Danielle Evans (Cycle 6, 1st Place)


With over 300 models taking part on ANTM, we’ve obviously seen a wide variety of contestants. You have the big personalities, you have the more complex personalities, and once in a blue moon, you get a viable model. The great thing about Danielle is that she ticks every single one of those boxes, and that’s why she’s my #1.

Danielle entered ANTM as a clearly gorgeous yet somewhat pedestrian girl who didn’t always know what to do in front of the camera. Once she was cast, though, something clicked, and she began to thrive as a model. Even though I think Joanie had the best portfolio of the cycle, Danielle wasn’t far behind at all. Danielle’s portfolio combined with her runway walk, personality, and presence definitely earned her the win in my book.

Danielle wasn’t just a strong model, though. In a cycle that had both Jade and Furonda, Danielle still managed to stand out as a big personality. Danielle was hilarious in her own way, clearly full of personality and exuberance, yet she never demanded the spotlight. She was modest… yet confident.

Something else I admired about Danielle was her authenticity and commitment to sticking to her guns, such as when she initially refused to close the gap in her teeth. I do think that once she gave the judges a bone, she did end up a more refined model, but she was never sycophantic about anything. She recognized what needed to be done, she did it, yet she stayed true to herself throughout the process. I think it’s this type of attitude that’s let her have such a long career in modeling. She knows how to be professional, yet she’s never not herself.

Ultimately, seeing Danielle win cycle 6 was a super satisfying ending. I was so happy to see her talent and her passion rewarded. I’d love to see her come out on top here, too, and I think based on everything I look for in a contestant, she deserves it. Regardless, Danielle is and will always be an ANTM legend, and I’m delighted to put her in my #1 spot.

Danielle - iconic winner. arguably the best winner ever. part of one of the best top 2 ever. she was often criticized by the judges for having the same look in many of her shoots, but damn, what a look it was. her falling princess, bald mannequin, elephant, mermaid, covergirl and doll are all iconic pictures. I prefer Joanie over her, but Danielle is more than a deserving winner. In a season that was so fun to watch with all the drama and iconic characters, it was actually nice that the right top 2 ended up in the end. Love her!!!

Yayy Dani! I love Danielle Evans and she’s one of my all-time favorite models on ANTM, so much so that I am giving her the #2 spot. Cycle 6 was an amazing and memorable cycle and certainly one of the best cycles out there, which Danielle did contribute so much of that greatness to the cycle! Danielle had al of the perfect balance and mix of a fantastic and iconic ANTM contestant and really ticked all of the boxes there. She has a fun, great lively personality, she’s not just funny but freaking hilarious, she’s caring/sweet, she showcased her vulnerable side, stood up for herself and just brought so much dynamics as a character.

Not only was Danielle a fantastic character, she was an incredible model and has produced soooo many iconic and all-time favorite photos that i love so much. Here’s some of my favorites…..

Danielle was only nominated once in this game, and that was on the Public Noms round. WTH, Public? Who nominated her? :ermm: Anywho, I had the honor of saving her which I am so glad i did. Considering that Danielle was only nominated that one time, I guess I could have saved someone else and rely on someone else to save Dani, but I am glad I did what I did just in case Danielle got cut. I absolutely LOVE Danielle and she’s one of my all-time favorites. I’m really hoping for her to land at a great spot, and get the Cycle 6 win even though I also love Joanie too. I think she’s got a great shot at winning, so fingers crossed!

DANIELLE EVANS
If a winner should win this rankdown, it should be Danielle Evans - an iconic contestant that provided us entertainement (e.g.: falling with high heels on) to giving us some great pictures while fighting week after week to leave her mark. In my opinion, she's easily one of the best winner - probably in my Top 5 where there's not lots of competition as my favourites don't tend to win. And while I love Danielle, I want Joanie to outlast her but it's impossible for me to tank her so she's getting a good placement, right below a certain someone.

While only getting the top photo once, Danielle was farely consistent during her time on the show, despite some stumble along the way (e.g.: the doll shoot). Some of Danielle's standout shoots, in my opinion, are: the falling princess shoot where she was Snow White, the mermaid photoshoot, and the elephant & beach swimsuit photoshoot.

There's no denying she deserved her win on Cycle 6 and I would be fine with her winning, the rankdown.

