Solaris Posted December 18, 2019 Share Posted December 18, 2019 Jessica & John Apparently this team raced twice, so why do I have problems remembering them? The first time they raced was season 22. The only teams I remember from this season were Team YouTube and the Roller Derby moms <3. Everyone else :sleep: Jessica and John came in first on the first leg and received two express passes, one they had to give to another team, but I don't think they wound up doing that, as they got eliminated on the third leg. Apparently they were alligned with Team YouTube and the Roller Derby Moms, so that makes me even more confused. So Jessica and John came back 2 seasons later for Season 24: All-Stars, who had infinitely more memorable teams. They performed worse in the legs, but they made it further in the competition this go round. they got all the way up to 7th place this time. I feel like there spot might have been wasted. Even though the season had shitty winners, it was a more memorable season. I have talked around Jessica and John for 100 words now. We good. I thought 22 was great, but it's surrounded by 21, 23, and 24 which are some of my least favorite seasons so that helps I'm sure. *Lily Posted December 18, 2019 Share Posted December 18, 2019 Brandon & Nicole As you can imagine these TAR noms are my worst nightmare seeing as I can't say I really know much about any of the teams left. I feel like I've heard good things about Amy & Maya (and also #BlackGirlMagic with Maya winning so I'm keeping them safe ) and also Ethan & Jenna I know from Survivor. So kinda just came down to having to pick one of the others and I'm going with Brandon & Nicole. They had a good showing in their season, finishing in 3rd place on Season 5 (which I hear is good so I really need to watch lol, maybe I'll stan afterwards). They were a dating couple at the time who were very religious and spent much of their time praying. From my understanding there were bigger characters in this season, but they seemed to have some good moments. They got to the infamous head-shaving leg which they refused to do and were lucky that this was a non-elimination leg. I'm also largely cutting them because Brandon's hair is the most early/mid-2000s hair I have seen and it deserves to be punished But mostly this just comes down to having to cut someone and so I'm gonna go for these two. *Amanda Posted December 19, 2019 Share Posted December 19, 2019 Ethan & Jenna Since we're clearly okay with cutting duplicates and their individual selves were MUCH better on their respective seasons of Survivor than they were as a team on the race, I am choosing to cut Ethan & Jenna. They appeared on the race as CBS loves to have its couples who met through its other shows do the race together. We all know they were great on Survivor, unfortunately they only raced 2 legs of the race. They actually did a really good job on leg 1, placing 4th. However, things fell apart for them on leg 2. They were one of the many teams who missed the sign that they had to donate all their money to the orphanage - which became really hilarious when like 10 couples missed it and the camera kept zooming in on the sign. So, when they arrived at the pit stop, Phil told them they had to go back to the orphanage and because this leg was a double elimination leg, Ethan & Jenna were eliminated even though they didn't finish the leg in last place. They had dated for 10 years, but broke up in 2013 and Ethan married someone else in 2016. Anyway, like I said, since we're cutting the duplicates, these two can go. Sorry to any of their fans.
