This is the demo for Adam Lambert's supposed debut single from his 2nd album, "Trepassing"-



No where, no how, can this song be turned into a hit single. What do others think?

I think the demo is awful. If this isn't changed up so that it sounds completely different, Adam is screwed.

It's very suspicious to me- it was rumored six months ago this demo was going to make it on the album as a song- we heard it a long time ago- they push the album back to make it 'better' but the first single is the same damn song we heard six months ago. I'm cynical by nature but I wonder if they are forcing this to be the first single because of their relationship with Claude Kelly and they just don't care about Adam anymore- or god forbid, the rest of the material is actually worse than this and this is actually the best out of the litter.

Demo - Demo' are sung by other artists and then the artists listens to a bunch of demos before singing it themselves. Now they may create a demo of themselves singing it this is more b/c it was in consideration to be on the album but was left off in favor of others.

Ex Rachel Proctor, Zac Malloy and David Hodges write the song "The Middle".

Rachel Proctor sings it and makes that a demo to be sent to record companies to be bought for one of their Artists.

A record company buys it and shops it around.

Eventually, Lauren Alaina hears it and loves and ends up recording it for her own album.


So no it isn't Adam singing it. What we are hearing is the Rachel Proctor demo of the Adam storyline.


This needs much better production but that's granted it is just a demo.

Ok This needs major work way too much there is like nothing useful here.

I don't think it's that bad. With proper production it could do well.

Yeah, I just read an article where he says it'll be fast-paced. I will reserve further judgement until I hear the actual single.

Nothing announced by Adam or RCA. Just some chatter by a few radio DJ's about some "news" the end of the week. May just be an announcement of a release date. No one knows.

Adam tweeted Tuesday night that there would be news about the single anyday. Jim Cantiello from MTV also spoke with Claude Kelly prior to the X-Factor taping last night and asked him about the single. Claude said that it sounds nothing like the demo and that we would forget the demo once we heard it.