Danielle is super entertaining, nice, a great model and fantastic winner! I loved her personality a lot. I know the judges had problems with the way she talked, which led to some funny moments, but I love her accent and everything else. She had to go through some tough things like injuring her foot and being sick from food poisoning, I think, but of course she came out on top. She honestly brought me so many laughs that I could just sit here quoting a bunch of stuff out of context, but I won't. Danielle has the signature gap in her teeth that Tyra wanted to get closed for some reason, but I love that Danielle stood her ground and kept what makes her unique! GO GIRL. omg Tyra saying she was leaving a gap for another model if she didn't fix her teeth. What now? Tyra should know better. Anyway, "Forget the gap, sucka, I'm going to Thailand!" That wasn't out of context. Danielle was iconic during go-sees and cracked me up. Oh man, the hilarity she brought me was great. But she's also so down-to-earth, a great model, and everything you could love! Some of my favorite photos of her include the one with the ice sculpture, Snow White, the singer, the marionette, and black & white beauty shot, to name a few. I'm very happy she won and got however far in this Top 20 she got. :teehee:

Danielle Evans is the heart and soul of Cycle 6 and is absolutely one of the greatest ANTM contestants ever. Straight up lovable, hilarious, genuine, caring, pure-hearted, resilient, and gorgeous. Though most of my write-ups are novels, I don't know that I have anything at length to discuss about Danielle. I think her time on the show speaks for itself. Extremely personable with such a beautiful story of wanting to make it big in the industry to help care for her sick grandmother. One-half of the best top two ever on the show. One of the greatest winners of any reality television competition show. Danielle Evans is just such a special person, and I will never forget the moment that she sat with Joanie at the dentist for twelve hours just to comfort her. Or her perseverance in Thailand, leaving the hospital extremely ill just to ride on an elephant in the jungle to take a stellar/iconic photo. Or her hilarious attempt at walking in the most dangerous heels lol.

But what I remember most about Danielle Evans is her absolute refusal to change herself for the approval of others. Whether that be her heavy Southern accent, or the gap in her teeth. Danielle refused to let Tyra and the judges force her into changing who she was at her very core. Danielle loved herself, and that meant more to her than winning the competition. When she refused to close the gap in her teeth, I remember feeling so proud of Danielle. That may be some of the first moments of true body positivity and acceptance that I had ever actually witnessed and recognized as such.

After all these years, Danielle's inner strength and humility stick with me as some of the most treasured moments from arguably the greatest cycle of ANTM. The grace and poise that she maintained throughout all of her struggles and criticisms made Danielle such a relatable soul. That grace and poise is what carried Danielle to one of the most gratifying victories ever. Danielle put her nose to the grindstone, and emerged from every setback a stronger human being. That is why I love her so much - how can you not smile when you watch her winning reaction?

Despite all of the warmth and happiness she brought to such a crazy cycle, Danielle also proved to be an insanely great model with a stellar portfolio. From beginning to end, Danielle impressed as a model in the competition. THAT COVERGIRL PHOTO. Still amazes me to this day and is such an underrated photograph. No surprise then that Danielle would go on to have a wonderful post-show career with a ton of great work on her résumé. All of her hard work and drive to do well while keeping a bright spirit and solid head on her shoulders paid off immensely.

Danielle Evans made the finals of this Rankdown with ease. As she should have. A true ANTM legend. A true gem of a person. And hopefully a potential winner of this game.

I would be shocked if she did not come in the top five? Or possibly win? I don’t know she seems so universally loved by everyone. She was a great winner from the most iconic cycle of all time. What more do I have to say about her? I am sure others will do better.

Wow I did not expect to put her this low but here we are. Everyone above her I either prefer or I’m trying to prop them up for a higher placement. Danielle should be top 10 at least even with this ranking so I’m not worried *cue Danielle being revealed at 20*. Danielle is one of my favorite winners ever. She is an amazing model and an amazing person. Just truly one of the most rootable contestants ever. I haven’t come across a person who doesn’t love Danielle. Though I love the models who realize how ridiculous this show is and make fun of it every second of the way, I also love the people who take it seriously. Danielle was committed as hell to this show! And she was committed without losing herself. She fell on those super high heels and sprained her ankle, but she did it anyway. Of course, she went to the hospital during the elephant photoshoot and was super sick, but she did it anyway. I think it’s stupid that Tyra expects these girls to like, ride an elephant while they’re dying, but I appreciate Danielle’s commitment to the stunt anyway. She wanted it the most and was the most deserving so I’m more than happy she won.
She was really funny and really righteous the whole time. Does anyone remember racist ass Dani from the first episode? She was some casting shtick that was clarely just designed to cause drama. Danielle put her in her place immediately though. Danielle was not gonna let that bitch get in the way of her win. She decided she wasn’t gonna f*ck with her and that’s that. I love that energy. My favorite thing about Danielle though is how she stood her ground on her gap. Danielle loves her gap and her imperfections despite the fact that it took her a while to love it. Tyra’s an awful person though and wanted to get rid of it because God forbid models have imperfections. This is no Joanie situation where she wanted her teeth fixed, Danielle most certainly did not. It took until Tyra threatened her with elimination that Danielle had to finally give in. Luckily for Danielle, Tyra doesn’t understand how dental surgery works and there wasn’t that much the dentists could do with her teeth <3. That’s a victory for Danielle! Standing up to Tyra on this show is absolutely terrifying, but Danielle did it and she still won the whole damn thing. We stan!
