I'm like 100% sure this is going to be one of the highlights of the album, and I think even without hearing it that it could be her breakthrough hit. It says on wikipedia that it will be released May 15th as her second single. Is this just a myth, or could it be accurate? shocked.gif

Ooooh I hope thats true! I think this will be the song to REALLY make Haley popular since it is with an established rapper. It will be like "Pricetag ft B.O.B." by Jessie J only better and more original, but thats the song that made her popular. Or Lady Gaga's first song "Just Dance" with Chris Brown, i think. That was the first time I heard her and now shes everywhere!

On her recent interview with Shirley Halperin for THR, Haley said that the lyrics/vibe to "Oh My" were sexy/sultry. And Shirley mentioned more than once how great she thought the song was haha.gif

When I go to that link I only see the video with Shirley and DiDi discussing last week's Idol and not Haley's interview, even though the article talks about Haley's interview.... ermm.gif

To see Haley's THR interview I go to this page
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/video/ido...-9-haley-317609

I wonder if anyone else sees that?

Just wondering because I appear to be experiencing Javascript/flash player issues so I'm now unsure if I'm seeing what others are seeing.... unsure.gif

Just Dance was Gaga and Colby O'Donis. thumbsup.gif

I really hope this song lives up to the high expectations. I know it will be good regardless but I want it to be great. original.gif

To be honest I hope it's just a myth because I'm hoping for 'Now That You're Here' or 'Hit The Ground Runnin' for single number two, but having never heard 'Oh My' it's hard to really say. I think my concern is that 'Oh My' may be too, I don't know the exact word I'm looking for, bold or risque maybe, plus I'm not into rap at all. But like I said, having never heard it, it's really hard to say one way or the other.

That is not quite what wikipedia says. What wikipedia says is:
QUOTE
Reinhart announced on April 29, 2012 that her next single on the debut album "Listen Up!" would be "Oh My", which is to be released on May 15, 2012.

Where is Haley's announcement from yesterday?

I hope "Oh My" is a hit but I hope the biggest hit from the album is just a Haley tune.

This is definitely the #1 song I'm looking forward to. The way she described it as swampy, slinky, and a New Orleans feel makes me feel like she went back to her House of the Rising Sun roots for it.

That is not quite what wikipedia says. What wikipedia says is:

Exactly-all it says is that Haley made an announcement on April 29-which is actually a Sunday-and anyway how likely is it that anyone would announce something like that on a Sunday?

Its Wikipedia.Just for the heck of it I've been keeping an eye on what they have for sales for Free for the last few days.In the last 4 days its gone from 82,000 to 65,000 to 79,000-and now its actually at 199,000. ermm.gif

What's wrong with her breakthrough single being one with a featured artist? Lady Gaga, Jordin Sparks (unless you count Tattoo), fun, Gotye, heck even B.o.B himself all had a featured artist in their breakthrough hit. If Oh My is her best song, then wouldn't you want it to be her biggest single, regardless of who's featured in it?

Personally, B.o.B's my favorite rapper so I'm ecstatic (and still in shock tbh) that they're doing a song together. I want to hear it NOW!!! giggle.gif

But like I said, having never heard it, it's really hard to say one way or the other.

Shirley Halperin singled out "Oh My!" for its greatness in that interview and almost showing a blase, uninterested attitude towards "Free". I think this bodes well for Haley's hit-making ability for a song Haley essentially had free reign over (Haley had to pick "Free" while on tour so she was pigeonholed a bit on what she was actually able to make of it) and B.o.B IS blowing up right now, so anything with him attached is a definite positive whether hip-hop is a genre we like or not.

Haley's team have to be thinking a long-term game here. It's not the song that we Haliens think is best. But what has hit potential, cross-over appeal, and marketability buzz. Haley does need a breakout hit. And from the looks of it, the odds are most definitely positioned in favor of "Oh My!"

Hey, did you get to listen to B.O.B's new album yet? Just came out today, but I've been listening to the leaked version for a week already.. an insanely good album. I haven't heard a track on it yet I didn't like.

I'm intrigued enough about this song just from Haley's description of the music. But having someone like BoB's name attatched to it only adds to the anticipation of what this can do for her in terms of reaching a wider audience.

This. Was disappointed to not hear the song opening this thread

I'm eagerly anticipating this song. It could be what makes Haley huge. B.o.B. is a big name with big credibility & his album dropped today so he's hot as of now. I hope the collab does alot of good for Haley

Plus the description of sexy & steamy makes me very interested. A hot romantic song from Haley = smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif

Don't know if the rumor of it being the next single is true, but it should be

I'm kinda "eh" about "Oh My". It probably will the the most commercially successful song off the album but rarely are those my favorite songs off any Album. "Wonderland" the one that everyone says has no chance on Radio is my fav so far for instance:)
