I have kept her alone for a while now but the time has come to cut her. She isn't good nor did she produce any lasting dances in season 16 so it this is a good cut to make. She lasted 3 weeks during the live shows and placed within the top 16 of season 16. She danced a cha cha then a decent hip hop I guess if I remember it right lottery or something like that? I think people liked it but I didn't. She is a hip hop dancer so I expected more. That broadway was terrible the week she was eliminated so I don't have anything more to say.

Tony Bellissimo

IPB Image

#bless Rei for nominating Tony because he was someone I was trying to get rid of for awhile but he kept on getting saved. :dead: So I had to cut him this time around before he somehow got save again. :haha:

Tony Bellissimo is a Hip-Hop dancer from Season 5 of SYTYCD. He was partnered with Paris Torres and the two danced a Hip-Hop to “Let the Beat Rock.” This dance wasn’t anything good and special and with Tony being a Hip-Hop dancer, he was me and not even that good in that dance. So he landed in the Bottom 3 against Vitolio and Jonatan, danced a Locking solo to “Early in the Morning” and was eliminated. He was the right choice to go and I don’t get his appeal at all as a dancer. Unless he has better dancing videos outside of SYTYCD or something.

Here is video of his Hip-Hop with Paris.

THAYNE JASPERSON

Thayne Playbill

Thayne was a contemporary dancer on the legendary Season 4. He was the oldest male cast member that season at age 27, and only younger than Rayven at age 28. He was originally paired with Chelsea Traille, and although the judges seemed to like him and that partnership, they did not do so well together. I think that he and Chelsea may not have been a good match, but we will never know because they kind of got garbage routines to dance. Cha cha, Mandy Moore weird jazz, and quickstep (shade). After the quickstep, Chelsea went home and Thayne was paired with Comfort. That didn't really go well either, as they got more garbage routines one week and then managed to underwhelm in their own styles the week after that. They both went home, although the judges did remark that they wished they could cut both Comfort AND Jessica in order to save Thayne, whom they still thought was a respectable dancer and contestant. That was very nice of them to say, considering he had been in the bottom 3 for four weeks in a row. Top 10 was just not in the cards for him.

Since the show, Thayne has had massive success on broadway, and has had arguably one of the more successful post-show careers. He was in the original casts of Newsies, Matilda, and HAMILTON.

SAVE: Amelia Lowe, only because I think she had more memorable routines as a contestant on the show than Thayne did.

Channing Cooke (Season 6)

Channing Cooke is a Contemporary/Jazz dancer from Season 6 of SYTYCD. Channing is literally one of the most bland contestants ever to join the show. And inevitably she places way too high in every single game for no apparent reason, because the boring blonde contemporary fodder are always seriously overrated. Channing started the competition partnered with Phillip, and that partnership produced two of the worst routines ever. First week Jive? Horrible. Second week Samba? One of the worst routines in the history of the show. Channing survived those horrific first two weeks somehow and formed a new partnership with Victor. Channing and Victor formed a super bland partnership and danced a Stacey Tookey Contemporary for their first week together. The routine is okay, but nothing special. During Top 14 week, Channing danced a Tyce Diorio Jazz routine. This routine is similarly okay and unremarkable. Because she danced two horrendous routines and two unremarkable routines, she was finally eliminated during Top 14 week.

Since her time on the show, Channing has worked steadily as a choreographer and teacher, and most notably toured with Shaping Sounds since the group's inception. Channing seems happy, which is great.

But she is no Karen. So out she goes.
