I wasn't sure if I was going to continue watching The Voice Season 2 since I had some other shows I needed to watch. Seeing and hearing her made me want to stay for the rest of the season. It's all finally sinking in. I don't have a job, I left school...and yet I'm the happiest I've been in years. I'm finally pursuing what I always wanted. Its indescribably freeing. Blind auditions were a trip. I just remember climbing up the steps of the stage thinking "don't be scared, this is awesome, don't be scared this is awesome" but as soon as I took the stage all I could think was....wow....I'm scared. I'm starting to realize from all this that being scared isn't the worst thing. Backing down from what you're afraid of is the worst thing. So I guess this means I'm done backing down, and I couldn't be more happy. I was told before blind auditions that I should go out there with an open mind and choose the coach that I feel at that exact moment is right for me, if I was given the chance to choose. That's exactly what I did! Even though Christina Aguilera is the farthest from my genre of singing, she understood me very well. She really impressed me and caught my wavelength with what I was trying to do and I couldn't be happier. I have to say I'm a bit intimidated, but I think that she is such an amazing singer and artist I'm bound to learn a lot. All of the coaches were fantastic though and gave such great input, it was a heartbreaking decision to make. especially since I'm a fan of all of their work. Hi, I'm Lindsey. I'm 22 and I live to play music. I grew up listening to stuff like Nirvana, Radiohead, Incubus, Foo Fighters, and Fiona Apple. I play garage rock music out here in Sacramento, and I'm stoked to bring it to the show. Best, Lindsey --------------------
