Simon started hinting about moving UKXF back in November, when the ratings wren't looking great. ITV wants Simon back on the show, but is very resistant to UKXF moving to winter/spring. Another factor would be The Voice-UK, running winter/spring on BBC1.

I had a feeling he might want to go back on the show, I think it needed him last season. Just hope he doesn't move XF USA, it doesn't have a built-in audience yet like the UK show does.

If XFUK was moved to the Spring, I don't know how I'd ever get a break for those 5 months.

I always said that bringing Paula in was a mistake and would people would just assume it is Idol 2.0. Simon should have had Cheryl beside him as she basically played the same role as Paula.

Def agree. Have to keep your tv girlfriends in their separate corners. Paula is AI. Cheryl is XF. Having bot in the same table was not going to work.

He also just said this season it will be more about the contestants, so maybe he means it like that --------------------

 that would definitely be entertaining. Idol used to show clips of the contestants in the mansion and stuff, but now they don't show much of that.--------------------

XFUS is having auditions in Austin (
), and while it's exciting for me to finally live in a city where auditions take place and I have a car, I really don't feel up for auditioning again.  I auditioned last year in LA, and maybe the first-season chaos had something to do with it, but the experience was SO long and disorganized. I was there for 15 hours, and the thought of repeating that is incredibly unappealing.This year I could probably get a wristband much earlier, though. The audition venue is close to where I work. ;] --------------------

It just seems incredible to me that there are thousands and thousands of people that keep showing up to audition every year at all of these places for all of these shows. Are there that many people who are talented enough to actually qualify for AI, X Factor, The Voice, etc. or are we just getting a lot of watered down people by now. Is this why the age limit keeps getting lower and lower or higher and higher? And now it doesn't matter if you are already under contract.
My main point probable be is the talent pool is getting very small after so many years of talent competion. What are the chances of finding a Kelly Clarkson again? --------------------
