What a fantastic opportunity for Danny! Taylor Swift Adds Opening Acts to North American Tour March 3, 2011 Taylor Swift has added numerous opening acts to her North American tour dates, with new artists such as Frankie Ballard ("Tell Me You Get Lonely") and Danny Gokey ("My Best Days Are Ahead of Me") appearing at select shows. Hunter Hayes, Josh Kelley, Randy Montana, James Wesley and Charlie Worsham will also appear on the tour. At each show, one or two of the newcomers will perform a brief set prior to Needtobreathe, a rock band that will open all shows on Swift's North American tour which launches May 27 in Omaha, Neb. I'll post more videos as they come in. The first show was last night. The concert was sold out--52,000 people showed up. This is probably the best thing that could happen for Danny's career. His and Taylor's are both similar (pop-country) so I can see a lot of Taylor fans becoming Danny fans from his opening appearances. Danny got a great reception, with people really getting into his set, from what I've heard. This is the biggest stage he's been on since the season 8 Idols tour.
