4/18 - Power outage 6:45pm - 8:30pm eastern time Options

Earlier tonight at 6:45pm eastern time 4/18/2009, our server facility lost electrical power.

Our power backup systems kept our servers up till around 7:15pm, though the power loss also affected internet connectivity, so no users were able to reach our servers since 6:45pm.

Toronto Hydro restored power to our facility at around 8:25pm. All servers were rebooted and came online roughly at 8:30pm. Everything should be back to normal.

This is a new server facility that we're hosting out of and we still need to investigate potential internet connectivity during periods of power outage, which we're not entirely sure is possibly given the nature of the power outage itself. We're sorry for any inconvenience.
