I Met Chris in Singapore!, and the whole band too Options

Another round of meeting Josh Paul/Robin/ Chris (for like 5 seconds- thanks to his bodyguard and a really ugly/grumpy security lady who threatened to ban me/Jasmine permanently from the hotel)

I wanted to head to school at around 9:30, but guess what! I receive a call from another Daughtry fan who's a mother of two, Jasmine telling me she's at starbucks at a certain mall and guess who's seated at the entrance! Josh Paul! Instantly, I decide to head down to the mall instead of going to class, and it paid off. He was still there after 20 minutes. Hardly anyone notices it's JP, he's seated alone on the phone while having coffee. A few minutes later, Robin walks over to JP, but he notices me *gasp* from afar, apparently, my hair color and loud voice stands out, and he heads over to me a few moments later to say hello, how are you doing, and I stretch my arms out while seated to reach over to hug him while he's standing. Jasmine gets introduced to him. Robin asks where the bathroom is and I tell him to keep right then left but he apparently never heads there, but talks to me/Jasmine instead before JP comes and notices me, I ask him if we could take another picture and he says he'd get back to me in a second after buying more coffee! LOL! Robin continues to talk to us, and I write him a note saying thanks for the photo and hug, you're even more awesome! xxx Natalie, and I hand it over to him...

Robin says thanks and tells me that I'm the first person who recognized him and the first fan of his in Singapore...something along those lines. HOLY CRAP. I thought I said last night that I love Robin a million times more last night? Multiply it by a million times more again!!!!!!!!!!!! He says the words that make me feel like I own the world! I ask if I can take another photo with him and he agrees to it......this photo looks like a couple shot with my face in a different color. Then we head out to the table JP was originally at and Jasmine gets his signature, then shows him a video of her daughter dancing and Robin writes another autograph personalized to her daughter! JP comes out and we take a photo, I get him to sign for me, asking him to write my name but he decides to write half of my name instead... I prefer to be called Nate for short but nevermind, it's Josh Paul so I'm not complaining. Jasmine and I say goodbye to the boys as they head into the mall to do some shopping... we have food and walk around....

then we run into Mariah Carey's back-up dancers inside a store, and after lunch at another hotel, I manage to see Jenson Button, the current reigning world champion in F1, and I'm the only person who manages to have my photo taken with him out of the 10 or so fans..... repeat of last year.

It starts pouring heavily, and 2 of the photo-deprived fans send us back to the mall which we met JP/Robin at... and gasp. Guess who we see at the rear end of the hotel. CHRIS DAUGHTRY again. I chicken out and head to the bathroom as I don't want to think I'm stalking him which is a bad move- when I met up with Jasmine after that, she had gotten 2 photos with him, his bodyguard was friendly then......but 20 minutes when he reappears from the other side of the hotel, the same bodyguard said no when I asked if I could get another photo... did manage to hand him the photo from yesterday that I had developed, and ask for a signature, and he obliges......then the grouch security lady (she's likely the same idiot that messed up my photo with Jenson Button from last year) starts threatening to get rid of us, and wants to ban Jasmine and I permanently from the hotel for invading privacy.......... Well, at least I got Chris to sign for me. (I had my cd/fansign vandalized by him 3 years ago). EPIC!!!!!!!!!!


5am, Singapore time on September 24.
OH.MY.GOD. I am speechless.

After two previous unsuccessful attempts at getting a photo with him- the first time in 2007 when the band descended upon the shores here, I managed to get a hug and autograph but now......... the priceless moment came.

Last minute decision to making a trip down to the airport at 11:30pm with a friend, her husband and daughter. Made a fansign for Chris (Chris= Female Viagra), I thought of it while having my dinner, with the idea of what men use for enhancement and steroids/balco.

Waiting out for 2 hours to meet the band, and finally got photos with EVERYONE! Especially the MAN.

Chris' minder is rather strict, only allowing me to have one photo (I felt like taking another one cause I had my eyes half open) But he was the nicest among all the security guys that I've seen the band with in previous trips to Singapore.

