I don't know where I expected Alice to rank, but love that the public gave her movie so much love!

Me after all the low rankings Sleeping Beauty received:

Sleeping Beauty would've received a higher ranking if it was up to me. I'm disappointed no one mentioned how beautiful the artwork for this film is. Look how impressive and stunning it is:

I'll always prefer animation like this over the computer animation that's popular today, and Sleeping Beauty has the best art style of any Disney film (at least in my opinion). Plus, Maleficent is the best Disney villain, too. Goofy villains can be fun, but I like the elegance Maleficent has and how she doesn't hide how evil she is either. Also, Aurora has the best singing voice of all the princesses. I know people give Aurora grief for not being in the movie much, but she is cursed to fall asleep after all. Plus, it is a film with a mostly female cast and passes the Bechdel test, and that should count for something. Oh, well. At least Sleeping Beauty ranked within the Top 20, but I still would've liked to have seen it higher than here.

Nice post on Sleeping Beauty, Steven.

I never saw Moana but i know Denise really loves the film so of course I was never going to target it. But sadly I can’t rank it too high and i got to put it at #25, as I have more familiarity with the 24 films i rank higher. Moana is a really cute looking film and i would definitely like to see it at some point as I think i would really enjoy it.

Thank you.

I've seen it twice

What did you think? :o My newspaper's movie critic thought it was boring, but you must have liked it to go again. :haha:

No. I want to but I've been busy. I'll probably see it tomorrow. ^_^

Same, but I think I'll probably go next week. :w00t:

Nice post on Sleeping Beauty, Steven. <3 I'm sorry it ranked in the lower end and that my ranking contributed to that. I do really like it and especially love Aurora, but have seen it very few times compared to so many others that I watched a ton growing up. It has a lot of great qualities though. Did you rank it #1? :o

Thank you! ^_^ I'm glad you like the film too, but understandable why it was in the lower end for you. And yup, even though my Top 3 is very interchangeable, Sleeping Beauty was #1 on my rankings.

One Hundred and One Dalmatians

One Hundred and One Dalmatians was my favorite Disney movie as a child. I absolutely adored this movie and all the dogs. I actually now wonder if this movie is what birthed my love of dogs and how I discovered that they're the best creatures on the planet. I was also specifically obsessed with dalmatians as a kid because of this movie. I had stuffed dalmatians and a computer game and handheld game based on this movie that I would play. :haha: :bye2: Those were the days. I was also obsessed with the live action version of this so much. I just loved everything relating to this movie.

So, One Hundred and One Dalmatians of course tells the story of Pongo, Perdita, their puppies, and their owners (or "pets" as Pongo says :giggle: ), who are forced to deal with the awful Cruella de Vil, who steals the puppies to make coats from their fur. She is my least favorite kind of person. Her name literally has the word "cruel" in it. I have to back up though because I love the scene where Pongo gets Roger and Anita to meet for the first time, especially when Roger offers her his wet tissue. It's really cute. Then Perdita gives birth to 15 puppies and LOL Pongo's face as they keep coming! Roger saves the 15th puppy too, which always makes me :bye2:

IPB Image

Cruella showed up uninvited, of course, and the whole scheme of the plot begins. Of course, she waits to return until the puppies develop their spots. The scene with all the doggies watching TV is so cute, especially with the little one who stays up after they've all gone to bed, just wagging his tail at the TV. :giggle: And ROLLY! He is forever hungry.

IPB Image

The puppies are so cute all cuddled up in their bed, but ugh Cruella sends her men to steal them and ruin the good things we deserve. I have to say, that Nanny is a boss trying to stop them! Sadly, they are successful, but Roger knew all along that Cruella was the worst. He even wrote the "Cruella de Vil" song about her... before she stole the puppies.

Pongo and Perdita recruit their animal friends to help them track down the puppies, which they find... although with 82 others. WOW Cruella. Wow. :| Their cat friend, Tibbs, is real helpful in getting the puppies to escape from the abandoned home, and the parent doggies rush out to bring them back home. Of course, there are WAY more puppies than they could believe, but they don't waste a second in wanting to take all of them home. I also love how their animal friends refer to them as "The Pongo's" as if it's their last name. :haha: But they have to travel home through a snow storm, and I truly felt their pain. :bye2:

IPB Image

It's so cute how they all cover themselves in fireplace soot to not be recognized.

