Since Jeff has been getting back into the swing of things with solo shows, I thought I'd start a thread. Any other fans?

^Yeah, I wish he'd play some dates closer to me. And if not, at least play some better, well known venues. The closest he's playing to me is 3 hours away. And it's at some church that I've read has no air conditioning and a really bad sound system.

Yeah, wow, I just looked at the dates, and they make no sense.
 Most of them are churches... he could definitely do better than that. And they're in weird, kind of random places. I think I could come up with a better tour schedule than that.  But then there are random great places thrown in. Like Town Hall in NYC?  I don't get it, lol. The closest to me is about three hours too, but everything is that far from me, so for me, three hours IS close. lol. They're all sold out though.--------------------

Yeah, I don't get it either. Maybe it's his way of playing and still staying out of the spotlight so to say. I was thinking about going, but the bad venue, distance, and sketchy area it's in made me decide not to. I'm probably going to end up regretting it. Who knows if he's going to keep playing shows or if he stops after this tour?

I just know "In the Aeroplane over the Sea." What one album would you recommend?

A lot of artists like playing them for their acoustics, and I guess it's a sombre atmosphere that works for the right kind of music (Low recorded their most recent album in a church). "In The Aeroplane Over the Sea" is their classic album and their best one, so I'd definitely check that one out first. It's also a little bit more accessible than "On Avery Island." I agree that Aeroplane is probably a better album to start with, but they're both great. So unlike anything else I've ever heard. It's just something about the whole mood his music creates overall... I don't know how to describe it. King of Carrot Flowers, part 1...
Actually I love pretty much every song on both albums. lol.--------------------