Chris was quiet, I showed him my sign that said "Chris= Female Viagra" and he laughed saying all the time/always am! (either one I don't recall). My conversation with him went like this "hey Chris do you remember me? "yeah" "can I get a photo with you" (his minder says he'll take it for me but another elderly fan is next to me so I pass my camera to her instead. I show him the sign, and tell him I'd be at the concert on Saturday. Then I thank him and leave, cause he looked really tired.

Steely was hotter than before, I spoke to him twice. First was when I got done talking to JP, and the second time was after I got my photo with Chris. Had 2 photos, told him his tattoos were awesome. Asked him if he remembered me, he said yes then I rattled off that I have to study next week for mid terms but meeting the band comes first... hah. Got him to sign for me and asked him to address it to me. (I asked him if I could run after Chris and he said he was at Macdonald's and you better be quick)


Josh Paul, the first guy that came out after collecting his bags at the carousel... he was tired but we still talked for like 2 minutes. conversation went like this: Hey Josh, do you still remember me?" he says yeah, then I ask for a photo and he replies sure, I hand my camera over to Siti's daughter and she takes it... I say thanks and tell him that I would be at the concert on Saturday... and he says something along the lines of cool. (I was already spazzing and could not remember much!)


Brian was the last guy whom I got my photo with, it was hard to recognize him (Steely had to tell me which guy he was lol) with his beanie and he was very quiet. conversation I had with him was basically the same as the other guys... When I went up to say hi, he stretched out his hand for me to shake, a little formal which was fine with me, he gave a good handshake!

Robin Diaz. I really love the man a million times more than I did yesterday, and a gazillion times from the day he replaced Joey. I was rather bummed with Joey leaving (still miss Joey) but Robin is by far the most down to earth and humble celeb I've ever met. The way he talked to me felt like I had known him forever... told him the same things I said to everyone else ie coming to the show, taking a photo etc... when i went up to him initially, after Steely, he asks for my name, first thing... what a sweetie! (I did tell him I liked him playing in other bands before joining Daughtry... and he smiled)

I took the first photo stretching my arm out, after that he asked me to check and I'm like can we get another one it doesnt look too good and i'm like could you take it instead? so he asks me which button to press, I tell him the one on the extreme right and snap! it turns out better...... considering its taken at nearly 2am... I had originally wanted to chase after Chris as everyone is taking turns to have a photo with him but Robin and I are still talking, as I tell him that I'll be going to the concert on Saturday. He keeps telling me "you're awesome" and I ask for an autograph, he personalizes it for me... then he laughs at himself as he messes up "ur" from "ur awesome" that he wrote...lol. He is so funny! he asks me what school do I go to and i say "singapore institute of management (a local college here) and I study communication and public speaking.

I end up coming to talk to him after talking to Brian, and when I tell him i'm still in school he says good, so i ask so what about you and he's like I'm not in school, then i say that I dropped out of school after doing 2 years of theater... and he's like stay in school! Chris' minder comes out and tells the boys they have to leave, and Robin stretches out his arms towards me for a hug, I wrap both arms around him tightly and say love you at least 10 times and he's replies "love you!" Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

For that, I'm making a fan sign with his name on it to bring to the concert.

I could die happy right now. Sleep deprived for later but I had to get it out of my chest.

1 more day to the concert, Sunday will be hell day with a social research quiz on Monday and 4 chapters to study.

lmao I love the words you wrote on the fan sign. Funny. I'm glad you got to experience that and I'm glad to hear about Robin. A friend of mine told me how nice he was so I'm glad he's in the band. Have fun on Saturday! Thank you for sharing.

I never expected that I would get to talk to every member of Daughtry at the airport- there were only 7 people (me, my friend, her husband, kid, an elderly couple and another man). The boys were very tired after flying for close to 21 hours from LA, but they still took time out to take photos and say hello!

Less than 22 hours till the concert! I cannot wait! Still need to make a fan sign for Robin and perhaps JP and one for the band as a whole. I'm thinking of doing a marriage proposal to Robin, but he's married- saw a ring on his finger! I told Robin that I saw the boys on Lopez and Dancing with the Stars and he said that DWTS was lame lol and how did I manage to watch it... I laughed and told him that I've got cable/satellite tv at home so I watch it on delayed telecast and Michael Bolton is my favorite till whoever dances to another song from the band on the show!

I forgot to mention, Robin is almost the same height as me- 5"3! Finally someone my size!
