I was indifferent to her on XFUS last year. I like her as a performer though. I actually wanted either Geri Halliwell or Anastacia to replace Kelly Rowland this year. I'll eventually check out Róisín Murphy's music. Lol, I only asked that because I noticed from your avatars and Last.fm page that you seem to enjoy many pop artists who aren't from North America. I found those Gary Barlow pictures on Tumblr and I just resized them, lol. The original pictures actually came from Gary's official Twitter account. I also prefer Robbie Williams by just a little, but out of a four-piece Take That, Gary is definitely my favorite. Robbie would also be on my dream XF panel with Gary. Idk who would be my other two. I'm also a fan of Ronan Keating, whose a judge on XFAU and his band Boyzone. What do you think of him and his band? Lmao, I'm not really watching the Olympics either, but I've watched the opening ceremony and am obviously going to watch the closing ceremony. Also, whose the woman in your avatar? I'm guessing she's a pop singer whose not from North America. Am I right??   LightYears Aug 1st 2012, 10:02 PM Yeah, I totally agree with you about Amelia and Nadine now that I think about it. I also think Nadine could have sang "You Bring Me Joy", if not for Amelia. Also agree about Nadine and Nicola's albums. Both were very good and I can't decide which one I prefer. I'm kind of indifferent to Cheryl tbh, but I really like "Call My Name". IMO, this year is a good time for them to reunite and lots of groups usually disband for awhile and reunite later. I'm not that familiar with Sugababes honestly, but I do like one of their songs "Push the Button" and it's cool that they collaborated with Girls Aloud on a cover of "Walk This Way". Interesting that original members are now a new group under their first names. Btw, I'm also looking forward to the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Summer Olympics later this month because Take That and Spice Girls are both performing. :woot:   LightYears Jul 30th 2012, 7:05 PM Yeah totally. Well, with my avatar I just resized the picture on another site, lol. I don't know how to make avatars or any kind of graphics actually. Don't have Photoshop. I also took those Kylie avatars from my signature from an avatars website. I read that Robbie had a crush on her ever since he watched her on an Australian soap opera called Neighbours. He also revealed in one of his biographies that he blew his chances with her when they shot the "Kids" music video because he drunkenly laughed at her when she took off her robe, lol. And no, it's not just you. I also think that they would have made a great couple. They were smokin' hot together in the "Kids" music video and when they performed the song live a few times. But he seems happily married to his wife Ayda Field and Kylie's dating a Spanish model named Andrés Velencoso. I'd totally love it if they would collaborate again though. Janet's performance of "Sweet Child o' Mine" was okay. Kind of odd. But yeah, she didn't need to make every performance of her's an Irish spiritual. You don't see Nadine Coyle doing that every time she sings, lol. Just giving an example. That's funny. I don't know how I would react if I ever met my favorite celebrities or if I were close to them. I don't think I'd want to, because I'm too shy. I don't think Kylie will tour again until maybe 1 or 2 years. I'm sure you'll get your chance to see her someday. I also prefer Kylie's catalogue of music to Madonna's, at least a little. The last time she came to Chicago was 2009, when she started touring North America. When she comes next time, go see her. She's a blast. Yeah, Janet had some good performances, but she wasn't a great contestant. I laughed though when you said that she turns every performance into an Irish spiritual, lol. I'm hoping that Amelia doesn't get shafted either. I don't care whether she's signed into a major or indie label. I just want her to get signed, period. God, it's such a joy to stan for both of them.   LightYears Feb 4th 2012, 10:51 PM You know, I always thought that Madonna was considered the queen of pop, but Kylie is definitely up there with her too IMO. Maybe we should call Kylie the Goddess of Pop. Yeah, even her weakest material still craps all over most mainstream music these days. I wish Kylie was still as big here in the States as she was back in the early 2000s. At least she has a big international career and she still has fanbase in North America. She is a great performer live though. I was so fortunate that I had the pleasure of seeing her in concert though during the past year. If she comes anywhere near you, you should jump at the chance. Btw, the only performance that I remotely liked from Janet's was "Kiss Me". Probably because it suited her voice so well, lol. I'm so glad that Amelia made the top 3 and hopefully she'll get a recording contract soon.   LightYears Feb 4th 2012, 10:17 PM Yeah, not every song is great on the Light Years album, but I love the song so much and of course can't forget about "Kids", her duet with the gorgeous Robbie Williams. Those are my two favorites on the album. It's still better than most music on Top 40 radio these days. Btw, my other favorite from XFUK8 is Amelia Lily. It's pretty funny that she was the first girl eliminated and she became the last girl standing. I'm glad that Frankie got disqualified so she could come back. Every performance of her's is above average and she never gave a bad performance IMO. I still need to catch up with the season, lol. I'm so behind. I know that you love Rebecca Ferguson's album and I'll check out her album when she releases it in the US. I do love her first single though, it's great. Sorry, that this is a little long.
