I always thought Idol was holding Casey back. Look at all his homecoming videos, it's like a completely different person. He just isn't the ~American Idol~ kinda guy.
With all this publicity he can get a deal and just really be himself. Casey looked happier than he has in weeks when he was kicked off and singing to that little girl. --------------------

I dont know if I am relieved. But I am proud of him that he made it this far. If we go back when this started I think most of us predicted him going out at like five or six. His future is bright. If he goes rock/blues or puts that rock blues into a country career he will be great. And if he does sign with 19 and decides to go country I hope he signs with arista or bna. Idol seems to stay out of all that and let the artist flourish.And lets them have say in there careers.

I'm relieved just for the pure fact that if he had stayed he would have had so much backlash of whoever got kicked off instead of him. Also, now I wont be a crazy person in front of Tyler at the Idol Finale party i'm going too. hahaha

Yeah, in this season 3rd was better than 2nd. I'm not even sure if they will sign 2nd if Lee wins. She's going to be a tough sell.

If Lee wins you may be right in a way., They might put her with a smaller label where she can do a more indi thing and have more control. Because I dont see her making music that will sell. She doesnt really have a place to market her too. In the end depending on where casey ends up he may end up selling the most out of the three

Oh, and I'm glad he doesn't have to sing the coronation song. It just would've been so odd.

I'm kind of relieved. I'm just tired of how he was treated. I feel like Idol was sucking the life out of him. Just looking at him from the beginning of the show to now, he looked so much happier when he started and almost like he wasn't very into it anymore lately.
Now he can go on tour, hopefully get a record contract, and sing the music he wants to sing.  --------------------

i loved every performance he did during his homecoming. but he was so different on idol. it was just not his scene.

If Casey's happy, I'm happy!
  I agree with everyone who says that Idol seemed to be sucking some life out of him towards the end. I think between how they treated him, and him not getting to play FULL SONGS and play how he wanted, I think he was ready to leave. I know we'll see great things from him!  --------------------

I think thrid will be great. Even if he gets signed by sony bmg he wont have to put out a album right away. it can be say a spring release and he can make it really good

Now he can do full length versions of songs he wants to perform with as many kick ass solos as he wants without a bunch of jealous bullies judging him. I am in complete agreement. Casey will do far better without the show and their incompetence.
There are always 2 losers on the finale: The one who comes in 2nd and the one who wins and gets stuck with those dreadful songs and the execs just ready and waiting to take all of the profits. --------------------

I'm relieved that I don't have to watch the judges belittle Casey anymore.
Does anyone here think the TPTB are smart enough to realize Casey is going to have a great career post idol and he was bussed because the only way Crystal or Lee will sell anything post idol will be because they were the Idol champ? --------------------
