Well I am now 2 for 2 in cutting people I cut in the 1st rankdown before my hiatus. I was missed I know. Oh look it's Ashlee's partner Ben from season 2. Do you remember him? probably not. He wasn't memorable at all nor did he produce any memorable routines so this is a fair cut. He lasted 3 weeks dancing a disco, jive and hip hop all which weren't great? His solo was nothing to write home about either. It shocked probably no one when he got eliminated during season nor should it shock anyone that he being cut so soon into this rankdown because he just was not that good.

Yeah people like saving her to annoy me in Rankdowns, so it's just whatever at this point. :haha:

Joy Spears

This was an easy cut to make as Joy Spears was my least favorite of the remaining contestants left. Joy is a contestant from the 2nd season of SYTYCD. She's a Jazz dancer who was partnered with Dmitry Chaplin for the first two weeks of the season. They danced a Hip-Hop, which I did enjoy and admitally thought she was the better one in that dance of the two. It might not have been a good routine but I remember enjoying it back then. Then on Week 2, Joy danced a Samba and of course Dmitry outshone her and was wayyy better in that whereas Joy was kind of a mess in it. :ph34rwave: They were in the Bottom 2 and Joy got eliminated. Of course I do think Aleksandra should have left that week instead but we know that didn't happen.... so sadly for Joy she leaves now.

Here is her best dance, imo.

Erin Ellis

Erin Ellis was a jazz dancer that competed on the second season of the show. She was partnered with ballroom dancer Stanislav and together they danced a Paso Doble before being eliminated. To be honest I don't think the Paso Doble was all that bad and the judges made it seem it was worse than it actually was. But I guess both dancers were cast as fodder and they just didn't care for them as both got cut during the first live show. In terms of choreography season 2 is one of my least favorite seasons and to be honest S9 may have more memorable routines than season 2, cause outside Benjelle's routine, Black mambo, La Comay, Ethna and Calling you everything else is really bad. Now you may wonder why am talking about routines that don't involve Erin, well she just danced one routine, I ran out of things to say and 100 words are needed :)

Saving Madison Jordan who was terrible but at least had more routines under her belt

Aw Erin was like my favorite first boots back in the day, so I'll always have a soft spot for her and wished she lasted longer on her season. :" border="0" alt="blushing.gif" /> :haha: Totally understand the cut as she isn't particularly memorable.

Being first out is always so tragic. I think Erin and Joy had more to show, and Ben is an amazing dancer in his own genre but just didn't seem suited for the duet competition with so many other styles.

If it's any consolation, Erin and Joy get to say that they beat out Heather Morris in the auditions.

That might not be as big of a feat as one would think, considering Heather Morris is doomed to be robbed by any and all competition dancing shows. :dead:

Who remembers the Season 8 finale episode?

Melanie: I heard that you auditioned for our show.

Heather: Yesss

Melanie: Tell me about it.

Heather: It was awful

Hahahahaha I still can't believe the editors kept that in

That is what I mean. Heather Morris is hated by DWTS and SYTYCD. :dead:

Asaf Goren
IPB Image
Asaf is hot and all, but like probably one of the worst dancers to ever make it on the show. He was basically an alternate on the "Street" team during the show's 12th season and as much as that season turned out all right, by modern season standards, he really dragged the first few weeks (and his partners) down. In the showcase, he danced a hip-hop with the other hip-hop dancers, Burim, Lily and Jaja. All three of them were better than him in that routine. In Week 2, he danced a broadway with Kate and Neptune to "All About That Bass" by Satan Herself, Meghan Trainor. I hate that song but I didn't mind the routine because I like Spencer Liff's choreography (and his body :ice cream:) but Asaf was not good in that routine either. He then danced a Jean-Marc Genereux "Club Cha-cha" which was truly tragic. Poor Marissa was stuck with him and both of them were eliminated. Because he overstayed his welcome and had a string of three routines in which he was the worst part of them, he absolutely deserves to go first and honestly, didn't even deserve to make that Top 20. He's just hot. Nowadays, he's modelling and on a bunch of reality shows so, good for him. Capitalizing on his looks.

Awww yeah it is. :( Ah yeah I think both could have done better with other dances or something. I never really cared for Ben but you could be right there.

That is so crazy to think about there. :haha:

You have to understand, though, DWTS is different than SYTYCD. It's not about dancing ability, it's about who can have fun and improve and show America that they are nice. Heather was up against powerhouses like Bonner Bolton and Nick Viall who were super nice and she had a partner, Maksim, who was not all that popular, so if you consider hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha just kidding, but could you imagine?

For real, though, Heather is amazing.
