I can confirm that Adam's going to be on Ellen in the next few weeks.

At my bff's 22nd birthday, I reconnected with a friend who is currently working as an assistant producer on Ellen (we all started together as interns at NBC like 3 years ago), so she's in charge of a lot of bookings and like babysitting guests when they come on. I told her that there were two people that she had to get me tickets to see if they were ever on Ellen - one of them was Adam.

She said "Omg, really? I just booked him like last week, he'll be on soon." She's not sure exactly when so she's checking the date for sure on Monday when she gets into work and then she's going to text me if she can get me tickets. She thinks it's for late November/early December. But they have a week off at Thanksgiving, so she's thinking it's the week right after that.

But, yeah, he was JUST booked so this is a pretty recent development it looks like. I'm crossing my fingers that it's more than 5 weeks away - because that's how far in advance she needs to put in for guest tickets.

So here we are a week later and....

On Sunday, we pined away for news... any news... but alas nothing was unearthed by our very talented Nancy Drews... Total drought!

On Monday, we got the album title: “For Your Entertainment”. Rumors of Lady Gaga being in studio with Adam surfaced! iTunes USA and Canada finally put up TfM for download. ET gave us a teaser preview of the Details Magazine photoshoot. Mad World was played on General Hospital as part of a story line (to be used in the following days as well). A poll was opened for nominations to the People’s Choice Awards. We either get nothing or we’re drowned in a downpour of news!!!

On Tuesday, Adam confirmed that he recorded a song written by Lady Gaga which she thought would be perfect for him. AMA published a video with apologies to Adam’s fans... We’re still not sure why but we never question more videos of Adam!!!! We got a sneak preview at the “Making of the TfM video” and we all collapsed in a big pile of gahhhhs! Video of the Details Magazine photoshoot was put up on the official site of Details.com. We also finally got to see Adam’s reaction to the Details Magazine pictures and he was Adam at his best... confident, adorable, potty-mouthed, huggable, playful and endearing. We also got a date for the Oprah appearance, October 29th!!!! Umbrellas anyone?

On Wednesday, we got the video of Time for Miracles and Adam is absolutely breathtaking in it. Lindsay Parker got to hear four songs and reviewed three, teasing us with the fact that she was not ‘allowed’ to discuss the fourth one yet. Her review has been picked up by countless bloggers... I have never read such a glowing review EVER! Tsunami on the horizon!

On Thursday, a Zodiac Show trailer was posted on Youtube. More extensive footage of the Detail Magazine photoshoot showed up on the Internet... It’s OK. None of us minded getting drenched in THAT downpour!

On Friday, we avidly followed tweets from various producers/songwriters/collaborators on possible songs... only to find out that they were even more avidly following Hollygo72’s album thread... Tit for tat? Alas no album news/single/tracklist was announced... Back to a light drizzle...

On Saturday, we got new footage of behind the scenes at the TfM video shoot... Adam, as always, made our collective heart flutter... And we later found out that Adam would be performing at a private event in Florida... WITH HIS OWN DANCERS!!!! A report that he sang Ring of Fire, Black or White, Mad World, Born to Be Wild and Whole Lotta Love could not be confirmed tonight.

All in all, I would like to suggest to all Adam fans that they stock up on Dramamine... The Adam Storm is about to rock the boat!

I like the song. As a member of the Academy, I think I can tell you that the rules have changed this year. Some categories (including song) may be eliminated if the nominating members (or Board) don’t think there’s enough good stuff out there to nominate. I think that’s a shame, myself, because there’s always good stuff, but maybe only in movies that are too small to get much attention. But the Academy at large votes on the winner, if there is a category. Composers I know get a little outraged at what gets nominated (and wins), because it’s usually far from the best stuff. All that said, I like this movie song best so far and will probably vote for it if it gets nominated.

Well since this is the first Week in Review, we’re going to go back a little more than a week.

From the time Adam threw his last necklace to the audience on September 15th, we, his fans, have been chomping at the bit for any tidbit of information about Adam’s album, his whereabouts... anything really. We were all amazed when Adam’s CD was put up for presales on Amazon and within hours, it was #1 and it stayed there for days. At the time of this post, it has stayed one of the top 10 CDs for pre-order!!!! And this was achieved WITHOUT any press release, marketing, first single and nary a note had been heard!

But Adam’s fans craved for more, alas the morsels were few and far between, so we got anxious and things got ugly... Yup I’m talking about threatening the lives of kittens and puppies...

But when recipes for cooking kittens and puppies started changing hands, the pets fought back.

Exhibit B

It was clearly Time for Miracles and on October 9th, we got just that! A snippet on AOL and then a video of ‘The Making of’ were released and we proceeded to loop them on our computers... It only served to wet our appetites!

