Fever Dog would be cool  But maybe not identifiable or melodic enough for GQ Public  PLEASE no Mrs. Robinson  Casey James got ribbed on enough for that song choice last year, and after Ryan made that stupid pin joke (Jaguar/cougar) joke the other week, we don't need more fuel on that fire  America would be AWESOME!  OR, since he didn't do it on Elton John Week, here's his chance to do Tiny Dancer!  Although a THIRD Elton John song in the competition might be overkill I dunno about Simple Man....get all the Lee fans aboard the Haterz bus...like it NEEDS more people aboard!  And ugh...the people who are tweeting ANYONE of the contestants, whether it's Paul or Stefano, or ANYONE, saying they should've gone instead of Pia that is just CRUEL. It's one thing if you think that and it's your opinion, or to even state it in a discussion on a board such as this, but to tweet it DIRECTLY to that contestant like that is just a whole new level of LOW  --------------------

Since Paul is asking for song suggestions, I think he should sing the song from the movie "Rocky", the song "Eye of The Tiger" was a huge hit for Survivor. Here they sang it on Dancing With The Stars. Paul's voice would fit very well.

What if Paul just blows off our suggestions and chooses some obscure song from an independent film like how Kris did?
Kinda OT but I loved Falling Slowly. It made me a Kris fan. So does the theme include soundtracks that have previously released songs on them? If so then I think anything from Almost Famous or Forrest Gump soundtracks. Both have most excellent tunes on them.

If Paul chooses some obscure little known song and all the other contestants choose songs that are well known and were big hits, he will lose an opportunity to win new fans and will lose some old fans. The voting audience wants to be reminded of memories they have of the time they heard these songs from the MOVIES. Paul can do all his obscure little known songs later, after his time in the competition is over.

i'm certain he doesn't know anything about idol history -- neither do i...i've watched, but haven't been into it like this year -- so if he needs to know that he shouldn't do a certain song, you should tweet him....he did actually ask for help this week.

Iris is awesome for him. Kiss From A Rose, too, or if he wanted to go uptempo, Two Princes by Spin Doctors
But since he was uptempo last week, it would make sense for him to take it down. I just think this song kind of goes with his style. But I'm still hoping for the epic ballad with piano.  However, something upbeat seems to please the audience. I think in the beginning, they counted on him to be the "feel good" moment in the show. They all smiled. Maybe he should latch onto that.
