It won't be canceled, and we won't find out until the end of this season (we will be getting a full 1st season) whether or not it's been renewed for a 2nd season. It's too soon to tell.

If anyone wants to make a SMASH siggy for me plz go ahead...make sure to include 10/9 central NBC.

Tonight's episode was the best yet! And "Watching Smash" trended on twitter for the entire hour it was on the East Coast. Unfortunately, they're not putting Kat's Rumor Has It on itunes.

Some interesting ratings news about the pilot!
QUOTE The Live + 7 Day DVR ratings are in for the week of the pilot (Feb 6-12) from tvbythenumbers Under "Largest 18-49 Ratings Increase from DVR Viewing for Broadcast TV Shows", the Smash pilot got a 5.0 rating in the 18-49 demo for Live + 7 Day, up 32% from 3.8 under Live + Same Day. In comparison H50 got a 3.7 vs its usual 2.7 for L+SD and Castle wasn't on that list (but another list down below seems to indicate it rose to a 2.9 from 2.0). Under "Largest Viewership Increase", the pilot went from 11.442 million for L+SD to 14.524 million under L+7D, an increase of 36%. H50 went up to 13.081 million and Castle went up to 11.851 million. So with Live + 7 Day factored in, the pilot still won its timeslot.  --------------------

What did you guys think of last night's episode? I hated Ivy, she was such a bitch to Karen. At least the directors begin to favor Karen in the preview for next week. Also, does anyone else think that Ivy/Megan Hilty looks so much like Candice Cameron (DJ from Full House)?

7% increase in the ratings over last week.
 Smash placed 3rd behind Castle and the Daytona 500 (which was originally supposed to air on Sunday ), but it beat Castle in the demo. It wins among Castle and 5-0 in 100+k income viewers still by a good amount. More good news: 5-0 and Castle are in repeats next week!  --------------------
