I'd rather she stayed true to herself and not have to resort to that sort of thing. Gimmicks fade away.

I agree that crapp belongs to the fakes like ga ga, Kesha, and so on. She should stay true to herself and maybe wait till it's her year to shine, when music is good and make sense not the music is one thing and the video has nothing what so ever to do with the music period ( ga ga ) isfamous for and Kesha well that is crapp period. Music made by people that way garbage.

I don't think the music scene is gonna be changing any time soon unfortunately..wer'e stuck in gimmick mode for a while yet and Allison can't afford to wait.She'll just have to circumnavigate her way around all the rubbish...

Sure she can wait, she's only 18. She just needs to keep making music, if it makes her happy.

oh, age wise she can afford to wait , but I meant she's raring to go now, and dosn't want to wait for a change in the music scene ( which may not come for some time anyway).We know she's capable of being up there with the best of them, despite her young age. She'll just have to keep plugging away... I'm sure there'll be a breakthrough point somewhere.

Allison doesn't need a gimmick, her voice and her look are so one of a kind, no extra pazazz needed, IMO. Also, she seems happy with the track her career has taken for the most part, she's been able to grow up a little before she becomes the Icon she's destined to become. She's got more growing to do, she's still sooooo young.

I know I'm a bit late on this thread, but....

I agree that it wasn't her best, but she stayed true to herself and did a great job.

The real problem I see is that she was auto tuned during her performance. You can really here it after 2.39 on the first video on this thread. I like it when she sings without the auto tuner, it's way more natural and frankly it sounds way better. I have no idea who did this or why they did this on her performance, but they obviously don't get that Allison doesn't need to be T-Pain'd to sound good

She should be on because Adam was on and it would help sell more of her album and bring her populairity up.
