I noticed that Jessica's IWALY has been taken down/ set to private. Why? Are there any other videos that were taken down?

I don't get why they're doing this. They already removed past seasons. Is there some reason why they don't want us to be able to watch the performances? I was hoping that they would restore past performances, but apparently the opposite is happening.

Ridiculous. I can somewhat understand the whole 'copyright infringement blah blah blah' that's been applied to some videos in past seasons, but on the OFFICIAL American Idol YouTube channel consisting of HD quality videos with over 100 million views altogether? That makes no sense.

Plus, there's almost no action on their site at all due to their SUPER restrictive policies. God forbid you post up a non-authorized youtube link or link to another site, and they immediately ban you. Ridiculous.

WTF? That's really weird. Actually, some videos of past seasons are still up. But they're not with the AI account. The only reason I could think them taking the videos down is the "idol stigma" maybe. Like when Jessica and Phillip's album come out and people don't know anything about them and want to youtube them they won't have AI videos. Just tour performances, etc. I honestly don't know. That's weird

AI never had official past season videos until this year. The first year of the channel...that date joined bck in 2005 or 06 is not really right.
So, they didn't take them down. They were never up. They have been active in taking other uploaded down. But, mostly this season and s8. Though s8 has tried to get some back up and thy haven't been taken down. If they don't have a channel next year then I guess it was a failed experiment/idea. Until then, IDK. Seems very weird. Go after all seasons that aren't official don't let any get through. That's weird That doesn't make sense because the tour videos will still say "Idol Tour". Probably the sales thing, and maybe they're worried about people downloading the mp3s of the videos.
