kms15423 I found this post at an "Idol" site in the news thread about Adam's gig with Queen at Sonisphere. The poster summed up beautifully why this IS such a big deal and I wanted to share it with my feed:

"Queen is a legendary rock band whose lead singer is widely respected as one of, if not the, best male rock singer of many generations. He was a gay man who died tragically young of AIDs related complications effectively robbing the world of his, voice, talent and super charged charisma. Rock music and dare I say, music in general, has been a little less fun and OTT since his passing.

The fact that his last performance was at the very venue where Adam will be performing is a huge deal for so many reasons not the least of which is that Adam will get on that stage as an open and proud gay man (something that Freddie wasn't able to do in his lifetime) and he will sing those songs with as much power and passion as Freddie did. He will bring those songs to life one more time for Brian, Roger and all the fans of Queen who miss them and miss Freddie and he will do it with a voice and a style that, while certainly not as great as Freddie, pretty damn near to it."

The New Musical Express is the worlds biggest and most influental music magazine.

They had two small articles about him (the London showcase and the Queen story) lately. But I had never expected them to interview him - this is huge!

I must confess that I was wrong about Shoshanna when she became Adam's UK publicist at the end of 2011.

It seems that she is doing a great PR job for Adam. She maybe a bit cheeky at times, but she seems to be very hard-working and strong-minded.

Maybe she was restricted by Sony Music UK in the FYE era. Now she has more freedom in how to do things because she is running her own company.
