With Chicago, New York, Nashville, and Atlanta audition cities already happening, I was wondering if anyone had found any news on Season 2 and the contestants?

Hmm, Seems weird that it says she's working on a record deal, but that she's auditioning as well

As for Sarah, that is really weird that she's finalizing a record deal and auditioning... She sounds pretty good though. With the right song I think she'd make it pretty easily. That picture made me think she was gonna be a rocker though for some reason. Like a Kelly Clarkson kind of pop/rocker

I've got two songs picked out, one for my main song and one for if they ask for another. My first song is "Remind Me" by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, and my second song is "One Last Time" by Kellie Pickler. Yeah I know they are kinda random

I didn't make the cut, but they were cutting TONS of people! You audition in a group of 10, and none of the other 9 people I auditioned with made it either. I wonder how it went for TreeFroggieFreak

I didn't make it either, but the second I opened my mouth I knew I didn't deserve to make it I started my song a whole step too high and while it didn't go out of my range, it put me at the top of my range in some parts which didn't allow me to really have wiggle room for anything impressive vocally.

Two of my friends who were auditioning as a duo got a callback, but they were cut at the callback this morning.

Just because you don't get past the first round doesn't mean you aren't talented enough. There are countless people on Idol who had to audition multiple times to actually do anything. Jordin Sparks had to audition twice and she won after the second time she auditioned. Among other contestants who had to audition for the show multiple times are Vonzell Solomon, Clay Aiken, Haley Reinhart, Pia Toscano, Gina Glocksen, just to name a few. Not getting through the first round does not indicate that someone isn't talented and getting past the first round doesn't necessarily indicate that someone is more talented.

Then again I'm used to you making rude, trolling comments by now.

Well said, and for the record...I know they said "Don't say who" but....I never have trash talked Javier, I actually thought he was one of the most talented people there. Dia...yeah once or twice because I just didn't understand the fascination with her voice. But it's just like you said. It's really about what they are looking for that year and stuff, not how talented someone is. They gave my group a line about how we were great but the bar was set so high last year so they weren't gonna put anyone through and they hope to see us next year. Did they tell you that?

BTW, That's awesome that your friends made the callbacks, even getting cut in the first round. I bet it's really exciting just being given that next shot
