David no longer with Jive Options

Even though I love David, I can't see him doing an album like Stripped.

Why not? Stripped was a mature mix of pop, soul, r'n'b with latino and rock influences. Fits exactly the stuff Archie said he listens to and loves. Christina fans' didn't see her doing anything like Stripped back in her America's sweetheart teenybopper days either, yet she did. But I didn't mean it in exact-genre replica anyway. I meant it in highly personal record sense.

If you mean close and personal, maybe. I mean TOSOD was more personal than his first album but he still held back IMO.

I think he's just a private person and likes to keep his situations to himself. Linda Perry is amazing, but she needs the artists to be open and vulnerable. Not be scared or shy.

No, she's the one that opens people. Christina is a very closed person. She takes lots of time to trust people. Linda earned her trust, only then she was able to be open.

Christina knew what kind of record she wanted Stripped to be and knew the material well. I don't know if David would like those type of sounds, but you never know. Linda figured out that Christina was very guarded and held a lot of depression inside of her. I know Linda opens artists up but they have to be willing to also. I would love for David to work with her though.

Nothing changed: Jive was already doing jack crap and management was a crazy woman in menopause tweeting.

Notice how Melinda and Jive have escaped any criticism for the low sales? How bad must WEG have been that David would prefer no management rather than WEG. I totally don't believe WEG was even close to getting David a tour. They could not even set up a fan club! And how long have they been talking about the tour in Asia? Good riddance.

How professional is it that David has not released an official statement regarding this.... Instead he tweets about birthdays like nothing is happening. Although I think it is a positive thing that he is released from Jive's clutches, David needs to take command of his career at this point and make a public statement.

And David may be ready to do it too. He already said his next album will be much more serious. Christina and Pink weren't ready to open till their early 20s, so it's not like I expected David to do it in his teens, but he's 20 now.

Seriously, though, I'd guess that he's feeling a little bit down right now and wants to wait 'til he's in a better mindset and can phrase his words as carefully as possible.

You should be patient. He can't just do a statement without being sure what to say or his plans. I know everyone wants to know what's happening but he needs to figure it out first.

WEG was not responsible for the low sales ! they were invited to the party very late and they did what they can under the circunstances, a tour take time to be planned, is not like the places are disponibles just because is David, and we can don't like Melinda, but at this point i just think that he dropped his management because Jive dropped him and in his mind he don't need them now, and tbh i'm not sure if that was a good move at his time, he could still doing a tour if he has a management team in my opinion, but he chose to not do it or maybe (i hope) he has a replacement for that part of his career already what would be a nice surprise.

Now Jive, yeah we can blame them for the low sales, lack of promo and because they neglected the all era without give it the opportunity to bright with a single promoted in a proper way and David in part is responsible too because he don't pick his management team with time enough to try to control the damage caused by Jive .