Now to the real week in review...

On Sunday, we started hearing rumors of Adam possibly appearing on Ryan Seacrest’s morning show... The speculations were rampant... was it for the CD? The single? Time for Miracles?

On Monday, we found out that Adam would be announcing the AMA nominations with Paula Abdul and Snoop Dog... And then producers of Ryan’s show started twittering about BIG NEWS!!! Could it be that he would perform at the AMA as well? Would he be touring with Lady Gaga? Appearing on SNL?

On Tuesday, Adam confirmed that he would perform his first single on the AMA and I mean PERFORM – he’s talking choreography, explosions, fire (ya know... little flickers, really subtle). We then got an interview with Rob Cavallo who disclosed song titles!!! Be still our collective hearts! But the day was not done yet... We then heard that Adam’s Time for Miracles video would be played around the world before the Michael Jackson’s movie This Is It!!! Ok, forget about a still heart, we’re talking palpitations! And on a non-entertainment note, Adam and Drake were spotted shopping at 7/11 where they bumped into Brandy... Papparazzi followed Adam and Drake to the car where they exchanged a kiss for all to see!

On Wednesday, it was announced that Adam would be IN Out magazine... later in the week, we found out he is ON THE COVER! A particularly exciting quote of Adam’s was the following: "There is a lot of pressure right now! My pre-sales are really adding up, and I just want to make my fans happy and live up to their expectations." We also got a preview of the Walmart Soundcheck interview! But the REALLY, REALLY big news was that Adam would be appearing on OPRAH!!!! Mayhem ensued and fans scrambled to get into the taping which was to take place on Friday.

On Thursday, we got pictures of Adam in studio... He of course looked totally adorable and gave us some insight into his upcoming CD. Then an interview with Adam in Entertainment Weekly gave us more details on some of the songs (titles and background info in Adam’s own words). And last but certainly not least... Adam confirmed that he would be at the premiere of 2012!!! Red carpet, pics, videos... things dreams are made of, folks!

On Friday, some of our very own Skanks attended the Oprah taping and as of the time of this post, we don’t have the date it will air. However, someone checked next week’s schedule and it will NOT air in the coming week. Then all hell broke loose when we found out Adam had hetero-type pictures in the November issue of Details Magazine and as if things were not wild enough, Adam then tweeted this: “I'm going to be on the cover of the November issue of Details Magazine. The photoshoot got pretty racy- you all are in for a surprise.” Adam actually thinks it got ‘pretty racy’! Adam thinks this? I mean, Adam? The wild, no-holds-bar, ‘little flickers, subtle’ Adam? Now remember the ‘be still my heart’, ‘heart palpitations’? Well forget about those, bring out the defibrillators...

On Saturday, we finally got the whole Time for Miracles from iTunes (not U.S. or Canada, mind you, but Italy, Belgium and The Netherlands)... It is absolutely everything Brian May described! Adam’s voice soars through the song and leaves us wanting more after that last note... Of course looping the song solves that problem!!!! And to finish off the week (and many of us), we got leaks of the pictures in Details Magazine which Adam qualified as ‘pretty racy’... Remember the defibrillators? None needed, we’ve gone to Heaven!!!!!

There is no way to even begin to surmise what next week will bring... Stay tuned!

Itching to work with... Lady Gaga. She has a bold look, and her music is awesome. We could have a lot of fun performing together.

Favorite discovery The iPhone. I love the Bump app that lets you exchange contact information with someone by bumping your phones together, and SpeakEasy is really great for recording vocals

Signature Scent Dior Homme. It's so yummy.

Style icons David Bowie, Marc Bolan, Mick Jagger, Steven Tyler, Prince, and Michael Jackson were big influences on me.

Fashion Faves Gareth Pugh has a men's line that's unbelievable. There's SkinGraft, an L.A. design house that made a lot of my leather jackets and accessories on Idol, Brian Lichtenberg, who does holographic leggings and sweatshirts, Diesel jeans, and Loree Rodkin jewelry.

Drink of choice... I'm addicted to those 5-Hour Energy shots and unsweetened iced coffees.

Recent spurge... My four-day get-away to the Bacara Resort and Spa in Santa Barbara. It cost a pretty penny but was well worth it.

Beauty essentials... OPI nail polish, MAC Smolder eyeliner, and Bed Head styling products

Necessary extravagance... Manicures. Often I paint my own nails, but on tour there's a manicurist on-site -- and she does a much better job!

If I didn't audition for Idol... I would still be a chorus boy in Wicked in Los Angeles.

Looking forward to... My album -- it's 100 percent me. Rock, pop, dance, electronic, and funk -- a little bit of everything.

