Figure8, you may be right . . . it was simply what came to my mind. There are similarities, such as the chord progression, as I indicated, but the more I think of it, I am not quite sold on it myself. Listening to it, I think I know exactly what you are feeling/hearing, and it will bug me now and gnaw at me until I figure it out myself (sort of like when I am trying to remember a name, and I start going through the alphabet from A-Z and won't stop until I land on the correct name). For me (I am sure like you), it's right there -- on the tip of my brain.

Goes in bursts. Truthfully, mostly multitasking and responding, so very little realtime. Only a little bit requires real attention. And yes, fast & some checking is automated. Then again I'm doing stuff when i shouldn't be a lot . (The tour stuff was the one that took way too much time; that got ridiculous. Good thing was that others were searching out stuff as well which helped a lot).

I vaguely hear it in I Will Survive but then I listen closely and i think I'm nuts.

Oh. I had forgotten about this.
You may be correct about the similarities.
Unfortunately, what I'm vaguely remembering/hearing is not just a chord progression. It's also the cadence, rhythm and I think tone. Example from :15-35. I still can't remember! And I may be mixing two songs in there. Drives me crazy.

The more I listen to it though, the more it's taking on its own identity so I may never figure this out.

"Wasted tears" also appears in the song Wasted by Wanda Jackson. It is a country song, although Wanda was an original rocker girl. Adele cites her as an influence and she is in the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame. She dated Elvis before he hit the big time, and she says he told her she should try singing Rock and Roll like he was.

The album is still a few months out so not too surprised at that, but am curious about the big announcements. Probably Top 10 week on Idol if I had to guess.

I expect nonstop Haley public appearances for the next 2 months leading up to the album release.

It's still early but it actually looks like Interscope is prepared to invest a lot of time/money into promoting Haley... I am so amped up for the upcoming weeks...

Don't get me wrong, I'm as Happy as can be about this near perfect roll out for Haley...

Selfishly, the result of how well this is all happening and the over the top positive reaction, means that good tickets will be harder to get, and at bigger venues. I expected a good roll out, but this has become beyond good, at a faster rate than I had dreamed.

I'm just going to have to make an extra effort to see her ASAP, while the venues are still relatively small, and before she really blows up into the stratosphere, and belongs to the world.

On the other hand, it's a good problem to have

Next Wed she plays the Lumiere Theater in St, Louis. Sounds like it is all Haley. No glitter, no glam, and no other bands. Which must mean an expanded set, probably with her band. I think it seats up to 450 people depending on how it is set up. Anybody going? Could be a one in a lifetime chance.

ETA: Sorry, according to the Y98 webstite "you can't buy tickets for this event" but you can win them.
