Sad to see Tamar get robbed like that but at least Parvati made it through. Bittersweet feelings all around.

Is it Sola because he has CGF on ignore? :dead:

Omg that might be the reason.

Sola it's Tamar vs. Parvati. I know your vote but me me anyways :*

:dead:

Parvati surviving yet another attempt to put her in danger, I have to stan

It was either this or it would have been Ika/Parvati had I not nommed her, so I’m really not as bothered as you’d may think. ^_^

Also if it means I just have to post a Tamar bonus write-up including the praise she deserves, so be it

:haha:

Ugh yeah true. :'( :haha:

Looking forward to your iconic Tamar bonus write-up though.

At this point Tamar’s had so many unfortunate/problematic moments that I try my best to ignore them and just focus on how she’s a reality TV icon  And yes, she remains unbothered in the DWTS rankdown

I think it was just horrible wording because she’s been very involved with/supportive of the LGBTQ+ community otherwise, and I believe she apologised pretty quickly. Not defending it..but yeah Tamar has a tendency to put her foot in her mouth (which makes it even more amazing that she somehow won CBB unanimously :dead::wub:)

Also lol if Parvati survives yet again she continues to thrive/defy odds of her going..this ended up being a win/win in my books. :giggle:

Lmaooo yeah this pretty much. Tamar has had a long list of problematic comments/issues of things for years. Some of it can be funny, some of them can be yikes. But she definitely has a case of putting her foot in her mouth a lot. :haha: But i'll appreciate her for the great reality TV star and strong singer that she is.

Tamar Braxton

Tamar Braxton is a problematic houseguest who won the most recent season of Celebrity Big Brother. Tamar has a laundry list of problematic things that she has said in her career mostly recently she said this "The truth is ladies that these dudes out here really do be gay!! It ain't enough money, beauty, hair, babies in the world to keep them!!" she wrote. "They want D**k!! Periodt!!... It's nothing wrong with you, but they will find EVERY reason in the world to make u not good enough!!" she wrote. "If he lays with you for 3, 4, 10 days and he don't touch u, it's NOT YOU!! HE WANT A MAN!! And that's on my momma." Obviously this is not accurate and borderline offensive. What bothers me the most isn't what she said is that people will defend her for it but condemn other people for saying less. It's pretty hypocritical to cancel others but refuse to have the same energy for Tamar and other problematic favorites that they may have. Keep it consistent at least. Anyways I am totally fine with Tamar going and was expecting a shutout so out you go Tamar.

I feel like we spent a lot of time ignoring Jeff Schroder’s homophobic comments and then attacking one poor choice of Tamar’s so I look forward to completing an appropriate writeup celebrating her gameplay and including examples of her participation supporting the LGBT community! In the meantime here’s a video showing her best bits of her unanimous win.

I feel like Cody saying he ‘enjoyed’ the Ferguson riots and then using derogatory terms for transgender people, while refusing to apologise, is far more gross than Tamar saying one bad thing and instantly addressing her mistake and apologising.

I wouldn’t really consider myself a stan so I’m not even saying this from a biased perspective but while Tamar’s comment was insanely idiotic, she’s also shown throughout the years that she’s an LGBT ally - even before it was a “mainstream” thing to do. I think she deserved the backlash she received for her remark, but I also think her apology was genuine.

(And not that it matters/makes it any better, but it wouldn’t surprise me if she makes jokes like that around her close LGBT friends and they’re fine with it because they’re friends, and she didn’t realize they weren’t comments that should be repeated to the public.)

Just my two cents.

