Alexis Juliano

This cut here really shouldn’t be a surprise as I was never really a fan of Alexis Juliano’s. Alexis Juliano is a Tap dancer from SYTYCD Season 10. Alexis partnered Elliott favorite Nico Greetham. She danced a Hip-Hop to “Last Time,” Contemporary to “Old Skin,” Jazz to “I Put a Spell on You,” a Jive to “Mayhem” and a Contemporary to “Ashes.” Her Hip-Hop and Jive were pretty terrible. Her Contemporary and Jazz routines ranged from alright to pretty good. I did feel like Nico was stronger in those latter 3 routines I mentioned but he’s a Contemporary dancer so of course he would be - but Alexis never really impressed me in any of those dances. :( Although Idid like her in her last dance. I am sure I like her Tap solos and her Tap showcase routine, and I’d like to say she is a good Tap dancer but I can hardly remember those dances. She lasted 4 weeks dancing 5 dances before she was eliminated against Mackenzie and Jasmine Harper. It was the right choice even though I think se should have left sooner. I do think she is really pretty.

As I said, The “Ashes” Contemporary was my favorite from her so I will link that.

I don't like Ricky, but I think he should stick around a while longer. He was an easy decoy for Rei to save in place of Jessica.

Lol you say this as if we don't know your strategy behind this. :dead: :bleh:

I figured that's why you nominated him as I knew Andrew would cut Jessica given the chance

Mhmmm.

I noticed that right away but good strategy on Deee organizing that.

Alexa Anderson

I am cutting a blonde contemporary dancer. Wow. Idf must be shook. Truth be told I don't like either option so I just decided to cut the one everyone thought I'd save. Alexa was a contemporary dancer from Arizona who was on season 9 of the show. She placed in the top 20 after dancing both jazz and contemporary and not being challenged at all yet still being cut for just not doing anything worthy of being saved

She wasn't memorable to the voters or the judges or me in this Rankdown.

Found out that At age 17, Alexa performed in NYC as a principal dancer in the off Broadway contemporary dance show, “Beneath the Surface”. Which is pretty amazing for her so she'll always have that. Post show she tours with Travis Wall cool I guess.

Jessica Richens

I know a lot of people, including my husband, love Jessica but I just don’t get it. Season 11 had a lot of flaws and her making the finale was definitely one of them. I still feel like she only made it because she danced with Ricky during the showcase and as beautiful as The Vow was, that one routine alone didn’t merit her surviving week after week. And then, just when she was finally in the bottom and I thought the judges would eliminate her, they eliminated Carly and Emily instead because she had another overhyped contemporary with Casey Askew.

Before the Top 10, she danced a West Coast Swing with Nick Garcia (who was eliminated), a Jazz with Stanley Glover (who was eliminated) and a Foxtrot with Marcquet Hill (who was eliminated). By that point, she had earned the nickname “Black Widow” around here because all her partners kept getting eliminated. She then danced the aforementioned Contemporary with Casey and they both survived the double elimination, only for her to subject us to a series of all star routines ranging from Awful (Boneless with Ade... those costumes) to Mediocre (literally all of her other routines). Her only good routines were the three contemporary routines she danced (The Vow, Like Real People Do and When I Go). I did, however, like her solos because she picked good songs which is probably partly why Elliott and Wally like her (she danced to Juliet Simms and Beyoncé so). Either way, I can’t justify saving her since she was part of why I disliked Season 11 so much. I know others like her and will probably bring her back if there’s a chance to but at least I did my part to try and cut her at an appropriate time.

Okay, since I have to actually write 100 words, I guess I'll give this a whirl. Ryan Ramirez was a contestant who first came onto everyone's radar when she was cut at the Green Mile in season 7. Imagine cutting Adrian Lee and Ryan Ramirez over Jose Ruiz and Cristina Santana. I remember her being a favourite after that since she had a decent showing, so it seemed a foregone conclusion we'd see her in season eight. She returned in season eight as an early favourite. I don't remember her showcase routine but because the only routines I cared about from that show were Nick & Jess's broadway/tap and Iveta's duet with Pasha. She was with Ricky Jaime afterward, where the two of them survived landing in the bottom three after a terrible lyrical hip-hop. They landed in the bottom three after a terrible jazz, but they were saved over the likes of Nick Young, Missy Morelli and Iveta Lukosiute. This was the week Ryan gave us the above linked solo to Moving Mountains, so #choices. They were obviously given contemporary the next week and survived, which I guess was alright since it was their one good routine together. For Top 14 week (you know, the week every couple got a routine they just did two weeks ago while Chris & Ashley were given a salsa #riggamorris), they danced another terrible jazz routine that landed them in the bottom three. Ryan gave another attempt at a solo and was saved. For Ryan's final week of the season, she gave us a terrible Broadway and an absolute nightmare of a cha cha cha. After landing in the bottom three for the third time in five weeks and landing in the bottom three against Sasha Mallory and Caitlynn Lawson, Ryan was finally eliminated from the competition.
