It is really interesting I didn't realize it was that restricted, pretty good that Casey can play the guitar the way he does.

Hmmm...That's pretty remarkable, actually. The left is his chording hand (and wrist) so Casey apparently had to figure out how to compensate for his lack of rotation and flexibility in his left wrist in order to be able to play at all. That and his hand/fingers are big/long enough for him to be able to reach over the strings rather than flexing his wrist to stretch around the neck of the guitar. This explains how it is still painful for him to play. I wanna watch closer to see exactly how he compensates now that he's explained and showed his limitations.

I also get Casey's past comment about how he'd have figured how to play with his feet if the injuries had disabled his hands. Makes me really wonder why he didn't just switch-over and start playing left-handed because the fused wrist would have actually been a non-issue for strumming or picking; there's supposed to be a straight line from the elbow to the hand when strumming. Could be he's just really right-dominant (I am, too) and it was just too hard. Also caught his remark about having started playing too soon and having to have another surgery to fix the damage he did there. Hard-headed, that one...(I can say that because, as they say, "if you spot it, you got it").

Yah, it'll be interesting to see this-time-next-year where Casey is in the pantheon of Country Music stars. Hope and pray his album turns Nashville up-side-down and he at least has multiple noms.

But this Sony class picture is a hoot, regardless. Even big-time companies make lame group photos, huh?

I hate to be catty, but there is an elephant in the Country Music living room taking a massive dump. Am I the only one who was mortified for Carrie Underwood in her choice of outfits for the actual CMA broadcast? Something is most seriously broke in her management because with few exceptions these images will come back to haunt the typically flawless Ms. Underwood. It's sad that she #1 allowed a stylist to pick all those hideous "looks", #2 wore them on national TV, and #3 wore the most gawd-awful one to have her class picture made in... My top 3 Worst were: 1 - this fedora + shorts white-girl-gangsta outfit, someone please tell her Kristian Bush called and wants his look back; 2 - the black & red dress with the 80's black shoulder-pad-like wide ribbon-candy effect in a V from shoulder to cleavage, and 3- the wa-a-a-a-ay too "architectural" white napkin-folded cocktail dress - with a bustier with a mind of its own - she opened the show in. The only thing that could possibly make it any worse is if Carrie didn't have a stylist and made her own fashion calls.

I expect the Fashion Police will have a field day with Carrie. And Miranda's spray-tan and gravity-defying decolletage.

The only thing with Carrie U. is she presents like a marketing product--the legs are her selling point so there they are, front and center, all the time! She has a good voice and looks nice, but I find her vocals lacking subtley. My least favorite of the big country singers. I wish she'd show up in ratty hair and jeans with an acoustic guitar and strip it down a bit.

That girl at the top of the page is too too cute. Overall Casey looks like he's having a blast. And the only one of the Top three from Season 9 not dropped from his label. He was born under a lucky star, that one. (unlucky accidents notwithstanding.)
