^I agree with you, she would bring in viewers, and also there is the unpredictability of how she would act on there that would make it interesting. We'll see if Simon can pull this off

I honestly wouldn't mind Britney but she'd have to be the fearless outspoken Britney I once knew. These days it doesn't sound like she's speaking, singing or dancing for herself, as if she's doing it only because she has to.

i hope Britney is not a judge . some of her songs are catchy but i really dislike her singing voice and don't think she can tell others they can't sing.

I'm not even going to lie, I really hope that Britney gets signed on for this! I think it would be great for her for a number of reasons. It would showcase her in a more personal light to America, show them that she's a normal person and she's not just some celebrity. It will show what she can do as a mentor and it could potentially gain her some cred as a musician and even a performer (even though she's already got credibility there). And hopefully maybe seeing these people singing and working so closely with Simon, she'll be motivated to going back to REALLY singing once her contract with Jive is up. I would love to see her go somewhere else and showcase her voice with another label (maybe Simon's? ) Anyways, that's all wishful thinking

But in all seriousness, I think she would be a great judge. At first I was skeptical, but then when I thought about it...Simon has said tons of times that this is not a singing show. It's about the X Factor. That "thing" that is unnamed that someone has which makes them a star. You're not necessarily looking for the best singer, but for a whole package that can be a star. Britney has been one of the biggest stars for the past 10 years, and even after a year of no music and going off the deep end she managed to make a really great comeback. Even when she's not fully on her A-game, people love her because she's just Britney. That's the X Factor. She's got it. She knows how to make it long term in this industry.

I think it would be good for her and the show. Especially If the show could get a known vocalist as the 4th judge-then they would have the whole scene covered.

But at the end of the day all the big names were probably just hype.

Why do you doubt it? All signs are pointing to her getting the job.... There's even an article stating that Simon officially made her an offer.

No real reason. She (and most of the rumored ladies) just seem too big to judge. I fear it's just hype. Though I would love for Britney to want to be on Xfactor and for the show to want her. She did say she wanted to go in a different direction than her music and experiment in that interview I posted. Though the host and she were talking movies, that might mean she would be up to doing something different like Xfactor. Maybe. I'm not getting my hopes up though