Hey, Skanks, I'm back!

I see the lovely Mindchnger has already tweeted the gist of it, so you guys know the highlights.

Basically Adam came on live via video, wore a simple black T, no makeup, his hair was emo, back to the old part, which will make some of you happy. He looked relaxed and happy! They played BTBW on the big screen to huge cheers from everyone. He was voted favorite reality show star by the Oprah audience, which is why he was on. Said his album drops Nov 23rd, which really surprised us. He said it twice, I believe. Oprah asked him whether he'd come back to sing something at a later date and he said "I really hope so". Had the feeling Oprah really wants him on the show. He was asked about whether he was upset that he didn't win and he gave the usual answer, that no, he still got everything he wanted.

There were no revelations about single, TfM, any more songs, nothing. It was really short and sweet. I'll try to remember more but both of us were a bit dazed right after the taping and couldn't remember all the details. It was a bit surreal. Oh, and Randy looks exactly the same as he does on TV.

PS. They said they didn't have a fixed air date for the show, but it will be soon and the title will be something like Reality Shows something or other. Our bet was probably a week from this coming Monday.

Just got a call from the Oprah show re: Adam on Oprah

I just got a call from the Oprah Winfrey show. No kidding. They said on Friday that they would have Adam on the show on Friday by satellite (**see disclaimer at bottom of OP regarding actual airing of the show). They explained seating was limited. I told them I could not attend but my question was:

Adam, you show much joy, abandon, and enthusiasm when you sing and it brings great joy to your fans. How do you feel when you are performing for us?

**Disclaimer*** The person I talked to did not say that the show would AIR on Friday, so I feel I need to put this here as I don't know if the show is live or taped when it airs. I am usually not home when it is on. I will be this Friday, so I'll tune in regardless. Hope this makes sense.

Yes. I am more than positive that we were the only one with someone there. Wouldn't you say Hollygo. As I was telling her, I see the same people all the time at events. I was telling her who some of the photographers outlets were as they would come in. However, there was definitely a lot more media then at past events and more than the year before. They had 4 long rows set up. The first two were for photographers, then the third were for reporters. The fourth row was for guest (ie..publicists, record company and other industry). The back area is where all the video people were on a riser with their cameras. Once the photo call was done, all the photographers left leaving on video(TV), radio and print reporters for the one on one interviews with everyone. The video/TV people were then bought down to be the first in line or interviews.

They were very detailed and even had the seats marked by publication and outlet. Hollygo was my assistant/photographer (yes with the little camera) that was comical and she was assigned for the second row and I was the third row. So when you look at who was left in the room once all the photographers left. It wasn't near as many as during the press conference yet all media. So I would say that we were pretty great ful to be there and for them letting me bring an assistant as well as I am sure other avenues of my outlet were more than likely turned away for me to do it. I do PR as well so was going to look into as well through it for this and the show, but before I could I got an email invite for it. No presenters were announced at that time and it is so early and long and I had so much to do that weekend, so I was not going to attend. But as soon as I saw Adam on the final release, that made my decision to go. Luckily Hollygo was with me as by having two of us there, we could get more scoop, pictures andbasic info for the for the board. So hands up Hollygo for just being around Adam the whole time for added info that I would n't have gotten. Then being one of the last ones to interview ended up working out to my advantage as well.
Just got my third story done which has the Adam group interview which Hollygo told you about. Will let you know when it is up. Still working on the Jai, Snoop and Paula one. Snoop talks so low that I have to play the interview back on my recorder a bunch of times and I had it on the highest volume.

I'm back!!!

That was both AWESOME and occassionally hilarious!

First I'd like to Entermediamusic (poster here) for letting me be her "photographer" for today. She brought me in as her "assistant" for her media outlet. THAT's how I got in!

I basically spent 2 hours hovering just a few feet away from Adam as I attempted to eavesdrop on his TV interviews, take pictures and chat up some of the other reporters.

I met Dish of Salt/Laura Saltman! I told her the Lambskanks loved her and she started cracking up. I got a hilarious picture of her posing with Adam in the back ground and her sticking her head in the shot. I'll have to get them up this evening.

Ummm...please ask me TONS OF QUESTIONS and I'll do my best to remember.

A quick rundown.

I chatted with Laura Saltman. She's getting a private one on one interview with Adam as I type this. I told her that I heard a rumor that Adam was booked on Saturday Night Live and told her to ask him about it (because I knew I wouldn't get the chance too). She seemed really interested when I said it, so fingers crossed that she asks him!

Terri Seymore was there and interviewed him for a long time They exchanged hugs.

In between interviews there was a lady touching up his make up and fluffing up his hair. That was pretty cute and funny. She was short so he would spread his legs out wide and crouch down for her so she could reach his head. I TRIED to get a picture of it but some jerk photographer kept jumping in front of me!