Although Cruella and her henchmen put up quite a chase to get the puppies back, they end up falling in a ditch. The puppies all get back home safely, and Roger, like Pongo, doesn't blink twice at keeping ALL 99 puppies. They plan to have a Dalmatian plantation, which sounds like paradise, so BLESS this movie full of lovable dogs all living like the royalty they are.

I fell in love with this movie as a child and still love it because of all the dogs. Cruella is truly a terrible villain, but still an iconic character, as is the song named after her. This group of dogs is forever in my heart.

WALLACE
One Hundred and One Dalmatians (1961)
I was stuck on deciding where to rank films #7 through #9 but ultimately ended up ranking One Hundred and One Dalmatians at #9. One Hundred and One Dalmatians is another classic Disney film I loved as a kid although haven’t watched it in forever. I am very glad this film made it into the Top 30, especially with how Diana was cutting every dog related film in sight. I tease. :giggle:One Hundred and One Dalmatians is the 17th animated Disney feature film, which was released on January 25, 1961 and grossed over $303 million in the box office.

One Hundred and One Dalmatians is a movie about dalmatian dogs, who have happened to get kidnapped by the evil and villainous Cruella de Vil, who has her eyes set on using the dogs fury and making them into coats. Pongo and Perdita, the parents of the dogs, are worried about their children and would do whatever it takes to save them.

Here’s a trailer of the film:

And I do love the song, “Cruella de Vil,” which I will also post.

101 Dalmatians - The movie itself? A snooze. Cruella De Vil is one of the best Disney villains and single-handedly carries this film on her back. A glam, chain-smoking, fur-obsessed goddess whose sole motivation is murdering puppies for a coat. Quite possibly the worst motivation for a villain in the history of Disney movies. And that’s what makes her amazing. Humanizing villains has become the norm and it makes them boring. I know anti-heroes are all the rage but I miss the days of over-the-top, campy, evil villains. That’s exactly who Cruella is. Incompetent and cruel in the best possible way. You know a character is special when, in their first appearance in the film, another character has a cruel song already written about her. Cruella is actually competent at first. She successfully kidnaps the pups, doesn’t have to pay her goons who do a good job, and tricks dumbass Anita into thinking she’s completely innocent. Not her fault that these bionic dogs are randomly super smart and Cruella was getting thrown under the bus by other neighborhood dogs . The police also interfere and free the dogs despite the fact that a majority of those dogs were legally purchased by our heroine . The Cruella driving scene is infamous and for good reason. She is crack’d at that point and it’s hilar <33333333. She gets f*cked over by her incompetent goons, a tragic end to the tale.

The animated version of “One Hundred and One Dalmatians” was released in 1961 where it tells us the story of an iconic villain known as Cruella de Vil and her determination to kidnap Dalmatian puppies to use them to have fur coats… The movie was an immense success, and it continued to be a success for many years to come - it inspired a live-action adaptation in 1996 where it featured Glenn Close, as well as the upcoming movie “Cruella” which should be released in 2021.

This is a movie that I have fond memories of watching while growing up - it’s not an ultimate favourite of mine but it is a movie that I enjoyed. But unfortunately, it is a movie that I forgot as the years went by, hence why it misses out on my Top 15.

Disney films about dogs. It's one of my favorite combinations ever. <3 I loved this movie as a kid because like I've told you before when I was a kid I loved Disney and dogs so loving this movie was a no-brainer for me. This is one of the most realest Disney movies ever made. It's strictly about a couple, their dogs and the villain who wants them. :haha: The movie works so well and it one of the loveliest movies made by Disney.

