Farm This list makes me feel really old, considering I hadn’t heard of a few of these shows :ph34r: Hopefully no one objects terribly to this cut. Overall, I’ve never really been a fan of shows of this Disney/Nick era (again, old!), and this one seemed like it would interest me least based on the plot description. A.N.T. Farm aired from 2011-2014 on the Disney Channel as a “teen sitcom.” The premise is a group of preteens who are enrolled in a gifted program at a high school called “Advanced Natural Talent”, hence the title. The main characters are Chyna (China Anne McClain) who is a music prodigy, Olive (Sierra McCormick) who has photographic memory, and Fletcher (Jake Short) who is an art genius of some sort. There are conflicts with the older students who aren’t too keen on sharing the school with these much younger “prodigies.” Checked it out on YouTube before doing my write up. On the positive side, the theme song was catchy. :flowers: negatively, the humor was just as cringy as most of the kids/teens shows tend to be! Full disclosure: I have never actually finished Pretty Little Liars. Too many people were A. Too many people talked to Allison the night she ~died.~ Whatever, the wrong show. This show features Mona And Allison (portrayed by Dancing With the Stars alum Janel Parrish and the girl with the awesome name) Do any of the other characters matter? Probably not. I am sure they certainly exist. I am sure they are some compelling stereotypes. This show was so terrible, it only lasted one season. Amazing how spin offs are so hit or miss. *Diana Posted December 16, 2019 Share Posted December 16, 2019 Bunheads I haven't really seen the abundance of CW/ABC Family shows nominated so I just picked one out of the hat to cut as I am in the middle of a major anxiety episode and don't have energy to really think about who to cut or save. These nominations were pretty great so I'll just assume my cut is warranted based on the nominations themselves. This show only got 1 season so I guess it didn't do too well. It aired in 2012. The show has a cast of about one star I recognize which would be Sutton Foster from Younger and the grandma from Gilmore Girls. Sutton didn't too bad for herself after this show flopped I guess. During my google search I found out Bunheads is about a Las Vegas showgirl who gets married quickly and has to teach at a school with her mother in law. Oh let me guess? *Chris Posted December 17, 2019 Share Posted December 17, 2019 (edited) This series is a prequel to the hit T.V. show, Sex and the City - I do not know who thought this series was a good idea because it was absolutely terrible from what I've seen (side note: my roommate at the time was obsessed with SATC & hated this series). It essentially takes place in 1984 where Carrie Bradshaw, portrayed by AnnaSophia Robb, is exploring NYC while working 2 jobs, making new friends, and finding herself some love interest - the most known love interest in this series is Sebastian who is portrayed by Austin Butler. As a whole, the series was a hot mess but what do we expect when it was created by CW - it was cancelled after 2 season which is surprising because it should have been cancelled after the first episode as it did not do justice to SATC. Austin & Ally Ahh as I kinda mentioned so many shows I like got nominated already so phew this is gonna be a tough game, but that’s the nature of it. Thankfully there were still a few easy cuts I could make, so the first show I will be cutting is sadly Austin & Ally (sorry to its fans). I heard of this show and know one of the people in it but I never watched the show. Austin & Ally is a comedy that aired on Disney Channel from December 2, 2011 through January 10, 2016. The show stars Ross Lynch as Austin Moon and Laura Marano as Ally Dawson, and obviously they are the two main stars. Raini Rodriguez, Calum Worthy are also main-stars. Cole Sand, Andy Milder, Richard Whiten and John Henson are some of the recurring stars. Austin & Ally is a show about two very different musicians and their relationship with how they interact with each other while having their shared love of music. Austin Moon is the confident/extroverted and fun loving singer and songwriter. While Ally Dawson is the introverted awkward songwriter. She sings too, but doesn’t have the confidence to perform live due to her stage freight. I am sure Austin and maybe some others help her out with that. The show sounds like a cute show and I think I would have been into if/when I was younger into the Disney shows but this show came out past my Disney time.
