is a spin-off of Narcos, which was also nominated and saved. I would guess that's the superior show, so hopefully this isn't as big a loss as that would be.

Anyway, Narcos: Mexico is a crime drama web television series that premiered on Netflix in 2018. It was actually meant to be the fourth season of the aforementioned Narcos, but they decided to develop it as its own companion series instead. The show follows an illegal drug trade in Mexico, in contrast to the original series that is focused in Colombia. It is set in the 1980s, and shares its world with the Narcos series, as well as features some of the same characters. This really does not sound like my type of show, but it received favorable reviews and was complimented for exploring new territory to expand the franchise. Although only one season of the show has aired so far, it has been picked up for a second season, which is set to premiere next month.

Thinking these are what's left:

Godless

Psych

Bron/Broen

Ray Donovan

I'm fine with making a decision for Sola if he isn't able to do so. Elliott is traveling back home today/tonight so I doubt he will be able to make a cut/save within the next hour.

The only one I know for sure to save is Bron/Broen (for Rei).

Ooh lmaooo I made this decision before seeing your post but glad you agree on this. :haha:

Ray Donovan is probably the best show out of that group of 4.

That would have been the show i would have saved if I didn't know what is favored on here only because it's the one that has a few people I heard of.

So ~rooting for it to get saved but if not then meh.
