A mash-up duet of Siobhan Magnus' powerfully beautiful studio version of House of the Rising Sun, togeher with Haley's equally beautiful, but sensuously, languidly sexy studio version of HOTRS, would certainly be awesome, and a keeper of an MP3, if it worked.
Are the tempos and instrumentation too different? Both are AI's "house" studio musicians, of course; both are sung slowly; and both even open a cappella... an arrangement idea Sheryl Crowe pretty obviously lifted from Sio last year. Maybe the styles are just too different, I dunno. But what a gorgeous contrast-in-vocals duet that might be in a single recording, if such a mash-up could be done. eta: Oh sorry, forgot to state the obvious: I agree with everyone else, the Haley/Adele "duet" is very awesome. eta: D'oh! I forgot. There is no studio version of Siobhan's HOTRS, dammit. Her first studio version was the next week, Paint It Black. There's just the live version from the show. She performed in on Ellen, too... and I think that's a little longer, like Haley's HOTRS was longer on Regis & Kelly, compared to her live AI version. But the Ellen soundtrack probably isn't high quality enough. Maybe Sio's live AI version has enough to work with... maybe mix that with Haley's live AI version? ^ I feel like Adele's high notes during the chorus sound forced (a little bit like as if she were constipated or something
) and Haley's high notes sound much more pleasant. I also like the phrasing choices Haley made. --------------------

 LOL @ people saying Haley did better. Only Haley fans would say this. Well some as I consider myself a Haley fan as well. I love both of them, but let's get real. Lovely duet though. I really enjoyed it. Tbh, Haley sounds way more like Duffy than Adele. Before the pitchforks come, Haley was my second favorite of the season and I even voted for her a couple of times when she performed "Bennie and the Jets" and "House of the Rising Sun."  -------------------- REST IN PEACE DAD. I prefer Haley's version over Adele's. Dunno why, but I don't get the hype about Adele. I like her music, but that's just it, nothing very special to me. All a matter of taste I guess.
