How can anybody say what kind of winner they want? Shouldn't it be who deserves it the most based on talent? I guess I will let you know once the show begins

That's who I want. But, michr, I agree, we should say what type of contestant do we want not what type of winner. Who cares who wins it. Someone with his or her own, unique style. Someone who, when you listen to them, you don't think, "Hey, he/she sounds exactly like ______!" Songwriting skill is a plus.

It is nonsense to say to vote for the most talented singer, there is a lot more to it than (singing)talent, and what pleases one persons ear might not please anothers. a female with a powerful voice . sort of a toss between winners like Jordin from Idol and Melanie from X Factor and also Pia . hip hop based female who can sing and rap would be alright as well . also a male R&B based singer from the smoothness of Ruben to anything like Elliott, Anoop or Stefano would be good as well .

Gender doesn't matter too much to me. I like bluesy, soulful voices that can hit the high notes when needed, but don't rely on that all the time. I prefer the lower vocal range for regular listening.