I just have to say that he was SO made for this. He was SO relaxed, so charming, so patient, so polite with all of the reporters. He got asked a lot of the same questions over and over again and he answered them like he was being asked the first time.

I was eavesdropping on one interview and she must have asked him about his living situation. He mentioned that he had a place and that it had lots of guest rooms for his friends and family to visit. He basically he was pretty much settled in (meaning he got a place. Not 100% sure but it sounded like he's already bought a home).

The other "scoop" was he was giving details on his "Time For Miracles" music video (I believe it was to MTV. Keep an eye out for that because the guy was asking a lot of really good questions). Like Libracats mentioned, he shot scenes were there was a lot of chaos and destruction going on. Riots, looting and stuff. And he was walking calmly through the chaos singing his song focused on the camera.

Adam spent the bulk of his time giving interviews to the television news outlets. By the time they got to the print media/radio we all had to gather in a crowd and shout out questions. I threw out the what was his favorite AMA performance in the past. I was piggy backing on someone else's question. I kinda stumped him because he looked at me and was like "Ummm...can you help me out here?" So I mouthed "Paula Abdul?" He kinda chuckled but before he could say anything else another reporter shot him a question.

My OTHER question I managed to get out was how many songs did HE co-write and with who. He said he co-wrote about 6 or 7. He wrote with Kara Dioguardi and he's written a LOT with Greg Wells (who he's been working with the past few days (out of like 24 or so).

He also said he has about another week of recording. And that after that, once they get all the masters then he and the label will get together and listen to what they've got and start picking songs.

That's all I can think of right now. Please ask me questions, I might remember more stuff!

Oh! And his eyes are just GORGEOUS close up (last time I met him he refused to take off his shades). Ice blue and piercing.

Oh, and I did stare...there...and he was either wearing boxers or going commando because little Adam seemed to be moving around a LOT!

And more:

Can I just say, that they put me in the photographers section (I had my own assigned seat and everything!). I was cracking up because EVERYONE around me had these high powered, super zoom lens fancy cameras and all I had was this TINY hand held digital!!

When they had the photo call, I went up with the rest of the photographers - you should have seen me!! It was HILARIOUS!!!


She's not done yet! In response to: So, did our poster here who got you in get a one on one interview?

No she didn't. We were stuck in the group shouting out questions.

Oh, and keep and eye out for the Extra interview. Terri Seymour asked Adam something the he teasingly refused to answer. He said "I can't say anything about that now! It's a surprise!" I wish I could have heard what she asked but missed it.

And yet more....

Oh, and EVERYONE there was screaming Adam's name! Some called out for Paula, but the majority was for Adam. No one screamed for Snoop Dogg.

One more brain hiccup....

Another funny tidbit. I saw Adam's publicist, Roger, come into the room earlier, and I said "Oh, look, there's Roger!" Then Roger turned to me and was like "Hey!" then gave me a hug!? At first I was like "WTF? Uh...OK" then hugged him back.

It was SO WEIRD! I have no idea if he knew who I was or if that was just a publicist thing to pretend they know someone who knows their name.

I am back now as well. Thanks Hollygo for going with me. It was a big help. I was the second to the last one to interview Paula Abdul after Hollygo left . One advance was I got to see Adam again before he left. After he was interview by the last of us in a group. He went in the other one for interviews for Sirrus radio and AH. I could see him in there. He finished those by the time I was wrapping up with Paula so perfect timing. He talked to her while I had a few minutes to ask his publicist a few questions. Then he apologized for interrupting and I got to say goodbye. It was actually Paula who stopped him.More on all of that later. Great write up Holly!

Sorry if Hollygo72 already told this story. I am still trying to read all the pages. As we were waiting in line to interview Adam. Jai's publicist came through the line to see if anyone wanted to interview Jai while waiting. Everyone flat out said no. I was the only one who yes as Adam was still way down the line and the outlet I was next two said that they would hold my space and did. I went to interview Jai in some chair near by. I told him that I was going to find my photographer to get a photo of him. I looked and did not see Hollygo72 any where. Jai said he is probably taking photos. I said it is a she. He then said well has to trying to see Adam. I thought it was funny because when I looked around to see where Adam was moving down the line, I then saw Hollygo72, so Jai was right. Then he started talking about Adam so that was an extra bonus. Then when Hollygo came back over, we went over and got the photo of Jai.

From what I'm hearing, RCA is planning a hot dance track that will chart on Top 40 radio as Adam's first single which will make it complementary with the 2012 track which is more in the Adult Contemporary category. Covering as many areas as possible is vital during the holidays since there is so much competition.
