Fantasia has tweeted that she has recorded 5 songs. Whether those 5 songs will make the final cut or not is a different story. Also, she thinks the project should be done this year.

• One song is called 'Kiss Kiss Bang Bang'- with a London feel
• There's a song with a Reggae feel
• They're trying for 12 songs on the CD
• Wants to have an exclusive with Target or Walmart with Bonus songs
• A lot of people at the label are excited with what they've heard
• Brian wants to make sure the album is Promoted well, US and Internationally
• Promo to coincide with Lusters campaign
• International promo and showcases-looking into Specials

Sounds very exciting. Never really pictured Fantasia doing adele/amy winehouse type stuff. She needs another gold album to remain on the label so I hope they *DO* promote it well. I figured she'd always do a gospel crossover album, not blues.

Love the title of the New Album, this is gonna be good



The single will appear on Barrino’s upcoming fourth studio album, The Side Effects of You.
“My whole album I wrote with one guy out of London, his name is Harmony. I didn’t want to flip flop and be everywhere because a lot of times, with my other albums, I’ve worked with different producers, great producers. But this time, I just wanted to stick with one person so that we can just have an album that has one sound and everybody is on the same page,” she said.
The Side Effects of You also represents a particularly significant milestone for Barrino: her first time writing songs. “I just wanted so bad to do something like that and I thank the record company, RCA, for allowing me to finally be able to do that on this album,” she said. The Side Effects of You will drop March 13.
