Well many radio stations didn't play Scotty, so I wonder if I should prepare for very little radio play from his Christmas album too? The guy specifically mentions LA and Blake, but obviously not Scotty. These PD's simply think much too highly of themselves.

That's correct. The anonymous PD was basically referring that they only play Christmas music from artists who are currently popular.

I looked up what Christmas music radio stations have been playing the last few years. They match what this radio PD is saying. The last few years they have been playing Lady A, Taylor Swift, Luke Bryan, The Band Perry, etc. Many of the artists being played during Christmas are currently played a lot on radio normally. There was very few music from Alan Jackson, King George, Reba, etc. Basically, it's just like current radio they are only playing the popular artists & not playing really anyone else.
