...if you dislike some of her fans a lot more?
I would have laughed at the idea a few months ago. Not anymore. I was rewatching some of the Idol Rewind shows recently and instead of enjoying her performances, I thought about some of her most obnoxious fans and I actually liked Kat less! I can't explain it but who am I to argue with myself. And this too shall pass? I guess we'll see... --------------------

I hate many fanbases of Idols I love. It's never reflected on the artist for me.

Every artist has those fans that are complete obsessive jerks. I LOVE Carrie Underwood, but I have noticed that her fanbase tends to be made up of people who are completely blinded by their love for her and feel that their opinion of how great every little thing Carrie does and says is the only correct opinion. I tend to like fans that can admit when they do not like something their....well, for lack of a better word, Idol...does or says or wears or whatever. For example, I am a really big fan of Taylor Swift, but I can admit that she sucks as a live singer, because the fact that she is one of my favorite singers doesn't make her flaws vanish. It would just be nice if people could be fans but still acknowledge that their idol has flaws and that not everyone is going to overlook them. I think there are some Kat fans that do this and some that will defend her every move. I tend to see more of the former happening in this forum, which is good.
I don't feel like you should let people indirectly related to Katharine make you like her any less, though. They are not an extension of her, so why put the blame on her instead of/in addition to the people that are actually being annoying. --------------------

I always thought her fanbase was nice. Relatively speaking of course. Daughtry, Elliott and Taylor's were far worse in terms of bashing Kat than we were of them. I spent alot of time on the board to notice that.

The fans don't make a difference at all. However, recently, I have to admit that I haven't been enjoying Kat's performances as much as I used to, because without a guitar in her hand, she just doesn't convey the raw emotion in her voice that I like to see in an artist!

I have followed Kat's career since Season 5. Kat has always been my favorite and cannot support any other AI contestants. There has been ups and downs with her music/movie/TV career but I believe Kat will overcome the downs and new opportunities will open many doors. She will prevail with the many outstanding connections she has developed with during her budding career.

Sometimes I'm disgusted with some of the threads that are put up on the boards, but it shouldn't reflect what you feel for the artist. This year it's obvious by my username,. I got into another Idol big time. Her fanbase is about the same as any other,. so we really shouldn't punish the artist for the level of intelligence of her fans.

I hated Elliott, Taylor and Chris D more because of their insane fans. I did not like those idols in the first place and their fans made it worse. They really had some mean fans. More mean than any Kat fans were IMO.
