X Factor's Aiden Grimshaw makes the cover of Gay Times






X Factor star Aiden Grimshaw has appeared on the cover the of most recent issue of the Gay Times.

The 19-year-old shows off his toned body as he poses with his shirt off.

Discussing his trademark style, he told the magazine: "Although the hair is on my head, the quiff was an accident.

"Merely a brushing of the hair. It was just me being lazy. But it stuck..."

Asked if he realised what a hunk he was, Aiden shyly replied: "I don't know. It's flattering. Thank you is all I can say to that."

Meanwhile, Aiden has admitted that he would love to record a duet with X Factor winner Matt Cardle.

Speaking to Digital Spy, Aiden said: "It's not something we've spoken about formally but I'd love to do it."

He joked that the pair could cover Whole New World from the Disney film Aladdin.

He added: "I would be Aladdin and Matt can be Princess Jasmine."

If you watched Season 7 of the U.K. reality mega-hit The X Factor, then chances are you know contestant Aiden Grimshaw. Or if you're one of his hundreds of thousands of Twitter and Facebook fans, then- obviously- you know Aiden Grimshaw.

But if you don't know him yet, then get ready...because after finishing as an X Factor finalist and inking a record deal with Sony RCA, the 20-year-old is gearing up to officially break out stateside.

Luckily, we've got your first listen of his highly anticipated new single "Is This Love." With slick production, tons of sparkly synths, and a throbbing percussion backbone, it's only a matter of time before the track pops up at house parties, clubs, and pretty much everywhere else really soon.

In the meantime, though, give your ears a jump start below and let us know what you think!

During series seven of The X Factor, Aiden Grimshaw – bequiffed and
possessing the earnest air of someone who wrote a lot of poetry – was
one of the favourites to win, his rendition of Tears For Fears' Mad
World on the first live show displaying some semblance of star power (the Twilight-esque pallor may have helped too). But, as with any character trait that emerges on The X Factor, this natural propensity for seriousness was repackaged as caricature and by week six his dismal cover of Rocket Man saw him booted off in favour of Katie Waissel.

While Matt Cardle went on to win, it was assumed Grimshaw would join the pub circuit and nothing would be heard from him again. Well, last week he released Is This Love, the first single from his forthcoming album Misty Eye, and very good it is too. It harnesses that intensity ("there's a fiery eye in the middle of the dark sea, and it's pulling me down and I can't breathe", goes one lyric) and bolting it onto a 90s-influenced, almost trip-hop beat that explodes underneath a huge chorus to create something simultaneously intimate and epic.

For the video – premiered here exclusively – we see a young man who isn't Aiden (although he does make a cameo: pay extra close attention around the 1:14 mark) having a bit of a bad time of it regarding relationships.

Good to see Aiden getting some love in USA, he deserves it, he's brilliant!

I really like his second single, he's got a lovely tone to his voice. I do prefer Is This Love though.
