It is one of those infuriating shows that involves time travel. They like to pretend to care about changing things. If you change something, there will be consequences. Their mere presence would cause change. Knocking people out or killing them changes things. They only acknowledge that for big events. This show somehow lasted a few seasons. I guess it would be enjoyable as background noise. It low-key should be all events, but then there's not a show anymore. Just like it's presence in this rankdown. Not here anymore. I’ve never watched it but when I still watched cable here, one of my favourite channels kept playing Mcgyver commercials every other minute and it annoyed me so much on how much it was being shown. I wanted to punch the telly whenever I saw Lucas Till’s face. Anyway, the show is a reboot of a 1985 show with the same title. MacGyver is the title character played by Lucas Till. Time to open up the Wikipedia page! Angus “Mac” MacGuyver is an operative of a secret U.S. government organization where he uses his extraordinary talent for problem solving and his extensive knowledge of science to save lives. That sounds… extremely boring to be honest. BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE! This line made me cackle irl: “With skills that are only limited by his creativity, Mac saves the day using paper clips instead of pistols ( okay!) birthday candles instead of bombs ( :roll: sure), and gum instead of guns ( Mac is the most special snowflake in the world!).” Obviously, this is something that I would never waste my time on based on that and the commercials I saw back then. I’m glad I’m the one cutting it to be honest. Good news for the show though that it’s getting its fourth season next year even with overall negative reviews! The payola is REAL. I saw it got some nominations and awards but then it’s the PCA and Teen Choice Awards. Kudos on the Emmy nod though for the Outstanding Stunt Coordination. Anyway, to the trash bin you go! The show starts Kevin James, Leah Remini, Lisa Rieffel, Patton Oswalt, Larry Romano, Victor Williams, Jerry Stiller, Nicole Sullivan and Gary Valentine, where Kevin James and Leah Remini are the only two names I recognize. The show is about working class couple living in New York, meaning that it shares the plot with another 1 billion shows. I think I saw one or two episodes from this show at the time but since I don't remember they must have been nothing to write about. During his 9 years it broug some solid ratings which is why lasted so long. I see Kevin James got a nomination for Best Actor in a Comedy Series in 2006 for this show, so I believe 2006 must have sucked for comedies in general because when Kevin James have been considered a good actor? ~Tom~ Posted December 27, 2019 Share Posted December 27, 2019 (edited) New Amsterdam I know of two shows named New Amsterdam, one is a medical drama that just aired its first season this in 2018 and its second season this year and the other is a show about an immortal man who was a homicide detective in New York. For the purposes of this write up, I assume we're talking about the former. I've only watched a few bits and pieces of the medical drama, but what I did watch didn't really hold my attention. It's apparently based on the book Twelve Patients: Life and Death at Bellevue Hospital by Eric Manheimer. The lead character wants to focus to creating a patient-centered hospital - he's focusing on their needs by eliminating as much bureaucracy as he can. A good idea in real life but not so much for an engaging television show. I think this is 100 words so out it goes. 1234567890 Posted December 27, 2019 Share Posted December 27, 2019 Joe Millionaire TBA It’s early and I’m barely waking up but I had to rush to save on My My Block which is a critically acclaimed Netflix show that features Latins and African—Americans so you know I had to save it. I love the show as well so that made it easy too. So back to the show being cut; Joe Millionaire premiers on Fox. I know that much. I’m not using Wikipedia for this so forgive me. The show premiered in 2003/2004 and the finale brought in 40 million viewers I want to say. The premise was simple; You get a regular joe pretend he is a millionaire and find out which girls are there for love or money. I don’t remember the finale or what happened tbh. This series failed to deliver on pretty much everything series like Jessica Jones and Daredevil did correctly. There were no stakes, no punch, and did nothing for the characters. I heard the second season wasn't as bad, but I never bothered to watch it after disliking the first. As with all Marvel x Netflix series, they were canceled during this year (the ones that were still being produced anyway), but who knows, Disney has a streaming platform now so they might revive them? The ratings and reviews are absolutely abysmal so if I had to guess I'd say it'll be one of those one and done kind of shows. Oh look, the episode titles all end in "AF" how ~quirky~....... A fertility doctor has been using his own sperm to conceive at least 100 children throughout his career HOLY SH*T THIS IS SUPER RAPEY. One of them unites with two of her half siblings and they deal with their problems together and what not. Omgggg I'm watching the trailer and it's so f*cked. It's supposed to be like all inspirational how the girls came together and what not, but the situation is SO F*CKED UP can they deal with this? Is there a crisis center they can go to?? Are they suing this man??? So many questions! "Finding a new family is the best thing's happened to me in years" no gurl your mom was lowkey raped. This show sounds like a disaster and apparently it was taken off of Fox's midseason schedule which in an absolute blessing. Brittany Snow you deserve better! Saving Party Down Adam Scott, Ken Marino, Lizzy Caplan, Megan Mullally, Ryan Hansen, Jane Lynch, Martin Starr, and Jennifer Coolidge. Literally one of the best ensembles ever assembled.
