vee_ Posted December 17, 2019 Share Posted December 17, 2019 (edited) HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL: THE SERIES Literally I give no sh*t about this show as it is literally tainting the iconic original HSM films. I didn't even give it a chance to give it a watch to be honest after I saw that horrible trailer and cast. The biggest letdown about this show is there is no SHARPAY EVANS IN IT. Sharpay Evans is the most iconic character in the show and imagine recreating an iconic movie without the most iconic character. I've ran out of things to say about this show because I ttied to ignore it as much as possible. I read the premise and it is set in East High which is a fictional place and it kinda is like glee with Miss Jen, whoevee she is bless her, being the new drama teacher and decided to start a drama club. I'm just glad there are PoCs in this show because Disney has been freaking up with casting. Anyways, I am not sure if it is still a musical show or not but it says it is a mockumentary so there's that. miss denise Posted December 17, 2019 Share Posted December 17, 2019 Andi Mack At first glance, I thought this was actually Alex Mack (The Secret World of Alex Mack), but that show ended in the late 90s, so I'm glad I'm not actually forced to cut a show I grew up with here. I didn't have a lot of options left, and well this was the only option for me personally, so it's a default cut. Andi Mack is a family comedy-drama series that aired on Disney Channel for three seasons, with its series finale this past summer. The show focuses on Andi Mack, and her friends, as they attend middle school. I would probably enjoy this because I love fun, light hearted shows like this that just take away my stress and problems. :bye2: I have never seen it though and am not familiar with the cast, but I have heard of it before now. I always wondered if it had some relation to the Alex Mack series, but I guess not, and that was on Nickelodeon anyway, so now we know. Oh, I see on the Wikipedia that this was the first Disney Channel series to have a character come out as gay or at least say "I'm gay", which I actually remember hearing about. That is certainly a milestone and good on them. I don't have much else to add, having not seen this show, but let's listen to the theme song, which is probably a bop. rvrE19o_C7M omg Sabrina Carpenter sings the theme song! Oh, yes they were. That's fine, I would just feel weird not having them grouped together. It's also tricky regarding the age since the characters were out of high school partway through the original series (same on some other shows), but I feel like the demographic was still the same. I actually thought you grouped some of them by the channel/target audience, since The Bold Type is also there and the characters are in their 20s. Yeah, I was torn on which category to put it, but I agree that it does make sense to group them together. I’m not familiar with the Pretty Little Liars series, so I wasn’t aware how similar or different they are. So, I just put it in the thriller category based on what I saw on Wikipedia. :lol: But yes, (and this goes out to all the rankers) if there are any other shows better suited for a different category than what they’re currently under, then let me know.
