The dark and sleek clip, directed by Justin Coloma, has a retro-modern feel, with Blake making a digital connection with one woman while the switchboard operator, who's listening in on the conversation, gets worked up, too. DJ Dan appears as a telecommunications-company administrator. "Being surrounded by two beautiful all women was really nice," says Blake, who knows Dan from the Seattle dance scene. The only problem: The set was insanely hot. "It felt like it was 120 degrees inside that booth. It was all lit up and no ventilation." The track, which originally appeared on DJ Dan's 2010 Future Retro album, is a remake of a chart-topping 1985 R&B hit for Midnight Star. "That was one of the records I really loved growing up, and one of the first records I ever started mixing with," says Dan, who has done remixes for the likes of Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas and Janet Jackson. "We didn't want to just re-do just for the sake of it, we wanted to do it respectfully but give it a twist." --------------------
