I would hold onto some hope, just for a little bit longer. Just because one place says it doesn't mean it's always true. While there IS the possibility that, sadly, she might have already been dropped... there's always the chance that maybe she hasn't been.

We just have to hope for the best, and if this turns true, we need to continue to support her in anyway we can.

Whoa, both Kristy AND Phil? They gave Phil more time....I felt like they didn't give Kristy even one chance.

Yes, I read it, in it's small entirety. I'm not that ignorant to just state my comments by looking simply at the link. I'm just saying that I would like to wait and hear it from another source that can back this up with possibly a more thorough explanation. Sorry if I'm holding onto a sliver of hope.

It's fine to be optimistic, but if the label confirmed it, then it's a done deal. No need to build your hopes up.

Sorry if I seem like I'm taking it out on you. I don't mean to, but I'm really upset for her about this. She didn't even get a chance to prove herself.

Though I did just look on Arista's site, and she's still on there, so... I don't know. I mean, wouldn't they update the site if she was dropped?

Yeah, they take a while to get the site updated. It took forever for her to even appear on the site after she was signed.

Well, the last "Press Release" was on the first, so I guess we'll be waiting a few days or so to really find out.

who knows what really happened? record companies are really hurting right now and they tend to let go of the lesser-selling artists to help lighten the budget

I just wish they could have given her more of a chance, maybe let her release a second single. I mean, even Blake Lewis, who, before this, was the fastest dropped Idol from a label, got to do two singles before they cut him loose!

I'm definitely not giving up on her. In fact, I think she needs us more than ever right now. I think that everyone who has a myspace should go and leave her messages of love & support, if we can. She's probably feeling pretty crappy right now about this, so we need to lift her spirits somehow, and let her know that we're still on her side and still behind her.

I actually hope this isn't true.

I'm not a big Kristy fan, but why would they sign her in the first place if they were going to drop her so soon? I mean, it's not her fault her album was only recorded in a matter of days, and both the album and single had very little or good promotion. If she was given the right promotion, and given more time to record her album (more time = better quality and more effort put into it).

I think Kristy really has so much potential to do very well, and I want her to be successful. I hope she finds a good label that won't do this to her.

Kristy actually has talent, whereas you look at some of these people on record labels that have no talent, it makes me question why they are not being dropped? It's all so overwhelming. It feels like Top 7 results all over again except more shocking