One Hundred and One Dalmatians is a 1961 American animated adventure film produced by Walt Disney Productions and based on the 1956 novel The Hundred and One Dalmatians by Dodie Smith. It's Disney's 17th animated feature film and the film tells the story of a litter of Dalmatian puppies who are kidnapped by the Cruella de Vil who wants to use their fur to make into coats. Their parents, Pongo and Perdita, set out to save their children from Cruella all the while rescuing 84 additional puppies that were bought in pet shops bringing the total of Dalmatians to 101. I love math.

The film follows Roger Radcliffe, a songwriter who lives in a bachelor flat in London with his pet Dalmatian, Pongo. Pongo decides to find a wife for Roger and a mate for himself because he is bored with bachelor life. While watching various women with their female dogs he finds a perfect pair in a woman named Anita and her female Dalmatian, Perdita. He arranges a meeting and Roger and Anita eventually fall in love and marry with their dogs. Perdita gives birth to a litter of 15 puppies and that same day they are visited by Cruella De Vil, a wealthy former schoolmate of Anita's. She offers to buy the entire litter but Roger says they are not for sale. Cruella gets upset and their is a fallout. A few weeks later she hires her henchmen, Jasper and Horace, to steal them. The police are unable to find them so Pongo and Perdita use the "Twilight bark" which is a canine gossip line to ask for help from the other dogs in London.

An Old English Sheepdog named Colonel, along with his compatriots, a gray horse named Captain, and a tabby cat names Sergeant Tibbs, find the puppies in a place called Hell Hall along with 84 other Dalmatian puppies that she had bought from various dog stores. When they learn that they are going to be made into fur cars they quickly send work back to London. As soon as they find out Pongo and Perdita leave town for their puppies. Cruella orders Jasper and Horace to kill the puppies out of fear that the police will soon find them. Pongo and Perdita break in and confront Jasper and Horace just as they are about to kill the puppies. While the adult dogs attack them, the Colonel and Tibbs guide the puppies from the house. They are reunited with their puppies but they realize that their are 99 altogether including their own. They decided to adopt the other 84 puppies because they are certain that Roger and Anita would never reject them. The Dalmatians begin making their way back to London through deep snow, as all open water is frozen solid. Other animals help them along the way while Cruella, Jasper, and Horace chase them. They cover themselves with soot to disguise themselves as Labradors then pile inside a moving van bound for London. Cruella discovers that it's really the Dalmatians and enraged she follows the van in her car and rams into it. Jasper and Horace end up crashing into her and both vehicles are smashed to smithereens and fall into a deep ravine leaving Cruella and her henchmen stranded and defeated at last.

Back in London, Roger and Anita are attempting to celebrate Christmas and his first big hit, a song about Cruella. They miss their canines, but they hear barking outside and the house is filled with dogs after their nanny opens the door. After wiping away the rest of the soot, they are delighted to realize their pets have returned home. After counting 84 extra puppies they decide to keep all the puppies and use the money from Roger's song to buy a larger house in the country so they can have a Dalmatian plantation. 101 DALMATIONS. The only song from this movie that I know of the iconic "Cruella De Vil".

I really love that song. And Rolly is my favorite puppy and any other choice will not be accepted. :* The film was originally released to theaters on January 25, 1961 and it was a box office success. It pulled the studio out of the financial slump caused by Sleeping Beauty, a costlier production released two years prior. It was a commercial and critical success. The film used inexpensive animation techniques such as using xerography during the process of inking and painting traditional animation cels that kept production costs down. The movie cost $3 million dollars to make and it made $303 million dollars at the box office. The movie has an appoval rating of 98% on Rotten Tomatoes. The movie has produced a sequel, live-action remakes, a tv series and a spin-off. 01 Dalmatians II: Patch's London Adventure was released in 2006. This franchise was doing live-action remakes before it was made trendy with 101 Dalmatians (1996) and 102 Dalmatians (2000) both starring Glenn Close. Two tv series in 101 Dalmatians: The Series and 101 Dalmatian Street. Lastly, a spin-off starring Emma Stone as Creulla De Vil is in the works. Cruella is due out in 2021. That's a lot of projects for these Dalmatians.

Sorry but I am cutting both these last two for the sole fact to get justification for Wall-E. Also this one isn’t as good as everyone makes it out to be.
