ePastorJames
035. WEAVILE (#461) Now Weavile is awesome, plain and simple. I'm ecstatic to see it in the Top 35. It has cool typing, a great design, and much badassery. <3 Like the other two, letting it go ain't easy. But I take solace in it outlasting so many equally great Pokémon and placing very high amongst the chaos. Weavile is, of course, a Gen. IV weasel-esque character, known as the "Sharp Claw Pokémon". It is a dual-type ark/Ice combo, which I love. It evolves from our beloved Sneasel (from Gen. II) when leveled-up at night while holding a Razor Claw. Literally, it's so interesting, that even its evolution is unique. This snazzy Pokémon cannot be located in the Sinnoh wild, however. One must capture a Sneasel first and evolve it into Weavile! To do so, you can catch it along Routes 216-217; at either the Acuity Lakefront or around Lake Acuity; and at Snowpoint Temple. It can be found in each of the Diamond/Pearl/Platinum games! :w00t: Hooray! All in all, Weavile (not to mention Sneasel) makes for a worthwhile member of your Party Of 6, for sure. Congrats on conquering many obstacles to reach the Top 35. We bid it adieu here lovingly, in a near-endgame finish! :wave:SAVING: ARCANINE, zee hot woofer; + FERALIGATR, zee wet chomper; & SCIZOR, zee metallic snipper! Solaris
Lugia I was initially surprised to see Lugia eliminated. It is a very popular legendary pokemon. It is seen as the leader of the 3 elemental birds from the Kanto region (despite being in Johto). The second pokemon movie was all about Lugia. This was the last pokemon movie I have seen. Lugia is a psychic and flying type pokemon introduced in the second generation. It had great base stats boasting a 130 defense, 154 special defends, 110 speed and a solid 106 hit points. It is a decently tanking pokemon with is types. It has a 4 times resistance to fighting moves, and also resists grass and psychic attacks. lugia is weak to rock, electic, ice, dark and ghost moves. Lugia can do well with either physical or special attacks. It appreciates STAB psychic or flying moves like Psychic (throw TM), or Sky Attack. You can round out its roster with moves like hydro pump, ancient power. I would always suggest to have Recover on it. Great job on getting to th Top 40! Solaris
Zoroark I am honestly not sure ow Zoroark got to the Top 40. I assume because it was no ones target. Certain this pokemon isn't amongst my favorite pokemon, nor is it anywhere close to me favorite dark type pokemon. Zoroak is a Gen 5 pokemon that evolves from Zorua (which is much cuter), once it hits level 30. Zoroark has solid mid-tier pokemon base stats, at 510. Its defenses are sort of garbage (60 hit points, defense and special defense). Its meant to hit hard and hit fast, with either physical or special moves. I would just give it foul play and be happy with it. Zoroark has immunity to psychic type moves. It also resists ghost and dark moves. You will find it is only weak to fairy, fighting and bug moves. I find it a decent defensive typing as a result. Zoroarks ability is illusion which allows it to replicate another pokemon in your party. There are some interesting strategies out there that uses this ability. Anyway congrats on Top 40, out you go!
NGM
I am honestly not sure how Zoroark got to the Top 40. Honestly same. Was someone particularly fond of it? I can't remember if someone was saving it all the time or if we just didn't nominate it
.Rei
Honestly same. Was someone particularly fond of it? I can't remember if someone was saving it all the time or if we just didn't nominate it Before the Alolan Trials it was never nominated. So no one was really targeting it
