Good. But a bit too whiny. Bit cliche. When you start whining like that I suddenly stop caring and want to listening to something more interesting. You have the foundation though.

Although your reply wasn't overly positive, I appreciate even just getting a reply! So far you're the only one.

I think the style of the song is kinda that Bubble-gum POP (which I don't usually do) so I think maybe that's where the "whiny" vocals creep in. I mean, David Archuleta's songs have that same style of "whining", as you call it. Again, I think it has to do with the kind of song that it is.

Dude I think you're great..absolutely love your lower register! Maybe a few too many "tonight"s in the chorus, but otherwise good. I would love you to sing something from The Script. You have a youtube?

Actually, yes I do. We just posted a video of our cover of Let It Be by The Beatles. We made it more ballady/sadder sounding. Also check out my cover of House of the Rising Sun - That one has been getting a few views lately on youtube!

Your covers sound so great! I'm really jealous of how contemporary your voice sounds! And how easily you utilize your falsetto. Great job on both of them. I really don't have anything negative to say!

No, I've always wanted voice lessons, though. I still want some because I feel like I am damaging my voice by not singing with proper technique...and I've notice I have a lot of tension in my jaw and tongue when I belt, which is really bad for the vocal chords. Some days I can barely sing without cracking...so I think I've already started damaging my voice.

Thanks. My falsetto actually only really came in for me quite recently...I went a long while without being able to do it...I think it's mostly because my voice was in the process of changing and stuff.

I'm the exact same way. When I finish singing my throat always kills. I've been told that it means you're using the wrong muscles when you sing. If your adam's apple raises when you sing high notes, you're doing something wrong. Mine pretty much goes through my throat You already have an amazing voice though.

I'm constantly impressed by your originals! They are so clear and so strong for being from an unsigned artist/writer. It sounds really good and once again, definitely something I can hear David Archuleta singing

My only complaint really this time around is that a couple vocal spots sounded a little odd to me, particularly right at the beginning, around 0:18 on "we're not the same". The pitches on "same" sounded weird to me, but you got back on it right away. I think you ended that moment on a good pitch, but the traveling down was a little awkward, if that makes any sense at all

Other than that it is a really strong song you've got

Thanks for the input. At that specific moment I purposely sang it that way to try to make it "unique" or "orginal". I'm glad you told me it sounds off because sometimes I can get so wrapped up in the song that I lose track of what sounds good and what doesn't to other listeners. Sometimes when you hear something so often you become immune to it and it just sounds "right" because that's the way you've heard it every time while writing the song.