Tamar Braxton

So, where to start? Anyone who followed the DWTS forums/the CBB threads before 2019 knows I'm already a big Tamar fan - I was supporting her throughout DWTS season 21, and knew she was a big BB fan (especially of Da'Vonne on Twitter... her mind!) so as soon as a celebrity season was announced I knew she had to be a part of it. Seeing her make the cast was really exciting, but my predictions were off early on. For one, I didn't know she and Kandi had drama, so I was hoping the two would team up and form a power duo from the beginning. Also, knowing Tamar, her dramatics and her pretty polarizing personality, I honestly wrote her off pretty early on because I could just not see her flying under the radar and going far in the game. Also she said Evel Dick was her favorite player in her bio and I was like... chile, please don't let me have to unstan you here. :*

Tamar was the first person to walk into the house, a known curse, but she gave us instant GIFs, amazing confessionals and iconic moments from the off - such as Tom Green going on about OJ to Kato, and Tamar just filling her mouth with grapes :dead:

After Kandi comes in, it's revealed how Tamar has drama with her. Being a fan of Tamar but also Kandi and her work in Xscape, her solo music and Real Housewives, I was nervous about my two faves coming for each other from the off. :dead: I kinda decided early on that Kandi was probably gonna be my neutral fave and Tamar would be my chaotic fave who was bringing the drama. They paired up for the first challenge and completely flopped. As much as they tried to work together, it was clear there was friction that had to be cleared up. They go on to patch up their relationship, and I don't really think either of them were in the right - but seeing them be open about that and let it all out, which allowed them to develop their relationship and turn it into a true friendship, was one of my highlights on BB. When Kandi had her exit interview she was clearly emotional about how they were able to mend that fence, which was so sweet.

To save some time because I could go on, just a few final highlights of Tamar's time in the game.
  • Natalie/Lolo proposing a F2 alliance completely unaware that Tamar is watching the entire thing in the bedroom :lmao:
  • Literally all of the Tamar/Lolo feud - escalating at the feeds cutting out for hours and there being rumors that they got into an actual physical fight :dead:
  • A random, full-on screaming meltdown in one of the endurance HOH comps
  • Dragging Kato throughout his speech nominating her: "I slipped on some shrimp today" "I'm not the maid :*"
  • Leaving the horror movie comp in terror after screaming the entire time
  • An America's vote actually being right for once and giving her the Power of the Publicist!
  • Flipping the vote to save Kandi after finally bonding with her, sending home Joey (who tbh finally became interesting at this point)
  • Interrogating Dina Lohan on being catfished :dead:
  • Winning some comp which feels like it was included just to try and give Tom Green safety because the show knew he was definitely going home otherwise
  • Tapdancing through Tom's eviction... completely messy and I totally see why she got dragged for it, but also, iconic TV
  • The final HOH competition when they showed Tamar a child lookalike of herself and you could see her mouthing "that's not right :/" in disgust
  • Being a cert for 3rd place and then Ricky taking her to the final 2

And then of course, that led to Tamar and Ricky being in the final 2, and Tamar NAILED that jury questioning, was completely open about her time in the game, as well as the struggles in her life leading up to her time on the show. Even through her arguments with Tom, Kato and Ricky to name a few, she sweeped the jury and won all 9 votes. Pretty much everyone praised her in the post-show interviews which is kinda crazy, but shows how she played a super solid game throughout her drama and crazy moments. She of course then also broke a lot of records, such as being the first person to win who entered the house first, the first woman to win in a unanimous vote, and the first African-American winner. Had she not received a vote from Joey to evict earlier on in the game, she would have played a Perfect Game. Iconic.

This is super long now so I'll just end on a quick note - when it comes to her comments from last month, she totally deserved to get called out for it. They weren't appropriate or defendable, but she was quick to clear up what she was saying, admit her mistakes and apologize to the LGBT community who she has been a longtime ally of. I didn't wanna go into it too much because it got discussed yesterday, but also I'd rather we had a write-up celebrating her instead of one just calling her problematic having only known about some controversial things she said a day prior to writing. Tamar's messy and dramatic but from everything I've seen of her she's good-hearted and open to learning from mistakes (I wish she could sort out her drama with the girls on The Real but that's another write-up for another day). I hope 2020 is another successful year for her, as I think what's often overlooked is that she is actually a super talented singer and has released a string of great R&B albums! I'll wrap up here, but just end on this:
