Kris' Charitable Campaigns Options

Kris has been generous in lending his name and support to various charities (I've lost count how many) so this thread will be devoted to all his charitable efforts.

Here's a new philantrophy effort that Kris is involved in: "Tools for the Classroom" from DonorsChoose.org.

To bolster their efforts, partner Clear Channel Radio will air a three-month celebrity-studded radio campaign, featuring Allen and others, 850 radio stations, reaching millions of potential donors, while Chase and other partners have agreed to match each donation up to $50, for a total commitment of $250,000.

The "Tools for Classrooms" effort is a three-month radio campaign that will air nationally on 850 radio stations and reach 238 million monthly U.S. listeners from January 18 through April 8, 2012. A series of more than 300,000 radio spots will feature celebrities and recording artists including Ryan Seacrest, Kelly Clarkson, Chris Daughtry, J.R. Martinez, Pitbull, LMFAO, Gym Class Heroes, Kris Allen and others to encourage listeners to contribute to DonorsChoose.org and learn more about how to address the lack of educational supplies in our nation’s public schools.

Kris' recently completed project (Grow a Mustache for a Good Cause) through Music Empowers Foundation to help raise funds for DonorChoose.org was a huge success.

The Music Empowers Foundation announced today that its recently completed national initiative to support music education programs in public schools surpassed all expectations. The month-long program, which wrapped up just before the holidays in December, raised $80,000 and helped to fund over 225 classroom music projects which will benefit an estimated 47,000 grade and middle school students.
