AIDEN I've absolutely loved every performance he has done so far (yes even Jealous guy ) I just wish Danni would give him better songs Diamonds are forever was such a wtf songchoice. He still did a really great job with it though

X Factor: Aiden Grimshaw risks wrath of Cheryl Cole with backstage comments





X Factor’s Aiden Grimshaw has risked the wrath of judge Cheryl Cole by suggesting that he doesn’t care about her opinion.

The 18-year-old wowed the audience and judges with his impressive performance of Diamonds Are Forever during the Guilty Pleasures round on Saturday night.

However, while Cheryl admitted she liked it, she added: “What I would say is that you’re a very, very intense performer – really intense to watch, which for me personally I would love, but I’m not sure everyone would get it.

“I don’t think I could watch on tour 22 songs of that intensity.”

Speaking about his performance and Cheryl’s comments backstage afterwards, Aiden said: “It was really good. I really enjoyed it.”

He then added, as he shrugged his shoulders: “It was a bit too intense for Cheryl she said but, oh well.”

X Factor 2010 star Aiden Grimshaw's mum has told OK! exclusively that her son is NOT a womaniser.
X Factor 2010 wannabe Aiden has hit the headlines after splitting from his girlfriend of three-and-a-half years and reportedly kissing a dancer backstage.

But the woman who knows him best - his mum! - has told OK! that he is not a ladies' man and that we shouldn't believe the rumours.

Joanna told us: "Aiden and his ex-girlfriend were together since they were 15 - that tells you everything. There's no way he's a womaniser."

And asked whether he is popular with the girls like the papers suggest, she added: "No, that's complete nonsense."

She also revealed that 18-year-old Aiden is pretty secretive when it comes to girls.

Asked about rumours Aiden and Cher Lloyd were getting close backstage she said: "It's the most uncool thing in the world to talk to me about that stuff - and I'm not interested to be honest."

'X Factor' Aiden: 'Video shoot was weird'




Aiden Grimshaw has admitted that filming the video for this year's X Factor charity single was difficult.

The 18-year-old singer, whose version of 'Thriller' had a mixed reaction from the judges last week, said that it was hard to "act natural" alongside the presence of make-up artists and cameras.

He told the show's official website: "It's weird, there is a massive room full of people and you're trying to sing and act natural as if you're the only one there, but really there's a big light in your face and cameras all up in your grill!

"It's loads of fun - it's a bit weird though! People won't stop following us around sorting our hair and make-up every five seconds… anyone would think we're popstars. It's really nice to see everyone again, especially Nicolo."

Grimshaw joked when asked of his preferred video style: “My videos might be like Blair Witch, I'll just film them myself! It'd be a lot less hassle! No, only joking, I'm loving it… the whole process is really exciting. It's a great experience of what it would be like to do your own video."

X Factor finalist Aiden Grimshaw has promised that he will be more ‘fun’ on this week’s show.

The 18 year old singer has been criticised in previous weeks for being too ‘intense’ in his performances but he has assured fans that he will even dance when singing his ‘American Anthem’ on Saturday.

Speaking in his official video diary, Aiden said:

This week there’s been a change in the theme. I think I’ve got quite a cool song, quite contemporary and I can’t wait because I get to run about and bust some moves.

I am quite fun. Everyone keeps saying I’m intense, but I’m not that intense. I just pull faces sometimes.

Although his rendition of Michael Jackson’s Thriller didn’t go down well with the judges last week, Aiden revealed that he did enjoy singing the song. He said:

Last week, I enjoyed it. I thought it was cool. I got to do my own version of a massive song but I couldn’t do it like Michael Jackson, because I didn’t want to slaughter a Michael Jackson song because only Michael Jackson can do Michael Jackson. So I tried a new arrangement, I tried to make it a bit thinky but perhaps I was a bit self indulgent.

I miss him already. It's irrelevant to me personally, but I hope he gets to join the tour based on principle alone. (Treyc, too!) Enough of the Weasel already.

Ruth Lorenzo is my all-time favorite XF contestant, but it is like part-Laura White (whom I also ), part Lucie Jones (controversy factor), and part Maria Lawson (removing a threat who had a fluke of a week).

Thing is, I was semi-liking Katie after her Week 3 performance of that song from The Jungle Book, but it's just bogus that both Aiden and Treyc were freaked six ways from Sunday in favor of the act the British public are explicitly stating "DO NOT WANT" towards.

As long as Aiden blossoms into a good musician and is happy in his musical future, then that's all that matters. I do hope he makes tour though, along with Treyc, because it's the least the producers can do to compensate for their controversial eliminations, no?

Oh well, happy thoughts! I essentially liked every single Aiden performance to varying degrees. I've come to accept the flaws in some performances, since technical standards are pretty low and all this season apparently, haha. Aiden rose above that:

01) "Diamonds Are Forever" (week 3)
02) "Mad World" (week 1)
03) "Nothing Compares 2 U" (week 5)
04) "Don't Dream It's Over" (sing-off)
05) "Thriller" (week 4)
06) "Jealous Guy" (week 2)
07) "Rocket Man" (week 6)

Not sure about the last 3, only because I don't watch them back as often as the first 3-4. But Aiden definitely won the nights for the first three mentioned, imho, and we'll see what happens with future sing-offs. 7 performances ain't nothing to scoff at, that's for sure.
